BTW I keep forgetting to mention it I am sorry!!! I am horrible I thought the e-mail to the guest was amazing!!! and I wish I would of had that when I sent my e-mail out. :)I agree the TA's name was missing but to be honest I didn't even notice until Meghan mention it. Because after all the Ta would answer the phone with their name, as long as you gave them the # which you did.

oh yesss th list of pictures I want the photographer to take. I know I did the list, and put it somewhere I will look for it tonight. And let you guys see it may help or give me more ideas. Erin, Oh I am so happy you found one that has your date open. I am sorry your more confused tho lol I know how it is. I guess the best thing for you to do is write a list of pro's and con's for the resort and cruise, see what you come up with, also you can check threads on here to get comments and reviews, that might help a lot also check tripadvisor,it's un real what kind of reviews you can find on there. Let us know which you pick, and if you need any help with any research,.

I know my package says they are allowed to change anything as they please with out notice. I am assuming a lot of resorts in DR are like that, the ones I looked at anyways all said they can change the packages. It's not right, i was actually very worried about this as I saved XX amount, so if they come up to me and tell me it'll be another $1000 I'd be definitely screwed!!!

That's horrible, as I understand I based my decision on the packages and it's how I ended up picking the resort I did. I have another option for you, There is a restaurant called 'jellyfish' it's suppose to be perfect for weddings or reception. You can have music and dancing. I just don't know the details of the prices and stuff, it can def be something to look into. There are also other restuarant. I just know of this one because it's very popular. Let us know how it works out in the end. Good luck!!!!

I've been doing my toning, but eating hasn't been going well with me, since I've had no problems with my stomach (crohn's) I can eat almost anything sorta of taking advantage of it lol. Not good tho.. may not even be able to fit into my party/TTD dress!!! Must slow down on the junk food, but it's Xmas time they have so much good food, like the sugar cookies in the can tins.. oh my soo good.. Or Cashews. *drewl* Ok not helping sorry!!!

Well Over the weekend I found out 6 more people are coming, so that makes us at 23 people. Which is just amazing, because i didn't think we would be anymore then 10 including me and the FI but this # isn't even counting us!! It just would be nice if one of the FI's friend actually come through for him and make it down. I still have enough to do, but I also feel like I am missing something, like I forgot about that isn't written down or even thought of. I keep getting bad dreams about this. Here is what I still need to do (that I can think of) - FI shirt/tie - find GM - GM attire -something new, old, and borrowed - docking system for Ipod with speaker’s - decide menu for reception - download most songs and put on Ipod - decide make-up/hair - BM tote bag and towel (with their names) - OOT Bag: type up welcome letter/things to do tote bag (for guest who rsvp after I bought the bags on Friday) hang over kit shot glass for men Print Spanish for dummies (Print a Free Pocket-Sized Phrase Booklet | Spanish - Espaol) Print cross word puzzle book Print resort map/list of room # for guest Deck of cards (not sure if I will go through with this one) - wedding games for cocktail hour (waiting for dinner to start) - arrange meet and greet for guest - translate/legalize all papers/noterize - Cat sitter (Toby, Frank, Chris,Mark) - Good strapless bra - favours (Lanterns) - Candle for lanterns - White chalk (covers wedding dress stains) - sand kit (3 types of sand) Oh my.. will it ever end.. plus the whole Xmas stuff it's getting in the middle of my wedding planning lol!!

my shoot will only be sometime after Xmas

I had a nightmare that I forgot our wedding rings at home and only realized when we got to the resort. It's definitely a lot more stressful then I thought it'd be. But it's mainly due to guest not rsvping or certine people backing down. Everything wedding related I think I'm good to go! I've been doing this engagement/planning for 2 years so I just can't wait untill it's over with!!

No bridesmaid or groomsmen by choice
caribbeanLover replied to purpleshells's topic in Wedding Etiquette, Traditions, to dos
When I got engaged we planned an in town wedding, and so I did pick and ask my girls if they would be BM and MOH. So when plans had changed for a DW I really don't want 3 BM/MOH and 3 GM standing up with us cause that means almost half our wedding party is standing up with us. But now I can't go back and ask them not to be, they even have their dress. To comment on the extra stress, it is very much so I have a one BM who says she is coming ,but spends her money on crazy stupid things and doesn't even have a cent saved for the trip. So I say no biggy, but do I or don't I buy a BM gift for her, do I plan an OOT bag for her? I just don't know!! So yes very much extra stress for nothing!! -

DawnBuckley Rascal Flatts' "My Wish" I really like the words to this song, as it doesn't specify a relationship. the words : "I hope the days come easy And the moments pass slow And each road leads you Where you want to go And if you're faced with the choice And you have to choose I hope you choose the one That means the most to you And if one door opens to another Door closed I hope you keep on walkin' Til you find the window If it's cold outside, show the World the warmth of your smile But more than anything, More than anything CHORUS My wish for you Is that this life becomes all that You want it to Your dreams stay big, Your worries stay small You never need to carry more than you can hold And while you're out there gettin' Where you're gettin' to I hope you know somebody loves you And wants the same things too Yeah, this is my wish I hope you never look back but You never forget All the ones who love you And the place you left I hope you always forgive And you never regret And you help somebody every Chance you get Oh, you find God's grace in Every mistake And always give more than you take But more than anything, Yeah more than anything CHORUS CHORUS This is my wish I hope you know somebody loves you May all your dreams stay big" blessed" by chrsitina agulara In My Life" by the Beatles its a wonderful world by louis armstrong circle of life by elton john! unchained melody i saw her first by heartland! Hope some of these may help, or get you other ideas. Let us know what you end up picking

for the reception I decided to rent out the local legion ($25) and I am getting a caterer for 70 people the food will cost about $400, I am going to send out postcards as invites for this and instead of sending back an rsvp (wasting more money on stamps) I am getting everyone to call me to rsvp. This way I can tell them it's a pay bar. Since the alcohol is cheap I don't feel so bad (beer 2.50, mix drinks 3, shots 4$) besides the whole fact one of the main reasons the FI finally agreed to go DW was because having a reception in MTL is to expensive. I will buy a few decoration but nothing over the top nothing fancy. No photographer, and the dj will probably be my Ipod lol . I am saying I will not spend anymore then $600 and that includes a small favour. I am so sorry to hear about the lost of your parents. I almost lost my father last winter (doesn't mean anything compared to you sorry) It's very nice that you'll get to walk down with your uncle. I will look up some songs today and see what I can come up with for you.

I think we are all doing a destination wedding to avoid the stress, we were wrong, there is alot of stress with a destination wedding. Every time there is something to do : guest booking, suits for the guys etc... I get stressed out but the good news is that once it's check out on the to do list, everything goes back to normal. I like to plan things and do my own research, so it works out good for me, since my fiance dosen't do much either, I guess it's a guy thing. Details are not important for them. Danielle for your guest booking, that was a big problem for us aswell. I only have 4 family members coming on my side and 25 on my fiance side. My family are saying that they don't have the money either. I really suggest for you guys to get back in your bubble (meaning it is your wedding, you are doing it for you guys) at that point I only asked people to respect my choice of doing a destination wedding, and I will respect they're choice not to come (to avoid any family feud). and then go look at destination wedding's photos to get back in your mood awww thanks soo much for your supportive words, they really helped. I just really have to keep in mind it just about the 2 of us no one else. It's why I said lets to DW. Your right it does feel amazing when you get the check things off the list. When I stress out about something needed to be done I should just go to what I have done list (it's a lot) to keep myself in check and realize it's not that much left and it's almost here!!!! I love it, going to go look at some pics now just to get me in high spirits before bed lol. Thanks again for your to kind!!!

Danielle, I am totally with you right now, it goes into vases of what we are fighting about, one day it'll be the lack of people responding or coming. He doesn't even have a best man. In order for him to go get his suite i had to threaten to cancel the wedding, so then he went, but seriously how many times do i have to say the wedding is called off. I am beginning to think not getting married would be just so much easier. I also wanted to DW to avoid hating each other in the end. I am not sure it's working out this way. Anyone else double thinking the wedding, or just me?! (out of stress and just so tired of planning)

I am almost positive you can go to wal-mart and get them pretty cheap for the travel size (I saw them there for the same size, maybe a few cents more $$) Do you know of a avon dealer? I can try to find you one in our area.

I have my actual "wedding dress" thank god, but still need something I can frolic in the waves and roll in the sand in. Let me know if there are any stores you'd recommend in Toronto or GTA. Thanks! I just went to bridal stores, I actually found one that had some dress's 50% off so I just look through that rack, and it wasn' my fav but it was only $99 so I said what the heck, and I am so happy I did after bring it in from size 12 it looks amazing for $100. this could be an option for you. lots of dress's off the rack.

haha I do not run at all either.. a 5 min run kills me!!! (My work out consist of toning so basically a lot of lunges and crunch's) aww I am sorry to hear your unable to use your machine, but I am sure it'll be all worth it once the basement is done!!! We have stuff going on almost every night. My new job is recruiting for a small biopharma company. I like it but it's a long commute and I just don't feel like i have much time to myself. Oh No.. really you didn't like the bags from Vista print? may I ask why? I just ordered 10 today from there!!!! I have a huge list of items you could choose from it if would make it easier for you. Off the top of my head... I say the #1 best thing every bride on here said was a big hit was the travel mug (I'll just list what i am putting) Spanish for dummies, lip balm with spf (I even order return add labels and put 2 per on the lip balms so it has our name and date, got they labels for free just paid shipping) first aid kit, aspirin, shot glass for men, fans for girls, brochure with all the info of restos, wedding time line, events planned for the week, Guest room #'s , resort map, hand cream and sanitizer, klneex, Aloe. I was thinking of putting a deck of cards, but I think it's enough. I still have to transport it there!!! I am sure after the holiday's not having to worry about Xmas it'll all fall into play, plus we are all here for support! Sounds like an interesting position. the last job I had was far from home, a lot of hours never saw the FI friends or family (turned to be very depressing) so I can relate, but I hated the job, so if you do keep it up I am sure it'll get better when you get a little more use to it.
