Congrats again on the new job, I wish I could be that lucky in finding a job (hasn't been easy at all!!) Great price on the Boudoir session! Looks like we can't get anything cheaper than $400 here, then there's the book, hair & makeup, then an outfit or two - it's sad to say but somewhere between having a baby and 10 years ago my lingerie supply has depleted drastically!!!! lol I do have 1 wicked pair of shoes to wear though...but that's about it!! lol Love your hair too!!! SOooooooo Sooooo nice, You'll look beautiful!!!! Thanks so much for the suggestions, I'm going to re search this skull candy dock, never heard of it, definitely sounds interested. It was a great deal, like you in montreal I couldn't find anyone under the $400mark either, I actually took the idea out of my head for doing one, until found this photographer. Another reason I want to do the sessions, before I have baby. altho I am sure you look great (from your pics you do for sure!!) But I am sure it's not the same. I had to buy all the out fits (like I was saying never worn anything like this before) and I got everything half off and it still came up $100 as I didn't have the shoes, had to buy those as well. Thank you so much, have you decided your hair style? Who's doing their own hair and make up, and who is going to the spa? I've decided to do my own make up, go the spa for the hair. I am also doing TTD session, but will do my own hair that day (who else is doing this session?) Quote: Originally Posted by Melidell Congrats on the new job! Wow, that was super fast- good for you. Sounds like it'll be a better fit, with a wedding coming up less stress is a good thing. I had FI looking at docking stations and he just ordered one last week. I can check and see what he bought, if you like (I don't remember- not really my thing). I think he spent 250 or 280, but he said he got a really good one on sale or something. I thought that was a bit much to spend, personally, but he's been really great about the wedding things I've been buying and I figured this was something he's excited about so why not. He's wanted one of these docking stations for a while anyway- we're going to stick it in our exercise room once the wedding is over plus we'll have it when we travel in the future, too. I love that hair picture! I'd like to do something like that but my hair goes crazy in humidity (it's just wavy usually) so I think I'll play safe and wear it up. I like the flowers worked into it, too, are you planning on doing that? A jeweled barrette or something where it's pulled back in the front would be really pretty, plus you could keep it in even if you take your veil off after the ceremony. yes pleas, that would be amazing, if I could get some suggestion to know what to look out for, as i want the sound to be clear and crisp and loud enough to hear over each other and the waves/winds (since it's right on the beach) Thanks, I do consider my self lucky one it comes down to humidity, as my hair is so flat it does nothing, ever! so it'll be definitely a challange to get it curly/wavy. I might have to consider a Plan B in case they wont be able to come through for me (due to my own hair) if it does work out, I want the flowers exactly like the pic, makes it looks pretty. Aww I like you idea, as I will be taking th vail off at some point, it definitely wont be a whole day night thing. So use the barrette to take hair hair (bangs) to the back with that? I love it, I think i'll just do that, thank you so much!!

OMG!!! had my post, just about to post and it got deleted!!! WTF why does this happen sooo often!!! *sigh* here we go again. Congrates on the job!!!! that's great and bonus, it's closer to home. And I am sure the FI would be more then will to help you out with the OOT bags since time is flying. We are having the semi private dinner at one of the restaurants on the resort. And then having a private beach party with our own private bar tender. The beach will be decorated with teki torch's. So I am in the mist of trying to buy a docking system that will be low of enough, not to $$ and not to heavy for travel. Any suggestions? Suzy, thank you for the comment on my out fits. I hope he likes them. I am sure he will. I am just so bloody nervous. I found a lady in Cornwall (hour away from me) who does these session. She is charging me $75 including the hotel. It's only half hour session, with no photo's just the whole cd. I have a gf who is into graphic designs so I'll get her to touch up some photo's. I figured since I wanted the photo's and I was on a tight budged, this would be perfect. Another $75 for hair and make up. $180 in total to get the pics developed at walmart and an album. All the new coming, Welcome. Glad to have you here with us.You all better be chatty lol! Meghan, I just love your hair pieces!!! Looks like the ones you twist in your hair, will you be doing that? I have a vail, I am not sure if I should just leave it like that, or if I should get something like you have for the front. I've already picked my hair sytle. Maybe I could get your girls advice, leave it with just the vail, or add something to the front?

We too didn't plan much for the guest. We planned a meet and Greet when everyone arrives, and we also planned a rehearsal dinner (We we are calling it that) but it's not really. Just a reason for everyone to have dinner together. ALso give a chance for people to give speech's if they would like. I was going to plan an excursion but then decided not to, allow people to decide whether or not they want to do one on their own, and if there is a lot of people who do, we can do it all together.

lol how ebarrassing!!! yes of course I meant treating lol I am so glad it's the same, it'll be that way for us until I guess we have a baby, which will def change things. We've lived together for over 5 years. oh great advice, have some pics for your wallet!! thanks for the suggestion!!! I have a question for you. When did you walk back down the aisle as a married couple? after the signing papers and cake cutting? Or walking back down and then cake cutting? Thanks so much!

LOL My FI is the same way!!! he wont let me touch anything for the pc if we are working together, I think it's why I said forget it, i'll just do it on my own lol

I wouldn't worry too much about how you look in the lingerie, either, I don't think "hmm that doesn't really push up the boobs" will be the first thing going through his mind when he sees these pics, you know? thank you, your so right, when the FI see these pics the furthest thing from his mind will be how big the girls are, Besides he knows what I got and he is plenty happy with them, guess that's all that matters. Thanks so much for those great ideas for the poses and shoots, I am so writing that down and bring it with me. Thank so much again!! Lets talk legal marriage- are you guys doing it at home or at your destination? If at home, before or after your trip? I went back and forth trying to safe money. So we booked the legal ceremony down there. But then realized how much money I'd safe if I did a legal ceremony here, and the symbolic one down there. But the FI nor my mom wanted it that way, the said they'd feel like they are cheating the guest out of wedding, so we kept it with the legal down there and that's all. We've already translated our paperwork and sent it to the WC, we set to legally get married in DR. Quote: Originally Posted by taratoons Hi ladies! Tracy - your boudoir outfits are perfect, I think! Thank you so much, and welcome to the thread!! He is a huge Habs fan, wont miss a game. LOL he is a good man. Are you and the FI for the Habs? OR Ottawa? We're so close to each other. Kim - As for legal vs. symbolic ceremony, I was soooo set on a legal ceremony, really wanted my guests to witness our "real" wedding, and really wanted our first kiss to be our real first MARRIED kiss. BUT, I've heard from many brides at my resort, and the wedding coordinator, that there is only 1 judge in the DR who covers all weddings in the area, and thus is quite often LATE, and doesn't come until partway through your reception, or the next day. So to pay all that extra money for translation of documents, and the judge fee, to have him not even show up until the middle of reception, thus leaving us with a symbolic ceremony ANYWAY, we decided (after much himming and hawing) to go with a legal ceremony here in Ottawa first. We're getting legally married April Fool's Day, and our DR wedding is April 12. For the legal, I will be wearing a pink/purple dress (NO WHITE!), we are having our parents and 2 witnesses only, not exchanging rings, and doing traditional vows. To me, it's NOT our marriage/wedding, so I want to make it as little like a wedding as possible!Tara I heard the same thing about th judge in DR, but it's not true they have a few judges in Punta Cana. I think there is between 3-5 judges. My WC assured me I'd getting married on the 13th just the time might change but I'd be aware of it days before. I hope it works out. lol I love the idea of APril fools days, great idea, that'd be so much fun!! Aww you'll def have to post pics of your legal ceremony in ottawa, I'd love to see your dress. I would have done the same thing if I was to do the legal ceremony here, no rings, just my parents and his. Sounds so perfect, then you can have your 'real wedding' in dr!! Great idea!! Quote: Originally Posted by echo2_62 Hey Jill welcome to the thread!! Tell us more about how your planning is going! I was probably the one to recommend promopays.ca for the mugs, but ended up ordering from discountmugs.com in the end! There's another thread discussing mugs for us CDN buyers at frustrated-where-find-mugs-canada-54877 which might help you. One of the other girls said that she bought 50mugs I think from discountmugs and her brokerage charges were about $63. I am lucky enough to have a friend in the US who lets me send everything to her and the she passes it along to me For all the places that offer free US shipping, it works out great for me! Hope that helps! I found it to much to have to order a min, which was way to many for me (50, and I needed 23) and then on top of the duty fee it wasn't worth it. Bought the mugs at the dollar store, printed my clip art to label stickers and then use book protector to cover the front side (that made it waterproof) It cost me $1.75 a mug! so if anyone doesn't want to order them from the states there is always this options. We're having our legal ceremony at home as well, but not sure still about doing it before or after. Initially it was going to be after so that we didn't ruin the real wedding feeling in Mexico for ourselves or our guests but after hearing from a couple girls here who had VERY none-wedding-like legal days, we might just have it before hand so that once we have the ceremony in MX then everything will be totally official in all regards. Either way, we're not inviting any friends or family and *might* even have a DOUBLE legal signing day with the lovely SuzyQ76!! We figured that since we're both going the same route and don't want anyone here to know then using each other as witnesses is just about perfect!! Oh except my niece will be coming as well. She's only 7 and isn't coming to MX with us and is really sad about missing out on being a flower girl - so we're going to do a mock wedding certificate for her to sign as well to give her approval Aww that's an amazing idea to have you and Suzy sign together and have each other as witness's. and the flower girl will be adorable. That's cute, you'll have her sign a 'fake paper' I read somewhere on here, they got 'fake' papers but they looked so real, Maybe i can find the thread for you.and you can print those. When will guys have the legal ceremony?

We booked with Itravel, and their age cut off is 65, so we called CAA and Blue Cross and to cover both my parents will be $400 I am not sure, but I think it may be due to my dad already having medical problems. I think if the client of Itrave is 65 and over with health issues they wont cover you. So we are currently looking into seeing if his work will still cover him in April, as he had to retire last year, when he was in a comma for 5 months. Crossing my fingers and hoping he can be covered by his work, if not I will take up your suggestion and call RBC. Thank you so much for that!!

Thanks so much!! if you have any suggestions on what kind of accessories I should buy that'd be amazing, I have no idea what to get, or what would look good I originally wanted a tiara - AND already have one which someone gave me as a joke...but when it came down to it, I like the veil in the back much better. Don't you just love when things happen like that. And now you don't have to worry about buying one. As they can be very $$$ Oh and speaking of chatty - I have over 2000 posts...this site is an obsession! Must have been funny to watch though lol!!!

stupid double post!! Still trying to reply to the last page. I fell behind as BDW stop working for me yesterday!!! I'll get back to the other page real soon. I am also having problem with my dad and being covered for insurance as his 65

$600 something for T.O? OMG nooooo do it with Montreal you'll pay $400! And you don't need to get a notary person to notarize your papers. I called the city hall and they can do it for you. It'll cost less then $20. Call your city hall make sure then can do that. I'd love to see some of the pictures of the flowers. [email protected] Thanks so much!! Thanks nonnie. I guess in the end choosing there is not the end of the world for the flowers. How is married life cheating you and the new husband?

LOL You can check it out in this thread, post 714: http://bestdestinationwedding.com/fo...5/index72.html Let us know how your boudoir shoot goes!! ok great thanks for the info! Really, I could only dream my FI would surf on this site!!! lol your so lucky!!! I love your dress, it's stunning and perfect for the location. Great find!!! You'll look so beautiful in it!!!

LOL!!!!! OMG how ebarrassing again!! see I really never have worn anything like this. That's kind of better that it sticks to me, your righ, bra stoes will be much better to shop at, and they have sales lady who can help me, not so much at walmart. He is a huge hockey fan so I'll just keep with the jersey Thanks so much!!!
-
Thanks guys for the suggestions! I'll go buy those over the weekend I know exactly what your talking about, I think the stick in ones would be best, I'll just stick them to the lingerie bra. I don't have any accessories at all, I actually bought the necklace and it was $10!! so I kinda don't want to buy anything more then I really have to. If you really think I should get another one for the black outfit I guess I could, but like what ? any ideas? I am horribe with fashion lol. LOL Meghan, your to cute! Yup me too the FI as much as he may like lingerie he thinks I am most sexiest when I am in my comfy pj's, no make- up and hair thrown up in a mess. But I only have a half hour session, so either I take out the hockey jersery, and add the cute 'pj's' (which is totally me.. hang out in my pjs all day long lol) or just keep the jersery? what do you think? I totally have a La Senza and Vie au rose, I'll go to walmart first see if I can find them cheaper if not I'll go to La sezna, since I bought a card to get 10% off every item I buy!
-
here we go, pls lady's need all the opinions you got. I add the necklec, does it go? and should I wear it with all the outfits? So I've never worn anything like this before, the sales lady had to show me how to wear it lol (How embarrassing!!) I have a question (another embarrassment) I am very flat chested and I feel like these lingerie aren't doing any justice to that area. Is there anything I can wear to push things up and make it a little fuller? I know a normal bra wouldn't work as you'd see it. So any suggestions would be amazing. I don't have a victoria secret around here, and it's not worth ordering from there with the duty fee's
-
Michele, Aren't the men just so funny when it comes down to our attire!!! Your FI is funny! What are you doing as 'favour' for your guest if not OOT bags?
-
OMG, you look stunning!!!!!!!!!!! pictures turned out so amazing!!!! I just hope my come out half as good as yours. I do plan on having a few shots (wine will take to long) the only problem is, my hair appt is at 9:30am and the session is at 11:30 (the girl doing my hair doesn't want me drinking at her house) so I'll have to have a drink in the middle of my hair and session (10:30-11am) I'll be buzzing (not cool! lol) but it's the only way I know I'll feel comfortable to do it. Like you said especially at the start. I got my outfits all picked out, I'll post a pic for your opinion that would be so amazing!!! thank you for the thread!! I'll be back with pics! (I'll start with my cake topper)

I guess I'll just wait until I get there. Not the biggest deal I guess Thanks so much again tho!! Courtney, The girl I spoke to did send it to Texas. So you can sent it to Montreal or T.O if you feel more comfortable (I know I wouldn't want to send it to the states either) Let me know if you want their info.

babiexoxo Not to bad everything but the shoes and the weight loss you can find at wedding star for reasonable price. Wedding,Wedding Favors - Weddingstar Meghan, I missed that, aren't men cute when the think the can choose a style!!! especially when it comes down to vails.. they know nothing (I know nothing lol) Michele, I found a difference as well with a vail and the dress. I found my dress needed the vial. (FI didn't want one... OH WELL!) LOL yeah, we have a snow plow guy, I couldn't live without him!!! Maybe you could look into making a contract next year and not worry at all about shovelling Ok NOW I am caught up!
-
I haven't been able to sign on until now, I have 3 pages to catch up to you gals. and I am the chatty one! lol I am usally the quite one believe it or not!!!! I guess the wedding has opened me up! lol Michele, I love your vail, and your new SUV, you must feel so much safer in it. Question, it is really hard on gas? I'd love to have somthing like that especially when i have a baby to drive around. It can get real crazy around here with weather. I definitely don't miss the snow, if I look out side I see green!!!! (some snow but not a lot) I am jealous of all you girls who have hardly anything left to do. I have so much and it's all about the OOT bags and my obsession with having to personalized labels on everything. I at least decided my hair style for the wedding. But still a lot to buy and put together. Meghan, I am home all day and I feel I never get anything done, phone is ringing , people are buzzing.. then I have this site!! So good for you girl for getting a lot done yesterday. It'll be my turn today to get a lot of stuff done and out of the way. I go for my boudoir session Wednesday, sooo nervous.. anyone else doing this? Haha My FI said no tiara!! lol I was a tad dispointed but not overly. I guess his allowed his style too lol. and I couldn't choose one so better off Ok I think I caught up!
-
Thanks Michele! I got the FI to tak care of this one , as it was stressing me out to much. Supposely they are aware of their mistake and they are working it out,and they assured me I'd get the room I wanted, but also paid for. Keep ya posted. Hows everyone coming along with the planning? Are you guys ready, or a lot left still to do?

I think it's also an extra 10$ per picture if you want them digitally. Oh wow, and they are in mtl? it's pretty cheap for an hour.. is ther any extra fee to be able to just buy the cd instead? Do you have a pic of your dress, would love to see it!!! where did you get it?
-
Hi Mel, Welcome! love seeing MTL brides!! I was thinking of doing this to safe money (would be cheaper to be legally married and then do a symbolic ceremony in Punta Cana) so I got the info for it. You fill the papers out, and you must make an appointment, the lady said it could take up to 2 months. So do that a.s.a.p if she is right. Other then that I didn't go any further as it was just for info, and we decided we are just doing the legal ceremony down south. Boudoir, I am doing one.. next week actually. my budged was supper tight as I've been off of work, so the lady was so right in my price line. Though she is in cornwall so I'll take the drive down there. $75 for half hour session no pictures included but you get the cd, and that includes the hotel room for your session. If you want her contact info just pm me! Happy Planning!!
