I totally followed you, as I am too in the accounting world. It's interesting how all states and province work differently. Congrats, for Friday! I will probably congratulate you on Friday, sooo exciting!!! How many people know, will be there? We figured, another 6 more weeks to have a marriage certificate was ok with us, since for us it doesn't make any difference. The money I can agree, it cost a lot more. Plus the certificate will be in spanish, so I'll have to translate it, and I am not sure if I have to legalize the translated copy. But when I thought about changing my mind to try and safe so money to get to do 2 weeks down south, it was still going to cost us $300 here at the court house plus $700 for the symbolic wedding down south. We would only saved $300. We just left the plans the way it was, plus it would have taken 2 months here ( I guess a lot of people are getting married that route now and days)

That's a very good reason. Here in Quebec, once you've been living together for a year, your automatically consider 'common law' husband and wife. So I get to have the FI's medical insurance and all, it's exactly like being married. Which I think is stupid in some since, but in my case it worked out, as just 1 medication of mine is $1300 a month. His insurance send's us a cheque with in the following week. I really thought all of Canada had 'common law' I guess I'm wrong lol. I think it'll be real nice for your FI daughter to be able to be a part of something (even more important it'll be your legal day) when exactly do you find out if she can come down south or not again?

Meghan, Yup I truly like your idea, and it'll go some much faster. I'll just get the 2 girls to walk down by them selves and have the best man standing with the FI. It wont take long with just 2 girls. I am so happy to hear your training is going good, and your doing a lot.. so happy you feel more energy from it. I heard it's not about losing the weight,that you really shouldn't be weighting your self anyways, it's about the muscle you make and the fat you burn (not sure if it's right) all that matter's is you feel some results. The ink wont run as long as you cover it with tape, or book protector like I did. Made it 100% water proof. I've been washing them and they are not running or peeling off. Good luck, let me know if any of you need more info

Yes, sorry for repeating my vent about the whole BM, Def didn't mean to take your thunder away for your venting lol That's so cool Meghan and Mel your FI will stand up and say something!!!! I can wait for a report and see what they have to say, especially being they don't like being the center of attention(I wonder if my FI has anything up his sleeve, probably not.. too lazy lol). Getting soo excited regardless of the BM issues, as much as it's frustrating we should try and remember after it's our day and it doesn't matter about the parties (bachelore/ette) doesn't matter who's standing up there. I am glad you got it Nat, I had FI friend over the other day (someone who isn't coming to the wedding) and i was just making them, I showed him one.. and he didn't get it!!! Meghan, I am so sorry to hear about your frustration, I am totally with you on that boat in the middle of no where. First off, I planned my own bachelorette party which has been a big disapoitmet, especially since all I hear from all my guest is ' I can't wait to go down south'as suppose to 'I can't wait for your wedding' I'v planned a lot, I had this whole thing built up in my head about the bachelorette party, like it would be a total suprise like my sister in laws last year. But it's not. The only thing I didn't do was make table reservations. I even had to buy the sash, and tiara and a few games to play!!! Again I feel you with the whole BM issues. When we asked our party to be our party, we were planning an in town wedding, so I asked 4 girls. But then when we realized we were going DW route, I asked a girl (whos always busy anyways) if she'd mind stepping down. she had no probem. so I have my 2 gf's and Mike's sister. Now Mike's sister got married last aug, and 2-3 months before I'd call her every second weekend and ask her if she needed any help, it was always a no but she appreciated my asking. When we all went to N.S for her wedding, I was a huge help (it was my pleasure) I did a lot of decorating the reception hall, eve tho last summer I was still crippled with arthritis. She hasnt asked us even once, if we needed any help. She hasn't called the MOH once to ask her if she needed any help with the planning of the party. NOTHING. (she doesn't even know I planned my own party) I have this thing where 3 girls and 1 guy for the bridal party is going to look odd. (3 girls 1 best man, no groomsmen) She hasn't helped, she didn't pay for her dress. I don't want her standing up there, and making things look even more un equal. So instead of just kicking her out, I thought it'd be nice (why am I so darn nice) to get her to do the reading of the sand ceremony (which is more important then just staying up there and do nothing) but I don't want her wear the BM dress, I want her to wear a different colour. Am I wrong for wanting this? I don't feel wrong. I feel hurt she could ask for her hand in helping with anything. I was trying to be there for you Meghan and instead I vented, so sorry!!
