I love your pic Courtney!!! so adorable and beautiful. We had 4 songs for while the guest were sitting, but I don't think they were played lol. For the rest of the music for the ceremony I put them on seperated cd's so know one would get confused. Worked out great! Really Dawn, our dj just used the cd's and not the Ipod, 1 cd didn't get played.. actually he started repeating the 1st cd, so I went told him there was anothers lol. Still a lot of fun, would do it again in a heartbeat. Anyone planning on going back to the resort?

That's great!! as we only got the ceremony and TTD. We paid another photographer down here for the engagment's. Plus we bought the disposable cameras for our guest to be our photographers at the dinner and beach party (god knows how they turned out lol) will find out tomorrow. Ohh an RN(for the er?!), I love you guys!!!! I have crohn's disease and end up in the hospital a lot. It's you guys who take so very good care of me, and work a lot harder then the doctors do. I know I watch lol. At least (usually) it's quieter on those shifts! lol Mike too!! aren't Mike's just amazing!!!! Talk soon! have a quiet shift!

I'm totally jealous you got the pic of people jumping, I wanted that but we lost light so fast I completely forgot!!! Again just love everything about your wedding, the ceremony was set up beautiful, especially love how you don't see people walking by, or the lounge chairs with ppl tanning in them. That's why I decided to forego the directly on the beach ceremony. love love the ring on the budweiser cap!!! lol Love your TTD too, again so beautiful!!!

Danielle, Can't wait to see your pics!!! :) For the ceremony, we got every song we wanted played when we wanted them as well. But at the party we didn't, I think the only one 2 I really missed and notice was the bouquet toss, because I knew the BM were going to seriously fight over it so i picked Kung Fo Fighting (didn't get it) and our last dance of the night we didn't do, or get.. it was actually our song from we first dated. But again these things I wont remember next year, or even next month. Everything was to perfect, just my husband's looks he gave me was worth any mishaps. Funny cause I was looking for you, and your wedding...didn't think to look at hemmingways

But if you don't care what will be played go for the band. However I didn't see 1 beach party with a band, only DJ. 3)After all the stressing of all the small details, like decor, then got married. I realized I didn't need half of it. Carolina has the sash for the ceremony which is included. I say bring your own cake topper (if you want it to be more personal) I brouht my own centerpiecs, as hers were $60 a piece. But agan a lot of people wont even notice it!! beach party, you really don't need any decor, it's the beach which is the perfect decor anyone could ask for!! Happy to answer any questions, I would have loved that for my wedding. so don't be shy lol!!

msredbird51 Honestly, thats the way to go, you def have the right frame of mind. Good for you.I on the other hand got so caught up on detail, It wasn't even funny. Then I get there and I didn't even care. I on the other hand never ever had a problem with my room getting clean, them maid was actually there when I came back from my hair appt, but she hurryed up and was out of there real quick, actually she came back when the photographer came and took some of her own pics, kinda made me feel special, so did our butler lol The on ly problem I had was getting my fridge re stocked, they actually only came every second day. But we were on the royal side, so we'd just go to the lobby where they have fride stocked with everything and you just grab what you need for the night. They even had another fridge filled with sandwhichs, which were perfect for your sobering up moment before bed time!! Sungoddes, I'm so happy your so excited, how can you not be right!! I'm def excited to see your pictures, they'll be just as amazing. I'm so happy you and the FI enjoy watching the pics, means you guys feel like you made the right decision in doing a DW. FOr the ceremony, the way I saw it was, I'd get married with a little more privacy plus still in a beautiful gazebo, and you still get the ocean as your backround. Then you get all your guest to take pictures at your beach party, plus the photographer will take you on the beach after the ceremony, where you have more of a chance of not getting so many people in the pics. Plus the TTD, I just figured I had enough beach/ocean picture that it didn't matter if I wasn't getting married directly on the beach. When I went down there, I didn't want to hear about the gazebo, just wanted the beach.. but you see the lounge chairs next to your set up, plus your chances of having ppl tanning are high. believe it or not ppl will not move, they want to see it up close and personal. There is no garud to keep people back, which made my decision that much easier. We'll all here for any questions or concern, love to help out fellow brides!!! :) holy cow ,the pics are huge.. I'll have to fix that..sorry guys!!

If you want a DW expect all resorts to have a lot of weddings per day. When I think about the wedding, I only think of amazing memories. And I wouldn't have changed anything even if I knew there would be a few hiccups. I met with Carolina on Sunday 2 days before the wedding, we went through everything I wanted, cake, flowers, dinner, breakfast the next morning. Dj and beach party. Colour of the sash. I told her I had a lot of things i wanted her to set up, she told me to leave our bags at the first desk of our resort and she'd pick it up. So I did, but I was a little late doing so, I left it there Sunday evening. But I found out she only got it 30 mins before our wedding time. because of this I wanted 3 tables and a head table, she didn't have the time for it. But it turned out to be perfect and more intimate. She was so sweet tho, right after our first dance she pulled us aside,with a facial expression of stress, she let me know it was only 1 table. She really went out of her way to let me know and how sorry she was. I said it was just fine, especially after getting married.. anything would have been perfect. We had dinner (menu on each plate, with our names on it) dinner was good, some ppl like it some ppl didn't (me!!!) I suggest not going for the chicken and pasta (it's one mixture) Afterwards we went to the beach party for 3 hours,the bar tender (JR) was amazing and so much fun!!! Our dj was hilarious and truly made the party. Poor courtney got married before me, and we could see the rain come. It did get a little confusing not knowing what to do and where to get married because you need to let Carolina know 2 hours before if you want hemmingways decorated. I'm so happy for us it seriously stopped raining right before she went down. And it was cloudy but not raining for me. The only downer was we had to rush our photo session after the ceremony as we were losing light, real fast. yes I didn't get a flew things back, but thats ok!!! matters most to us, was we are married!!!!! and that everything I really wanted I got back like the cameras I left for people to do scavenger hunt, my flutes, and my cake topper. Oh and my sand ceremony kit.But I made sure to bring most of those things back to my parents room when I went and got changed. The more I write and the more I remember. There really wasn't any hiccups or disappointments. Just perfect!!! You'll all realize that it's not the small details that matter anymore at that point. Just friends family and you two. Please guys don't worry Sungoddes got it right on the nose, we were all happy!!!! and we seriously can't wait to go back, it'll def be Grand Palladium. Now that you all know there can be confusion in getting things back and if they are important that you do, make sure yourself. And Make sure your aware of your package going there (cause I forgot) it's why it was so simple to forget the free gift and chamgane. So if these things are seriously really important to you, just make sure you get it. Clearly it wasn't the biggest issue for us in not getting the few other things, we felt we got wha we paid for!

I have to admit, the resort his so big. My dad having only 1 lung and blood problems in his legs was not able to get around. So I said hey lets get him a wheel chair. Well they charged us $25 a day to rent the thing so for 6 days it came up to $150 which wasn't something we planned for. Plus we gave her 2 carry on luggages for all the wedding stuff, and we only got 1 back. So my mom had no carry on bag to go home. Luckly she had the tote bag I gave everyone! I would have loved a tshirt as well I keep complaining about not having the chamgane, but who am I kidding, we got to our room 'drunk drunk drunk' and def didn't need another sip of alcohol. but the touch would have been nice. a friend got married att he dream palm beach, she had flowers leading up to her jaquzzi on her wedding night, with it filled with water all ready to go!!! for those of you who didn't get breakfest, don't be disappointed the eggs were unateable!! buffet was a better choice! I'm sorry you didn't get exactly what you wanted Daniel, but also glad you don't regret your decision. Happy your kids enjoyed themselves tho!!! I feel that way about Cuba, been there, done that so I know exactly what you mean. Ohhhh Aruba for a honeymoon!!! amazing..we spent an extra week at the royal suites for our honeymoon, which was perfect. Def got treated royal! We will probably return for our anniversary. Or maybe one ofthe Dreams resort. If $$ is not an issue, got to sandals in Negrill Jamaica!!!!! I've gotta run to a doc appt but will catch up this evening! xox

Meghan, how did the music work out for you in the end? Mel, it def feels great having each other to support one another and everyone has the same feelings and understanding. Jodi, How'd everything go with the flights?! My friend was stuck in punta cana for an extra week. really hope it didn't effect you to much and still able to get married. Thank you all for your kind words when I came on here to vent, your all right in the end it really didn't matter who was or wasn't happy, after seeing the husband's face it just all went away. Feels weird to say husband lol. I've got to say tho, there is some people I have no interest in being friends with anymore. I am so happy I did what I did because in the end it does show who is a true friend and who isn't. I'm still trying to get back into normal life mode, but I have no idea where to start, since I don't work and my entire life was wedding for so long. I guess I'll start with laundry lol. I think it'd be amazing if once we're all back we write a small review with links of pics. I know I would love that so much, as I'm having a hard time catching up. And I know I'm leaving people out here, not the greatest feeling. So I hope most of you are up for that.

Aww Isabelle, Looks like we all missed out on a few things from our package. But like you said it was still the perfect day!!! It does go by so fast, and again your so right don't pull a me and be so stressed over little detials, truly the only thing missing is you, ur FI and close fam and friends. Yup 27 of us and tons of cake left over. The will be sure to make it for the amount of your guest. Thanks so much Isabelle, do you have any pics up? BTW everyone there that week, Most of us didn't make it to the meet and greet, We didn't realize how much it takes to host so many guest. I am too so happy the wedding is over and to have my life back, but I've been planning for long, got lost in the whole wedding thing. I have no idea where to begin again. I feel soo lost. I'm sure I just need a couple of days to re group. Well at least I don't feel so alone about not getting a gift or bottle of wine or whatever on the wedding day. Maybe I'll just let it go and not even bother asking her why. Sand ceremony, you wont get it back I gave her 2 bags with wedding things, and only got 1 bag back and was there for an extra week and let her know, she didn't do anything about it!! ah well at least it's just a bag. wow Courtney, that sounds like an amazing package!!! SO many photos!!! Me too I got the dvd with music, and with all the photos I can print myself. Same thing with the TTD. I payed for the entire package (including the TTD) was $935US

Dawn, See, I got the basket of fruit upon arrival. But nothing on the wedding day. We did get breakfest tho. But I was so hung over we couldn't even eat!! The dress steaming isn't part of the package tho. I just finish looking through it. So probably the gift was a bottle of rum? still doesn't make since, cause the package says 'bakset of fruit and rum on arrival in room' then at the end of the list it says 'gift' I will email Carolina, and ask her why we didn't get these things. In hope she is will to do something for our return, which would probably be for our anniversary. Just a little annoying these things were suppose to be given as part of our wedding package. UGH how frustrating!!! Dawn, Congrats btw!! we completely missed each other but hopefully we all decided we want to go for our anniversary at the same resort, and we could meet up again, with less guest to worry about Sungodes, 1) if you booked with HDC, did you get the package? Crystal one? I did. it's for 3 hours and you get an hour with him when you get ready (Well your pretty much ready when he comes, you just pretend to get ready) then he will go fast to get some pics of the groom/groomsmen waiting for you to come (thats what I choice, but you can choose a half hour with you and half hour with the FI when his getting ready) Then you have ceremony, which is only 15 mins, max 20. He will get all those photos. Then you walk back as a married couple,what we did too is have our first dance right after we had a toast as married couple. Then we went onto the beach had a the parents and bridal party. Then we did our alone photos. But we got married at 6 so were losing light. SO he came back to the reception and got the cutting of the cake and 4 group shots. Was plenty enough got 300 pics. 2)Carolina has a guy with a sound system there. So just give her the cds in order of how you want them played. (real easy and simple she'll take care of it) 3)I had the dinner at La Uva (I have no idea where Courtney was) we were suppose to have it on the patio but it was to ready so we had a part of the resto while a few other dinners were on the other end, to be honest I don't even remember them there, there weren't in our eye sigh. No decor,but I brought centerpieces with seashell candle holders and candles. She scattered them around the long table (I wanted 3 tables and a head table ,but she only got my bags full of wedding stuff to late. In the end tho it was perfect just having 1 table) DO NOT PICK THE CHICKEN IN THE PASTA go for the steak or anything else. Mine was horrible. But other then that food was good. 4)cake was amazing, and so tasty, just not up my nose where Mike got it!! I will be uploading the ceremony pictures at one point today, and I'll be sure to send you the link and you'll see everything. yup you pick the flavour, round or square, if you want ribbon, you pick the colour. thats it! 5)we got married at 6, we did the ceremony,toast, pictures, while we did are alone pics guest went to the restaurant to be seated. then after dinner we went directly to the beach party which is right next to LA Uva Which dance are you talking about in-between the ceremony and dinner?! 6)I say go for the beach party $9p/p for the open bar (but it'll just be you and your guest) and I hired the DJ $250 it was the best wedding has ever gone to, and worth every single penny. Welcome back Meghan, We actually just got back yesterday evening... still feeling jet lagged! lol Congrats to everyone who is officailly a MRS!! doesn't it feel great to get it over with!!! I know it does for us. But we are so happy, it's given us an extra spark in our relationship, not that we were lacking.. ah you guys know what I mean! lol I know I wont be able to fully catch up until mid week I especially want to go through everyones pictures.
