  1. Good luck on that KittenHeart! Can't wait to see it! I must say, the anxiety has definitely increased. I also squeal from time to time randomly. My FH is starting to think I am a little nuts!!!
  2. Also.... sent out an email to the guests today with info I thought I would share with you ladies: Before heading out on a trip outside of the US or Canada, I always take 1 Pepto Bismol tablet a day for 2 weeks prior. It helps coat the stomach and tends to prevent stomach upsets from minor inconsistencies in the food. I'm sure AS will be pretty good, but if you go offsite for anything, you can never be sure. Also, try adding a serving a day of yogurt for the two weeks prior too. It increases all the good bacteria in your digestive system and helps keep your belly healthy. My FH & I did this before we went to Cuba and it really helped! xo a
  3. Less than two weeks to go! I am working on the OOT bags right now... they are almost done! The pre wedding brochures all got out this weekend and I managed to get all the thank you cards from the 1st shower out today.... MOB -Mother of the Bride -right? All the table dressing comes with the private banquets, its only when you want to change the colours that they charge more -$30 per table cloth, $15 per table runner, $4 or $5 dollars per napkin etc.
  4. Sounds like fun Ash! I hope he was serious, that would be so great! AmyBermuda... hows the hurricane? Are you going to make it off the island? Katken, thanks for your reasuring review! That's fantastic news! I can't wait to go to Le Chique- that was the restaurant that sold me on AS in the first place -yay! We leave in 15 days!!!!! So much to do!
  5. Thanks for this post Michelle... this will really help as I am in charge of the music!
  6. No worries Amdecker! That means posting our to-do's worked! The dress is done! My stagette was super fun! Labels are on the bubbles! Pre travel brochure is 98% done! Luggage tags are done! Dog sitter confirmed! I'm down to 25 items in 16 days -OMG!

Kittenheart, that is a huge savings on flowers! I know what you mean about extra baggage fees... it seema as if the majority of my guests are going down on the same flight, so I may be sending extra checked baggage with some of them -I'm sure the guys are only bringing one suitcase and can accommodate a second!? I'll brib them with Tequila shots!
  10. Ash, I got the dolphie air freshners at Wal-Mart -and one turtle shped one because I have a girlfriend that adores them- they are hanging AF that are 3D!!! Auto Expressions by Medo. They were only $3.5 ea and I thought the extra dollar was totally worth it cause they are so cute! Katie, I told my FH the same thing, if he looks he'll just end up with a weird pre conceived notion that will be totally off how it will actually look on the day. That seemed to change his mind. Besides he promised me he would not walk into my sewing room to look at it -he thinks he can see it through the window -hee hee It fit in the closet so he's hooped! I really want to try it on... but we have 3 dogs and a cat, and the amount of hair my dress would magically attract is a really good deterrent for leaving it alone! LOL Katie -150 posts bumbs you up to Junior member -you are getting close -Noob! xoxo
  11. Hey Grace, I love your website! Your venue is absolutely stunning! I cannot wait to see you photos when you get home. The German Shepherd is a nice touch too!LOL
  12. Plain white napkins are no charge, same with white table clothes. We are paying the extra $30 per table for the table clothes because I wanted black.... otherwise they would have been included in my package (silver). KittenHeart, my bouquet is more expensive too, but my $50 went towards the two boutinieres -for my FH and his BM. You should check on that. It wasn't a problem for us to do that at all. I'm a bit bummed about the beach too.... we are all ocean dwellers (why we didn't get married in Cabo) I guess water socks/shoes will be the order of the day!
  13. Thanks for the positive reviews for my OOT bag items. i probably over did it -but it was fun! I also forgot to mention the ai rfreshners in the shape of dolphins -tee hee! I thought that was a super cute touch! My dress is finished too! I picked it up today. My FH is threatening to peek though...bad bad fiance.... Are all your grooms like that too?!
  14. As for my OOT bags... I ordered vintage-looking bags from Blue Q that will double as beach bags. I am putting a kissing kit together with listerine strips and chapstick. Then I am putting in a hang over bag with Rolaids, Advil and Emergen C. I am also including a mini Tiger balm, Q-tips, kleenex, bandaids, wet naps, hand lotion, hand sanitizer, playing cards, crossword book, a mini spanish phrase guide that I down-loaded from single-serving.com (thanks to another Brides idea -though I can't remember who), nail file, beach balls, sudoku puzzel books, shot glasses, personalized small bag off coffee and a personalized lemonade. For Favors, we have fans for the chairs at the ceremony, little bottles for blowing bubbles post ceremony, pashminas to hang off the back of the chairs -they are doubling as decor- and little packs of single serving tea for the table. I think I have enough stuff.... lets see if I can actually get it there! I promise to post copious photos when I do my planning thread!!!
  15. Oh Katie! I just saw the photos for your dress... it is absolutely beautiful! It suits your shape perfectly -your FH is gonna love it! Congrats! xo Allisa
  16. Congrats on finding your dress Katie! That is super cool! I think my OOT bags are done as far as what is going in them.... I hope so, the due date is coming up! I got some Emergen-C -thanks for the idea, it will be perfect for the hangover bags! Heading off to my second dress fitting -wee!
  17. Best of luck Bree, Azul Beach sounds lovely.... if we hadn't been expecting kids (which aren't coming in the end) we probably would have chosen that as well! Your wedding will be beautiful and I look forward to seeing the photos in October/november! xo a
  18. emergen-C! God, I could've used that today! Thanks for the reminder, that is definitly going in the OOT bags -mine included! Pole dancing was definitely a blast! Highly recommend it. And it doesn't require a ton of skills -they go easy on you to start. Good arm workout -should have been doing these classes ages ago to prep for the strapless dress!LOL Speaking of which -had my first dress fitting today -wee!
  19. BTW -stagette was last night. SUPER fun! We took pole dancing/lap dancing lessons and then hit the clubs. Head.... hurts... body.... aching.... ready for coffee!
  20. Yeah... that was just their fee. At the time we thought they would be able to produce more hotel options, more off the beaten path, smaller more exclusive yada yada yada... and I have a hearing, um, impairment, I guess you'd say, so talking directly with the wedding coordinators on site could have been an issue for me. I have a hard time on the phone if I can't do a little lip reading and accents make it worse. When we initially looked into TAs around here, it seemed like they would do all the travel, but I would still need to communicate with the onsite WCs for everything, and that was a factor in our decision. Of course, had I found BWD first, things would have been a whole lot different!
  21. Our quote was $2125 for 7 nights all tranfers and taxes included and in Canadian funds. I spoke with my Ta about the price difference and all I got back was "obviously the prices are lower now, they are doing the room sell off because it is last minute flights..." Wow, I sure love my TA/WC at Luxe, they sure give good service for their $2100 fee over and above the hotel... Gee I would sure recomend them in the future -NOT!!!! I think I will try and barter some massages for my guests, that sounds like a great idea!!!
  22. I just realized I have more items than days.... I'm hooped!

Zocollo terrace won't work unless you have 40 peeps. The only places we had as options -there are 13 of us- were the Zavaz Cocktail terrace, the beach (which means dance floor rental), the Yoga Palapa and the private room in the Sierra. I think the Yoga Palapa is too small unless you only have like 5 peeps there if you want a dance floor too. My WC suggested renting the dance floor for that locale. We chose the Zavaz.
