Hi Girls! I'm actually getting married at the Majestic in just 6 weeks!! I was wondering if anyone knew if for the "walk down the aisle" whether the Majestic offers us a CD player or an Ipod dock? Wondering if I should make an old school mix cd of put it on my friend's Ipod. If anyone knows that would be SO great!! Thank you!!

Hi Girls! I have a general question! It cost me 560$ this morning at the Dominican Republic consulate to get my documents translated. Is this normal??! If so, just a heads up for the others that they only accept cash once there so be prepared! i was DEFINETLY not expecting it to be this much, but I guess it's just the shock and awe that it's the first I've heard of this huge expense. Thanks for your help!

Hi Jodi! Congrats on your amazing wedding!! Btw you and your bridesmaids have the most perfect hair and makeup so kudos to you on that!! Would you be able to tell me what was the cost of those amazing Michael Steingard photographs? Did you split his cost with another bride? If so, what does that come out to about? I know his brother Phil is about 2500$ but I have no idea what he substitutes for splitting the cost with another bride. Thanks so much, i hope I'm not asking an inappropriate question : (

Hi brides!! Has anyone heard anything good about Photo Souvenir? I'd be really grateful if anyone has any feedback, good or bad! Does anyone else find the idea of hiring a local photographer a bit scary (because u cant meet them in advance)?? I just dont have the funds to pay the travel costs for a Canadian photgrapher. Oh man, I feel you Jen!! I have a feeling I won't get good news from Sandra once I hear from her about availabilities the last week of April. You think everything is set once you've price compared with every TA in town and triple checked dates with family and friends.... but I guess that's just the beginning! Let's just hope! Hi girls! So I have all the info I need now from my TA to go ahead and deposit for my first 10 guests. Anyone know if I should confirm with the WC (Sandra or Maritee) a wedding date during the week I am reserving at the majestic before I deposit?? I'm afraid I won't hear back for weeks and that I'll have to wait again for new quotes from my TA. I'm SO ready to send out my invites!! I can't wait! Thanks!!

Has anybody been warned by their TA that traveling in late April (transition period b/w seasons) creates the risk that the flight will be rescheduled to the day before or after?
