They haven't been getting back with me either. I have sent two e-mails...tried calling them today and no one answered...not sure what the deal is.

We have him booked for our wedding in October 2010. Just keep in mind that he does bring a "helper" or someone with him. I had e-mailed him on that so I would know how much I needed to set aside for final payment and day passes.

For those of you that are doing OOT bags, what all are you including in them? Just curious for inexpensive ideas! Thanks!

I ran into this same issue at Dreams. We are bringing in our own DJ, too - but they said it was because they had to keep the location private for the extra hour(s) and provide bar service, etc. for our private event. We are planning on approximately 100 guests and the $10 per person per hour seems steep. However, I didn't want it rushed either. We decided to have our dinner/reception/dance from 6-10 and pay for the extra hour...then move it to the onsite nightclub (which doesn't open until 10:30 anyways). It is a personal preference, but I figured it was a once in a lifetime event and I am going to find a way to scrounge up the extra. Totally up to you, though! Good luck!

nsbride2010, I do not know if it is essential that you let them know you want a private dinner - but I went ahead and let Sharron know. That way she could tentatively "reserve" a spot for me based on how many guests we guesstimate we will have. I just figure better safe than sorry...no harm in letting them know. spikes and tiki, we are doing welcome bags for our guests...a little "thank you" for them traveling. Not sure exactly what all will be included (personalized coozies, snacks, travel size aspirin, immodium, etc, bug spray). We are just going to bring them in our luggage. We will probably just have one suitcase dedicated to the OOT bags and make sure it doesn't entail anything breakable...then assemble them when we get down there...a fun little pool-side project with my umbrella drink in hand! Although it may be scary to see what those last OOT bags look like! I believe paying the extra for the extra luggage will be cheaper than shipping...plus, then you have an extra suitcase on hand for your return trip...just in case you need it.

I just received the credit card authorization form and they want it w/a color photo copy of my card and ID scanned and sent back via e-mail. Not sure if this is how everyone is doing it... Quick question...for those of you doing a private event, have you gotten answers on cost for if you want it to last longer than 3 hours? I have heard 10% of the total dinner cost per hour and $10 per person per extra hour.
