What would they use for the boutoniere? Sorry, this is just not my area of expertise. I need all the help I can get!

Hi there, My bridesmaids will have blue (Pool) dresses. I will try and match this color throughout with the decorations. I will also have an accent color of chocolate (or esresso). What kind of flowers should I use for: 1. bouquet 2. men's boutoniere 3. decorations Should I attempt a flower that has blue or do you think a cala lili would be the best option?

We are getting married at Dreams Riviera Cancun. It just opened a little over 1 week ago and so far the reviews have been pretty good. The pictures look beautiful. I have heard good things about the Royal Play Del Carmen and had considered that prior to deciding on Dreams. I believe my main concerns were: 1. It is adults only and I knew I had at least a couple of friends who would bring kids. 2. It was a little more expensive to stay at than Dreams RC While there is a sister resort next to it that is less expensive and allows kids, I thought it would be nice to have everyone at the same resort. Other than that, I think the Royal is a great option. We know of people who got married there and one of the guests said the resort was amazing! I did not look into El Dorado or Secrets.

I'm looking to buy some mini starfish for invitations, raffia fans, programs, etc... Has anyone purchased starfish online for a good price? I'm wondering what size and style would work best. I read that brown starfish are the most popular for wedding invitations, but the sizes listed seemed so small. Has anyone done this yet?

We decided to go with Dreams, right now I am just waiting for a confirmation for my date! Tracy I'm pretty sure I already hit submit on this but I can't find my post, so I'm trying this again. I appologize in advance if this post comes up twice. I was wondering what you discussed with Ana on your visit. Did you talk about decorations and flowers? I'm meeting with Ana in November and am curious if we will be able to make those types of decisions on the spot. Also did you happen to have a list of questions to ask? Any additional info you received from your visit would be so helpful!

I think we are going to do a cocktail hour around the jacuzzi area, and then a dinner, still not sure about a big "reception". I know alot of people don't like the wedding gazebo, but I actaully did, I think it looks really nice and won't need a lot of decorations. Tracy I would really appreciate it if you could email me the photos that you have! Anything would be great! I will send you a private message with my email address.

Where did you decide to have your reception site? How did thr gazebo look in person?

Great suggestions! Thanks you guys! I didn't know if there was a certain etiquette on when the FG wears white (ie, daughter or neice, etc..). We are borrowing one of the BMs daughters...she is adorable. I was thinking I would like to have her in the color blue that the BMs are in (Pool or Robins Egg blue) and wear a chocolate sash.

Thanks. Did you get some dresses that were different materials (ie Chiffon or Satin) or different styles (flowy and casual or more formal)? Just wondering if everything looked as though it belonged and was at the same wedding. -
Does anyone know of a company that offers a 2 hour sunset cruise? I found one that offers only a 4 hour sunset cruise, but I think that might be too long for the guests. Looking for something that will hold about 30 people.

I'm looking for short BM dresses in some shade of blue. Does anyone have any good suggestions? Also, has anyone used the color "pool" in their wedding? Just wondering how that looks. I'm having a difficult time picking a color. I like the blue/chocolate combo...but there are so many shades of blue. -

I looked into all of those photographers that SDBeachGirl just listed except Cecilia Dumas. I have emails with pricing and packages from all of them if anyone is interested. They were all really nice and responded to my emails quickly and I read good reviews also! Hi Laura, Would you mind emailing the price sheets you got from the other photographers? I just want to make sure that the prices that Cecilia has are comparible. I'll send my email address to you in a private message. Thanks,

I am lost here and not sure what to do! I think we will have something, but I am not sure what yet. I will take a look at the various restaurants while on our site visit. I was just planning on doing a rehearsal dinner, but now it sounds like everyone is going to arrive a few days early and I guess it would be nice to have some sort of welcome dinner or event. I also want to look into the option of having a sunset catamaran cruise. Maybe this can be in place of a welcome dinner. Or I may just try to organize that so that everyone pays for their own ticket, versus having that be on us. But we'll see... Basically, I haven't done much planning on this part...as you can see.

I don't think there is an actual "list". Once you find a photographer that you like, I would just run it by Anna to make sure that she is ok with it. Have you started researching photographers yet? Elizabeth Medina - I have heard great things about her but she is a little more pricey. Claudia Rodriquez - She is supposed to be really good, but not available on my date. Moments That Matter - They looked good and got good reviews...not available on my date Dino Gomez - Good reviews...not available on my date Citilli (sp?) - one of Claudia Rodriguez's photogs...good reviews but not available for me. Cecilia Dumas - Good reviews and available...yeah! I plan to meet with her while I am at my site visit in November.
