  1. So I'm wondering, is there an option at the resort to have u're ceremony videotaped?? An AHR is still up in the air, but I would love to have the memory myself and also maybe play it at the AHR if we choose to have one.
  2. Thanks Julie!! I really REALLY want it outside, but I want to be prepared. Can't exactly have a Beach BBQ reception in the rain!
  3. So, I was just wondering...what do you do if on your wedding day it's pouring outside?? Or what are the options?
  4. I really hope it all it all gets worked out easily and quickly for you Sara!! I really want to do the whole thing 'legal' there too. But now I"m getting a little concerned. I really don't want to have to pay for it to be translated etc. I'm going back and forth now. My bestfriend got married there, and she's having a few issues with her name change. The license place wants it translated.
  5. Glad I found this thread. After hearing some issues with the Marriage certificate and getting your name changed, or having to translate it (which can be pricey) I am now thinking of the idea of doing it 'legal' here before we leave. I think it would be totally hush hush too. But this may sound stupid, but I have no clue where we can legally have this done?! I live just a little east of Toronto. Can anyone be of some help?! Thanks!
  6. Oh I'm so sorry Sara to hear about your little problem! That totally sucks and would really upset me, so I am sure you're not a happy camper right now. I was wondering about doing something "legal" before leaving. Not sure how to do that though?! I think we'd do it just the two of us, and let our guests think that our wedding is actually the legal ceremony etc. Not sure, I'm a little worried now about having a mistake like yours, or having issues with having to have it translated, etc.
  7. Oh my, I totally LOVE LOVE LOVE this idea. So cute and personal. Thanks for sharing!!
  8. So anyone that got married at Playa Pesquero have a hard time with their name change once they got home? Anyone get their certificate translated?
  9. Anyone know where I can get it translated? If I run in to problems and have to?!

  11. I put "formal invite to follow" on the 2nd or 3rd page. But I also put it on the "ticket holder" as well.
  12. That's a really cute idea Krishna! I'm not sure where we're distributing the bags yet either. I don't know how much guests 100% yet. Once I know I'll have a better idea of what I want to do. My only fear of giving them out here at home before we leave, is people forgetting to bring them or not even bothering. That's why I really want to give them once we're there!!
  13. Hi Ladies! I was born in Toronto, then at the age of 8 moved to the "Durham Region", in Pickering, then moved in Oshawa when I was 12 and lived there until this April we moved to Whitby.
  14. Thanks so much! I'll definitely be checking that out. I was wondering how I was gonna work the "petals on the beach" idea. Thanks again!
  15. I'lld efinitely have to check out the couple of GT Boutiques near me. Still looking for the actual bags. Not having much luck!!
  16. LOVE it. I too want to walk down the "aisle" on petals. I bought my white petals already. What are you attaching them to though?
  17. Hey ladies, Sorry I haven't responded on this. Been busy the last couple of days. I unfortunately won't be able to make it that night. As I watch my friends little guy 3 days a week until around 7-8ish at nite, so that counts me out. Maybe next time!! Have a blast!
