  1. Congrats and welcome!! There are so many wonderful photographers in the RM area - I'm sure you'll be able to get some info. One of my favorites happens to be Claudia Rodriguez.
  2. Congrats and welcome! Good luck in planning. I'm unfamiliar with both resorts, or I would offer some info.
  3. Hi Angela! Congrats and welcome to the forum. I'm sure this site will give you lots of inspiration for places!
  4. Great review and lovely pictures! Thanks for taking the time to post that for us.
  5. Congrats and welcome to the forum, Erin! I've not been to Dreams Punta Cana, but Dreams Tulum is wonderful. Good luck in your planning!
  6. Congrats and welcome to the forum, Sarah! You'll get plenty of ideas from this site, I'm sure.
  7. Wow, what a great friend! Welcome to the forum - I'm sure you'll find lots of Vegas info. Good luck!
  8. Wow, that's bananas! I wish you luck, but don't overwhelm yourself with someone else's wedding. We are also getting married in Hawaii, but Oahu not Maui. My suggestion would be to set your friend up with a wedding coordinator and travel agent. There are lots of travel agents on this site that I'm sure would be able to help your friend.
  9. Congrats and welcome from... yes, ANOTHER Texas bride! Wow, we're coming out of the woodwork, right? Quote: Originally Posted by Kelitaw Congrats from another TX bride Welcome and Happy Planning! Yay, San Antonio! I wonder if we've met sometime, somewhere!
  10. Hi all! I was just curious as to whether or not any of our members are deaf and if so where they live at. I am not deaf, but am studying to be an ASL interpreter and was hoping to find some multi-regional friends to practice with!
  11. Wow, beautiful pictures! The colors of your bridesmaids dresses are just phenomenal! Gorgeous!
  12. Hi, Jennifer! Yay, another TX bride! Congrats on your engagement and good luck in planning. I've never done the PV thing, but I know that Riviera Maya is pretty cost-effective to travel from TX. We usually go once a year after Christmas time for around $700-750pp. (Not resorts, however - we usually stay elsewhere) I saw some pretty okay deals for RIU Palace Riviera Maya from San Antonio on priceline if you'd like to check that out. Anyway, hope that helps some!
  13. Whoa, awesome! You know, I've actually been to this site, but never saw the shoes. Thanks for sharing!
  14. Hi there! Congrats on your engagement! My fiance and I went through the same thing as you, I think. To be honest, I think the seaweed is something that may happen at any of the resorts depending on the weather, time of year, etc. However, most of them have people who come out in the mornings and comb/clean the beaches to avoid that. Perhaps thinking about having a morning wedding might help. Moon Palace is a gorgeous resort. I'm sure you won't go wrong no matter where you choose. However, if it helps you at all - when we were planning our MX wedding (we ended up not being able to have ours there), we were between RIU Palace and Dreams Tulum. Good luck in planning!
  15. I love Ralph Lauren Romance, but I think I might try something different for THE day - not sure.
  16. Hiya, Kym! Congrats and welcome to the forum. Good luck in planning!
  17. Definitely springing for the Oriental Trading Co. shopping bags for myself, lol
  18. Oh wow, those are gorgeous! I had been looking at weddingpaperdivas also, but somehow missed that one.

I really don't think snacks will be helpful because we'll be on a cruise and there's 24 hour room service included. Hmm, teenagers. Handheld video game type things, ball caps, comic books, water guns, water balloons, those snappy firework things that you throw on the ground (if they let you take those - not sure), water goggles, or team sports shirts.
