Hi there and welcome to the forum! I can relate to the growing guest list - I can never seem to hold one down from one day to the next. Good luck!

We considered doing this as well until my mother reminded me of a wedding she went to where one drunk guest took 20 pictures of his ass and the whole point was useless. Knowing my family - this is most definitely a possibility with some of them, so we opted for a more traditional guestbook. However, I have found that after many years, my polaroid photos have faded or yellowed. Not sure if that's common or just how I've been storing them.

When we were planning a wedding in Mexico, we were going to "do the paperwork" here in TX first only because it seems to make things much easier in the long run. I don't think anyone is going to notice if you don't mention something regarding the ceremony, so I don't think you'll have to trick anyone.
