  1. Hi and welcome to the forum! We, too, are on a $10k budget and found it extremely difficult to make it within that range with that number of guests. We ended up having to trim the guest list in half to make it within budget. Good luck in planning!
  2. I am using dw also, and so far it seems fine. I, too, have a male agent and he had lots of information regarding our destination. He assured me that he would be able to match any price that I find, and negotiated a package for me within 12 hours of asking so. It wasn't the BEST rate, but he did warn me that it may not be what I was looking for due to the fact that it is too far out to package airfare and it is usually less expensive that way. Is this true? I'll have to review this company as we get a bit closer to our date, but I'm hopeful!
  3. Congrats and welcome to the forum! Good luck in planning! Wish I could help with resort info, but I'm not familiar with that one.
  4. Beautiful, beautiful pictures! And I just have to say that your bouquet is absolutely gorgeous! I may take this to my florist for inspiration - I hope you don't mind.
  5. Yay! I can't wait for that day because it means that YES, you are DEFINITELY on your way!! So excited for you! Hell, I'll have a shot for ya! I'll have two.
  6. The Boudoir photographer I am looking at charges $300 for the session with $150 of that as credit to prints. I'm choosing not to get the book, but it is $500 to order.
  7. I'm so sorry to hear about your accident! I hope that you are feeling better soon. It's okay to feel sorry for yourself sometimes, and this definitely qualifies. Take care!
  8. Oh wow, that's awful! I agree, though, that it's best for them to find out now that things were not destined to be.

People at the wedding would for sure do that as both of our families and friends can definately get out of hand....especially with an open bar. There is a new poloroid out that looks like a digital camera but somehow prints out of it. and its inkless Im not sure how that works. I secretly think that my mom's "memory" of the alleged incident may have been a collaborative effort. She gets a little crazy if she's been in the sauce...

I'm getting my BMs something like this: Tiffany & Co. | Item | Palm Tree pendant. Diamonds, platinum. | United States Not that one, of course, though I'd love to have $2.8k to blow on a friend. I was wondering if that was too informal to wear myself or just tacky. I dunno. I suppose I'll have to wait until I get my dress to decide.
  11. Congrats and welcome! Not to be a downer, but the situation in Hawaii won't be much better as far as people-watching goes. Public beaches mean even MORE people, so I think if you're planning on having a beach destination wedding, you're going to run into this at some point. That said, I totally approve of Oahu! *wink, wink*
  12. First of all, that is just gorgeous! Secondly, I would order enough for one person at least. Cupcakes seem to go faster than cake in my experience with wedding cakes (which isn't extensive, btw - just a few of my friends' weddings!).
  13. Okay, so I'm looking for the perfect wedding ring, and seem to be having a really hard time doing so. I thought I might ask you ladies if you had some suggestions. I was kind of hoping for a tiny bit of bling to offset the simplicity of the ring itself, but I am not really a blingy person. I know this picture is craptastic in quality, but it's the best I could do with my webcam. If it's too hard to tell, it's a .5 brilliant cut center stone with a baguette diamond on each side. White Gold!
  14. Congrats and welcome to the forum! I've seen a few people join this afternoon who are looking at Cuba as well. Perhaps you guys can share info!
  15. Congrats and welcome to the forum, Carrie! Your member name is awesome, lol. Wish I could help with the resorts, but don't have info on either. Good luck!
  16. Hi there! Congrats and welcome.
  17. Congrats and welcome. I wish I could be of some help, but unfortunately I don't know much about traveling from Canada. There are plenty of people that will be able to help, though, I'm sure! Good luck and happy planning!

Yeah, I can see where that might be an issue. I'll have to think on this one!
  19. Congrats and welcome! We were engaged in May also, but have just recently gotten serious about planning.
