  2. Congrats and welcome! Sounds like a great idea - a cruise AND a beach wedding. Good luck with the planning!
  3. Thanks for the post tammy! I completely agree, your weddings should reflect you and your FI with your audience in mind. Make sure to post pics of your invitations once they're done, ladies!! It's a huge accomplishment and who deserves more credit than you for all your hard labor - plus us girls love to see those pics!
  4. Love the shoes, they are absolutely adorable! Bet they make those legs look great ; )
  5. To all you ladies who are trying to quit smoking: keep pushing. It obviously won't be easy, but take one breath at a time and remember the 6-7 years that you will add back to your life - for your FI/husband, for your children now and in the future and for all other loved ones!! Glad to know that, once again, there's a huge support system among the BDW girls out there : ) Keep it up ladies!
  6. That's a great idea, they look fantastic! Hope your guests are as excited about them as us BDW girls are!
  7. I think they are very cute!! Great idea, i love starfish and am using a similar theme in my weddding too!
  8. That's a fantastic idea! They'll look adorable : ) I've seen them before and thought about using them for our wedding as well. I love the idea of filling them with coconut-flavored candy!!
  9. Your pictures are absolutely beautiful! I love your gorgeous dress : ) Make sure to post a few of the pro pics when you have them!!
  10. Congrats on your engagement! Sounds like you will definitely have ample time to plan out your dream wedding for 2011. Good luck : )
  11. Congrats and welcome! There's tons of good info here, good luck!!
  12. Congrats and welcome! Try to take it all in and don't get too overwhelmed. Everything will fall into place, it just takes time, patience and good BDW girls to help you along the way! Way to already have your location figured out, that's a big decision out of the way!
  13. Ours will be a bit more relaxed. We are not planning on doing any big traditions like walking in after everyone arrives, since we are doing most of those at the actual wedding in Mexico. We will be playing the video for everyone though! I would say that it really depends on what type of AHR you are hosting. If it's a backyard BBQ, then I don't think a grand entrance is necessary, but if you are wearing your dress again and your hubby is wearing a tux and you'll be having most of the wedding traditions done at the AHR, then I would say it fits with the setting, so go for it!! It's all up to you.
  14. Congrats on the engagement! Good luck with the planning - this site will surely be a source of good information for you. Cabo is a great location for a destination wedding!!
  15. those skills will definitely come in handy again - can't wait to see what the actual invitations look like!!
  16. Your site is adorable, I also love the "what not to wear" part! I'd put your story up of either how you met, or the proposal, or both. Otherwise, great work : )
  17. I've never seen anything like that before, thanks so much for posting, I absolutely love that idea!!
  18. looking forward to them : destination wedding!
  19. I was definitely guilty of that as well and had no idea, so hopefully I didn't offend anyone!! It will take a while to build that many points, but I'm starting to get the hang of it! Thanks for the link Jen
  20. I'm sorry to hear about all the extra stress! Would you be able to move your date up to help accomodate them closing their doors for the season? Good luck, keep us posted!
  21. Your dress is absolutely timeless, great find!! I just hope that I can get that lucky!!
  22. I like #1 because of the color and the background, but I also like #2 because it reminds me of the beach! Have you printed both off to see which one looks better? I find that when you print anything off with multiple colors and fonts, it always looks different on paper.
  23. Good luck! If your interview goes well, let us know if/when you'll be on TV so we can watch!!
  24. I would say that you have to go with what your heart tells you. Your family is obviously very important, and if you want them to be part of the celebration, have a backyard BBQ with friends and family after you get home. If you wanted to spend the money, you could have a semi-formal wedding reception and wear your dress again. We have decided that we are inviting family and close friends - a total of 60 guests or so. We have little hope that everyone can make it, but I have promised myself not to feel guilty or sad about those who wont be able to celebrate with us. We are renting out a park pavilion for a night about 1 month afterward to celebrate with all of those who weren't able to make it. It's a cheap way to host a celebration and still include everyone closest to you. Good luck in making your decision!!
