  1. I'm getting married in the Rivieria Maya, but I know there are quite a few Jamaica brides out there! Welcome and good luck planning : )
  2. Sorry to hear about all the stress!! I can't believe that there are truly only 5 rooms. There has to be a mistake somehow! Is there a way for you to find out from you TA exactly who has and hasn't booked? As for bridesmaids, it's there loss if they don't help pick a style that is well suited for them. They're the ones who are going to have to wear it!!!
  3. Steph - I am not going to try to say I know how you feel, but what I can tell by your posts here is that you and your ex have a relationship that still holds your children as the number one priority. You have mutual respect for each others thoughts and feelings. I think that's something incredible that many couples who split don't have. I'm sorry for your pain and suffering and hope things look up for you!
  4. Sorry to hear about the difficulties! I agree with all the other gals - stand your ground, this is your chance to have the wedding of your dreams. You have a long road ahead, so make sure to set the right tone now and provide everyone your expectations!! Good luck : ) We're all rooting for you!

  9. Thanks for such a thorough review! Your pics were gorgeous and it sounds like you guys had a fantastic time! I'm sorry to hear about Air Jamaica, but I suppose that's the reason you take your TA's advice! Happy to hear the flowers worked out in your favor! Thanks for sharing!!
  10. I love this idea, and i love that you can paint them yourself (or buy the colored ones)!! Thanks for sharing. I think if you really wanted to, you could only provide one per guest, otherwise it would get a little more expense i guess....i was thinking about having them shake the maraca's to have the bride and groom kiss instead of using their silverware on their glasses.
  11. I'm getting married the first weekend in June, and I was a bit concerned about that as well. We are having a 5pm ceremony and I'm hoping it will have cooled off by then. LadyTrunck - Are you taking pictures before the ceremony?

    Hello!!!

Congrats on the engagement!! Your wedding is coming up so soon, hopefully this forum will be a big help for you. Jamaica is a great choice - there's tons of info here for you!!
  19. Donating the dress is a very good idea! I may hold on to it for a while....i have a feeling it'll be very hard to part with it ; ) Some girls are doing a TTD session in the same dress the day afterward.
  20. Oh my goodness, your pictures are absolutely amazing! You look stunning, I love your dress. What a beautiful church! Congratulations on pulling off such a stunning wedding in France!
  21. I think they are absolutely worth it. We have nothing to put up on the website either, but I found something for now. We're getting them done by our photographer down in Mexico in January. It'll allow us to work out the kinks like other brides have said, and get comfortable with our photographer. They were extra for us, but totally worth it to me! I had to bribe my FI a bit too, but it worked out in the end!
