I also got a quote directly from tai flora. I am sending them a deposit this week. Final payment a month before the wedding. This way the quote is what a pay and I have one less thing to pay for at the resort. I am not crazy about waiting to pay for things until the last minute.

I am thinking of Welcome meet and greet on my guests arrival date (thursday) at the infinity bar and then a rehearsal type dinner at the beach BBQ the friday before our saturday wedding for the immediate family and wedding party. On sunday I was thinking of maybe some beach volleyball game or scavenger hunt.

  6. I would not worry. I have had many people tell me they are planning to book after the holidays. I am sure it will be the same for you.
  7. My shop will keep it until the wedding date and will steam it twice for you for free.
  8. I really like the wand idea!!! I think I feel a DIY project in my future.

It has yellow roses, green cymbidiums orange roses, mango calla lilies, few white calla lilies wrapped white ribbon and pearl pins. Now I got my quotes directly from Tai Flora. Afterwords, I shared my quotes with the WC at the resort and asked what the upgrade cost would be. Hope this helps.

That sounds like a lot of $$ to me but maybe I'm just naive? I sent Tai flora a pic of the bouquet I wanted. They quoted me $135. I then asked the resort what the upgraded cost would be to replace the provided flowers with the quoted flowers. It turned out to be $87 my cost. I guess it depends on the flowers you want. I would love to see a pic of the flowers you were quoted $385 for!! FYI: I also got a quote for the same bouquet from Floral Fantasies for $180.

I really do like this resort, but I want real photos. Thanks! My understanding is that if they are a guest at your wedding then they can do whatever they want. Either buy them a day pass or reserve them a room at the resort. It sounds to be a pretty easy way around the policy. I just would not mention they were a local photogragher. I would simply tell the wc that the resort photogragher is not needed. This has been done many times without a problem.
  12. Congrats to you both!! Everything looked beautiful. Diana was my initial choice for my photographer, but my plans have changed. She is a wonderful lady and did a wonderful job for you.

Diana has been used by other brides on this forum and they have been very happy with her work. On a personal note, Diana has been extremely helpful with everything, from the sand ceremony to the TTD session site, to recommended excursion. It helps to have someone familiar with the area to assist with picking locations. We will be going to Negril (the cliffs) and to Mayfield Falls for the TTD session. Diana has become more than just our photographer she has become a friend and a very helpful advisor/wedding planner. Diana has kept contact through email and by phone, she has been supportive when needed and provided me with the assurance required when using a photographer off the internet. I look forward to meeting her in person in just 7 days to work out the final details. If anyone has any questions please feel free to pm me. I will post our pictures as soon as we get home December 5 or 6th. Happy planning everyone Dea Can't wait to see your pics!! I am also getting married at the Grand Palladium and using Diana Campbell for my photographer. Been checking everyday since December 6 for your review. I hope everything went well.
  14. I asked the previous WC about a beach reception. She said they do not offer any receptions on the beach!
  15. Good for you!!! We are honeymooning there after our wedding at the Grand Palladium. We booked the cove cottage. Exciting Times!!
