  1. Hi all

Well my wedding is coming up Feb 18th, still not sorted! Need to get dress fittings, favors, final numbers table plans etc!!!

I've sent an email to the hotel asking about what kind of things we can hire for table decorations ie candles, lights... Im traveling from England, and have a tight luggage allowance, so cant really carry much stuff over. I'm happy to buy things once I get there is need be.

Just feeling a little stressed now. Worried about having the correct paper work for my legal wedding (think I only really need birth cert. the other stuff I get there). REALLY worried that people will be bored. I keep jumping between having a DJ vs Ipod. There's only 30 guests, so feel like having a DJ is a waste and that it would be better just to use the hotel disco...AGGHHHH !!!

Hope everyone else is doing well.x

Just to let you all know that it appears Demitrio no longer works for the hotel, I have been contacted by a lady called Myriam Vater regarding reception arrangements.

    Her email is [email protected]

She had litterally left it until this week to contact me for my requirements so for those of you with a long way to go til your big day dont worry to much about lack of contact as they will eventually.

Anyway I will tell you all about it when I return!

    Bye :-)

    Sally
    Have an AMAZING day!!!
Hope it is everything you hoped for and a lot more.x
  3. Hey everyone

Hope all the planning is going well. Im really not much further forward, hence the lack of posts.

Getting married Feb 18th, 22 people are booked, still waiting for about 20 more.

Get married at 4.30pm, then having Moments that Matter photographers to do our pictures. Was thinking about just sending people to the P.C.O.B whilst getting our pics done. Then looking to have the buffet there. I was really stuck about what to do for entertainment. Was thinking about hiring a band or something just for an hour or so during the photo time.

Not too sure what to do about music during the meal. What do you think?

Was just going to have my i-pod and hire the speakers and mic for speeches. Then once we have all had food, and some drinks take the party to the hotel disco.

Not doing a first dance, or cutting of the cake. So don't think we really need a DJ to sort music and introductions.

Do you think that sounds ok?

Are any of you going to do the TTD shoot? I'm really thinking about it! I think it would be fun!!!

    Hey Erica

Yeah Im doing the TTD shoot the following day. Looks great fun! Shame they are already booked. Sure the other photographer will be great.
  5. Hey! The lanterns are great. I'm using them for my wedding. I checked with the airlines and you can take them on the plane as they do not have liquid in them. You have to take them in your hold, not hand luggage. This info is from the website Im getting mine:

(I do not agree that they are safe for children)

WISH LANTERNS are fully biodegradable, non-flammable and safe and easy to use, and create an amazing visual effect that adds enjoyment and wonder to any special occasion.

All you have to do is light the fuel cell and gaze as the Wish Lantern floats up to the skies. Using the power of fire, the WISH LANTERN will be in the air for about 12 minutes and go up over a mile in the air.

WISH LANTERNS stand 108cm tall and 66cm wide at its widest point. After release and flight, the Wish Lantern will self-extinguish and float gently to the ground.

    You can get smaller ones.

We won't go overboard on them just a few small items to let our guests know we are thinking of them and thanking them for joining us! We'll see, I just started planning so I could get overwhelmed and lazy... hee-hee!

I think its also nice to have a little something from the country you're living in. Im in Korea, and was thinking about taking some stuff from here. You should take advantage of the cheapness that is china!

I change my mind like you wouldn't believe so I could end up with the mother of all OOT bags yet.

Did you chose a photographer yet? Im thinking about going with Moments that Matter.
  7. I really hope that people cant get in!

Not planning on doing OOT bags. Its a lovely idea, but I know what my lot are like, they will have everything that they need. Plus I dont want to carry them. Lazy? Yes I am.

Only things I'm taking are my dress, BM dresses, favors and lanterns. Will buy some mexican style bits when I get there for the tables: maracas, tequlia and shot glasses maybe.

    Keeping it simple.

    Hi Erica

Yeah it is early, but we are making it a big family holiday with a wedding thrown in, so going to be there for 2 weeks. What to have a legal wedding so need to be there 5 days anyway. Sure the weather is going to be perfect.

Well I'll be there for any last minute help!

I know Elena is out for a few months so they are trying their best cover her work. The woman that has been helping is, Cora. She does take a few days to get back to you but she will eventually answer your questions. It's hard to relax once you get the date reserved I understand completely! Just stay positive and be persistent in getting all your questions answered.

    GOOD LUCK!

I'll be arriving at the CAT on the 7th, so I'll get to meet you before you get married!

    Hi

No, I haven't got anything direct from them. Have a look back through these posts though as all the prices for food/DJ and room are here. Im just not sure if you pay extra for drinks during the reception. Know they are 9USD if you want drinks on the beach after the ceremony, hope this is different for the evening reception!
Im going to contact them back in October for details. Doing nothing until then.
