  1. I am doing a boudoir shoot and some new cologne. There is a new one called "The One," I think by D & G. I think that would be perfect!
  2. Sorry about your sister. I hope you are able to sell everything!
  3. I agree. Not only that, but if you are just having a cocktail reception, like me, then it becomes even more of a waste! I do like that butterfly motif, but the way they have it done is almost overkill. I plan to go with the basic package, and bring some of my own accents. Also, yesterday I got an e-mail response from my WC, telling me some upgrades to the basic package would be available come November. So I am waiting on that. It's just kind of a bummer since my wedding is coming up soon and I'd like to know what I still need to buy!
  4. Hi ladies - Can't believe I just found this thead NOW!!!! Time is definitely getting away from us! These are the things I have done: Dress - Just came in but I have to go try it on FIs suit - Purchased but needs to be tailored. Ceremony - We put together a draft, but might need to tweak it a bit. MOH/BM Outfits - Ready to go! Still need to do: OOT bags - I have been going back and forth on whether or not to do these. Order decor for wedding - We are just having a cocktail reception, but I am trying to decide what decor to purchase for this. Pre-travel brochure/letter - I want to create something to send to all of our guests ahead of time. Plan an off-site gathering for guests. I feel like I am missing a LOT!
  5. I am having one...actually two, one on each side! We invited everyone to our DW just as if we were having a wedding at home, so I guess I really didn't think twice about it. We are also still considering an AHR, so all of those people would also be invited to that. I can see how it might be different though if you only invited a small group to the actual wedding.
  6. Congrats! I am getting married on Jan. 9. It's so close! Welcome to the forum!!
  7. I am interested to see what a la carte items there are. I didn't see any of this in the updated wedding package info. my TA sent me. Also I see in the article there is mention of a candy bar?!?! I want that!!!

    Hello!

Hi and welcome! This site is the best!
  9. Hopefully this thread gives me some motivation....I am probably the only bride who gets lazy right before her wedding!

    New to BDW

Congratulations! This forum is so helpful. You will love it here!
  11. That is amazing! I just love Vistaprint, too. It is so reasonable. We have been looking into doing something like this.
  12. I am e-mailing the WC to see if I can get anything out of those Martha Stewart packages a la carte, just in case. The WC I had is now on maternity leave until after the wedding (!!!) so now I have a new one. I'll let you know what I find, prices, etc.

    hello!

Hi!!! Congratulations! This forum is great.
  14. I agree with everyone else! I would tell her you would love to have her there, but no ultimatums will be tolerated. I just don't understand it. I have also had some issues with my family as a result of my wedding, and I can't believe how dramatic it can get sometimes. I guess I didn't really believe that weddings can bring out the worst in people, but it seems to be true. I just keep remembering what everyone tells me - and that is, this day is about you and your wedding, and that is all that matters. I know it is so hard, because family sure does know how to get to you....but that is what we need to focus on!
  15. Yes, we definitely want to an excursion of some type...and after we are at Beaches, we will be going to Couples San Souci for 3 nights by ourselves, so we will also get a different experience there. I have been trying to think of an excursion to do. Margaritaville might be the ticket. We went to another friend's wedding a couple years back and did Dunn's River then. I would love to do the dolphin thing but it might be a little too steep for everyone we have coming. Too bad!
  16. Turks and Caicos definitely sounds more exotic! I am guessing it is more expensive, right? And yes, we have around 35 booked right now so I am sure I would never actually switch. People would think I was a complete bridezilla. michelle6114, I am so glad you had such an awesome experience there. I just had a few complain they felt the resort was too family oriented, so I started to get worried people weren't going to have a good time or something.
  17. Well that answers my question...because I was wondering if any of those Martha Stewart items could be purchased a la carte. I like the first pink package, but I almost think the pink is over the top. I was hoping to maybe get one or two of the items. The basic package is just white, but with the magenta on the cake and a few other places. You could always ask them to remove the magenta accents and bring your own instead.
  18. I did check on one of the dates threads and I saw how many there were....must be a great place! I am sure Beaches will be wonderful...you know how it is though, when you start thinking of other options. It would be way too late to change anything now anyway I guess!
  19. I have thought a lot about this since my wedding is right in the beginning on January. I think just getting a lot of sleep, exercise, and eating healthy is key, along with extra measures like vitamins, Purell, etc. I really think the biggest key is SLEEP, though. That always works wonders for me.
