Calling all November 2009 Brides!

I was thrilled at the rate we got on our air travel, it's $250.00 per person round trip. I thought that was pretty good. -

I do know what you mean, however in our case we're paying for almost everybody's plane tickets and hotel. The only two we're not paying for thus far are one of my FI brother's girlfriend and his other brother's two young children. Basically we are paying for everybody in the immediate family, short of the two children. We are sending out a few more invites for extended family and a few friends but the reason we did the RSVP date so soon is because we're booking our plane tickets in a group rating and getting a great deal. Since we've already got 16 people going we're paying a lower rate, if we get over 25 (i think , can't remember the exact #) then we'll get even more of a discount. Our travel agent has to have a final number to complete our bookings by mid July so that's where I came up with my date. I do agree it's kind of short notice, I really wish I'd got my invites out sooner. -

I have a major concern with this as well, I look much better with my hair down versus being up. So I'll have my hair down for sure, hopefully the wind won't be to bad. :|

Also, if you do find out you can split an order start a new thread about it. Many people will skip over this thread if they've already read it. you might have better luck with a new thread! Good luck! After I saw the email I replied back asking about splitting the order with another person, and having two different monograms and he said it wasn't a problem at all. -

The woman at first said the same, explaining I couldn't use the coupon because it was considered electronics. I told her "a friend" did it online and it worked without a problem. I really didn't know that it had, just assumed it had worked for others based upon this thread. She went ahead and applied the 20% off. But my friend who ordered hers online after I purchased mine had the same thing happen, it wouldn't let her use the coupon code online. She ordered it anyway and was going to call this morning and get the additional amount deducted. I'm not sure if they did it or not for her, I haven't spoke to her today.

Wedding in 5 months, only 5 booked so far!!!???
whitni replied to michelle6114's topic in Just venting or funnies
It's so difficult to wait for the responses, but I can understand where you're coming from. You'd expect family to be the first to get booked, then friends to be iffy. We decided to get married in Florida because so many were hesitant when we mentioned possibly going to Mexico, silly I know but they were. So we figured we'd just go ahead and do it in the states. What I found funny is that none of them would really come out and say they were uncomfortable with Mexico but it was obvious by their reactions that they weren't comfortable with going there. Personally I love Mexico and have been there several times, but I guess with the swine flu, etc they're worried about traveling down there so maybe they're having the same reservations about going and just not telling you? -

Gosh I guess I'm way off on invites, I thought I'd read somewhere that if you're doing a destination wedding to send invites 6 months out? So I thought I was late sending mine out, after reading your responses I feel much better. I'm sending out my invites the end of the month and giving them until July 1st to reply, only because I'm sure if I make it later half of them will forget/put it off and never rsvp at all. I'm starting to think I should wait and send them out mid June and ask for rsvp by July 15th? Do y'all think I'm sending them to soon?? -
I love my personalized favors!!

I sent them an email before I saw this thread with the prices and mininums, based upon his reply my understanding is that if you order more than 45 pairs then the price of shipping is included but if you order 15-45 their minimum then the shipping runs about $65-75 to the US. If somebody is interested in splitting an order I'd be up for it..I don't need 45 pairs. With shipping if I only purchased 15 I'd spend about the same amount as I would if I were to split an order of 45 somebody. Here's what he sent me for prices: FOR WEDDINGS IN NORTH AMERICA: CANADA, USA, HAWAII, PUERTO RICO. Flipflops for wedding guests ( includes shipping to USA ,CANADA, HAWAII & PUERTO RICO) SIZES: The sizing works like this: Women Small (5-6) Medium (7-8 ) Large (9-10) Men Small (8-9) Medium (10-11) Large (12-13) Also you can order by the number like this: 10 pairs (size 8 ) 5 pairs (size 9) and so on.... Personalized design , feel free to send us your design. Order of 45 pairs or more ( includes shipping ) US $5.95 pair Women sizes (from US 4 to US 10) US $6.45 pair Men sizes (from US 8 to US 13) One color print Tax free. Order of 15 to 44 pairs (shipping costs apply from US $ 65 to $ 75 for all your order) US $5.95 pair Women sizes (from US 4 to US 10) US $6.45 pair Men sizes (from US 8 to US 13) One color print Tax free. -

I called a friend to let her know about it too, she tried purchasing it online and it wouldn't take the extra coupon code she had to call and purchase it by phone as well. I'm seriously considering buying myself one too, I've just been spending so much on the wedding I'm not sure I can justify spending the extra money right on it.

UPDATE: I just called and ordered it for my mom, after the discounts were applied and shipping/tax was included I only ended up paying $247.00!!! If you call to order it by phone they won't let you use the promo code for your macy's card, but if you tell them "your friend" did it online then they'll be able to do it as well. That's what I did and it worked for me. Thank you so much for sharing this!!

Thanks to Rebecca's advice I decided I'm going to order from discountmugs.com instead from ebay. I think instead of the travel mug I'm going to get personalized water bottles. I really like this water bottle (specifically the color), but it seems like the lid would be a pain to constantly unscrew. I started to buy one at Whole foods but didn't because of the lid, it seemed like it was not as easily screwed off as a plastic water/coke bottle. Has anybody put the water bottles in their OOT bags, how did they go over? Does anybody already have this type of water bottle with screw top lid, do you like it?

It's a solution..not sure if you would want to go that route, but I'm thinking on it. Because of a review I read on discountmugs.com I wasn't going to consider them however after speaking with two people who ordered from them I've decided to go ahead and go order from them. They're prices are not only very reasonable but they'll take orders in small quantities! Thought I'd share this info with you ladies!

I'm passing this along to my mom, she's been wanting to get a dyson for a while now but didn't want to spend $500.00 for one! Thanks for sharing!
