FutureMsMoulton -- Have you been to the Moon Palace? I see your wearing a robe from there in your pic...but just wanted to be sure.. Are you using there photographer? I am having my wedding at the sister resort..Aventura Spa...been there many times..and love it.. Still not sure if I want to do a private reception or just have it at one of the many restaurants... they told me I could decide up to three days before... are you bringing your flowers are are you getting one of the packages? curious :-)

Hello again Ladies... What kind of centerpieces are you bringing? I was thinking a glass bowl with sand and seashells with a candle in the middle... any other ideas? vdaybride your a night owl like me.. and I dont think your being selfish it is YOUR day! I think your cousin should wait either before you have your wedding or after you have your wedding...not at your wedding at all.. I could see if you were having a family/friends dinner... and he wanted to pop it while everyone is there...but not on your special day...that is so not nice!

What kind of decorations is everyone bringing? I know some of you are bringing your real touch flowers..and I thought of it..and I might just order one bouquet for me.. I would like to keep my own flowers.. but what else? besides the OOT bags... which I started finally..im still lost obviously..

Good Afternoon Ladies, Thank you for all your help... Here is another question for you. (Mexico brides) I read somewhere with all the stuff you are bringing that you need a receipt to show in the airport to customs in case they stop you. I am not sure how many of you have been to your actual resorts yet. I have been to Aventura Spa about 5 times which is why we choose the place. It's our spot. Anyways, when you get to the stop light if you hit it on red they pull you over and I have seen people stopped and searched and they turn your luggage upside down.. and I am thinking of you dont have proof of purchase etc... they might take your items away... Do you ladies know anything about this? Just a thought.. bit fuzzy today I just woke up! Kim ;-)

Ladies! Thank you so much for the encouragement!! I started my list today! I am working on the invitations...we had a caricature of us drawn up with a background of the Mayan Ruins in a gazebo at sunset...I just have to add some words and Poof I will mail them out tomorrow!! I have a few things on my list, like shoes, jewlery, my FI's suit or a casual shirt with nice khakis, makeup, OOT Bags, and Favors...we are doing M&Ms with our names on them and Green Apple Candles with a little leaf tag that has our names and a date... (I love apple martinis) ... Hmm if you can think of anything else I am missing let me know...oh and Susie...you are NOT old I am fabbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbulously 42 :-) I still have these bleep bleeping people asking me to look up flights...I am ignoring them... let them do it on there own..or they wont be coming..my best friend... cant even do this herself.. and when I do find her flights and hotels.. that are cheaper...she finds something wrong with them! so UGH!! I told my FI last night I dont give a rats if nobody shows up!!! Its always about me and him... so, what difference does it make now! They are driving me to drink!! Hi and thank you for the quick reply! I have not sent any invitations out just because of the negative comments...especially from his mom..she is driving me insane!! As for the positive those were from my friends who just booked the trip without even getting the invitation.. I will send some out this week... Good idea on the list.. I will do that in the morning... as you can see its very late..but I am so stressing and thinking of a million things.. that I cant sleep!! I thought about paying the extra charge also just to know my stuff is there as soon as I am there.. at this point though its coming with me...I also inquired about favors and such at the hotel... a fan that you can buy for 89 cents on wedding channel they sell for $10 and they are ugly! So I getting my favors here and bringing them with me.. Are you having a private reception at your hotel? Or in a restaurant? I have the option for both and havent chosen that either..but they did tell me I could choose three days before the wedding..so I was waiting to see how many people come and then I would decide... a reception is only $500 and few added on extras for certain things..nothing like if we were having it here in New York... If I do it in one of there restaurants I was going to get pretty napkins and some table favors I dont even know what to get!! I was just curious as to what people are doing when they get to there Destinations. Thanks for your help!! Kim :-)

Hello all, I am not new to the site..I pop on and read all the posts every once in a while..I have been on here tonight reading all your posts.. I am getting married 02-20-2010 at Aventura Spa Palace. I already have my dress and our rings... I bought DIY message in a bottle invites... and have not sent any out just because I feel seriously frustrated with the people I am inviting. I keep getting calls to look up flights as well as check rates for hotels... I have also gotten..I dont want to go to Mexico...or its to expensive...I just feel like Helloooo I am not a travel agent! I wanted a destination wedding to avoid the stress of who doesnt want to sit with who and if so and so is coming I wont be coming! Yet..here I am stressing! Anyways, I also see alot of you ladies are having a reception when you go home. My hubby to be would like to have a casual party, we are thinking a big barbeque/clambake when the weather is warmer.. Are you sending out an additional invitations? Kinda like a wedding announcement and please come and join the festivities? I also see your bringing OOT bags as well as some silk flower bouquets. How are you getting most of this stuff to your destinations? Extra suitcase or a broker? My wedding planner suggested a broker.. but I figured I would pay the extra $25 for an extra suitcase. Are you giving OOT gift bags and a gift at your wedding? I still need shoes, jewerly, an outfit for the groom and groomsmen... and all my OOT bag gifts. My bridesmaids are pretty much taken care of...I guess I should send out some invitations as well LOL.. Any advice you ladies have would be greatly appreciated!!! Hello all, Havent been on here in a while...I just got back from Mexico...stayed at Aventura Spa...and I have lots of pics of the property if anyone is interested as well as clips..I am planning my wedding there for Feb...and I wasnt sure if I wanted to have it there or in LeBlanc...so I have pics of both resorts... You will have a beautiful wedding at Aventura..while I was there 3 people got married... I am really excited...sat down with the wedding coordinators and picked out all my things.. Hello all, I will be getting married this year at the Aventura Spa in Mexico on October 31, 2009. I have been reading all day today...since I came acorss the site. I have been to the Aventura Spa plenty of times...and I totally love it there..I have been going on trip advisor and looking at wedding pics from people that have had there wedding there... and some of the pics are absolutely beautiful... I know from experience that the resort is beautiful and the service is outstanding... Just wanted to pop in here and say hello...Hope to read some more great things and get some ideas from the site!!
