i am very excited i leave on tuesday xxx getting married a week on friday at Riu Montego Bay xxx loving the booking abroad and escaping the boring uk weather x i booked through first choice i have done a small OOT for guests just some hand gel tissues hand held fan and a little welcome leaflet (well still havent done this yet)

did i read that the riu montego bay doesnt have lifts? i am so confused lol i just ask as my room is an ocean front suite and we have requested a high floor although bit concerned if i have to climb down a lot of stairs in my dress on the day

i have gone for the royal package as well but i am not fussed if i dont want any extras the only couple of things i wanted was the bouquet and the photographer so anything else is a bonus for me xx hope your plans are going well xxx

hello brides i am here i was just using the april 2010 brides thread to keep up to date i leave on tuesday and get married 23rd april getting very excited now xx

i am so happy i just got the email confirmation about the photographer in jamaica so finally after three months the hotel has agreed to honour the package i booked and provide me with one thank goodness that is sorted as we fly in about 6 days i can now relax and start packing (i know alarm bells ringing as i havent started yet ) one less stress over now to deal with the next one xx hope everyone is enjoying their last few days of unmarried life xxx

good luck to all those this week xxx i leave next tuesday am (but from uk so it will be late monday to most of you x) and get married a week on friday this last week is gonna stress me out to the max but at least my silk flowers arrived and they are gorgeous i would upload a photo but i dont have enough posts yet lol still no luck with the photographer issue as yet but fingers crossed i will get an email today about it

hello ladies just checking in and seeing how everyone is dealing with the last few weeks Meghan i hope that they dont cause any more drama coz if it was me i would have gotten loud and abusive by now xx i am getting nervous now as i still have no confirmation about the photographer at the hotel not sure if i mentioned before that the hotel changed its wedding package and i aparently did not get the package i paid for the travel agents are supposed to be fixing it but so far all they keep saying is just take the paperwork with you and i am sure it will be fine i have asked for a letter from travel agents to confirm that i do have a photographer as i dont want to get there and find out i dont the hotel are saying that they still have not received anything from the travel agents ggrrr i fly out in less than two weeks and getting a bit panicky now

hi sugarg i am getting amrried in april 2010 i booked as soon as we could with first choice for Riu Montego Bay (april 09) there have been a few issues along the way but that was mainly due to the original Travel Agent messing up the booking but thankfully we had a friend who worked at First Choice who fixed everything for us the only other mishap is the change to wedding package the hotel have changed their packages but we have been assured that the package we have details on is what we will get (fingers crossed) i ordered my dress in september (after trying on about 100 lol) and go for my first fitting on saturday we did a lot of the invitations etc ourselves and will be uploading the templates just as soon as my account upgrades we used vista print for a few things which saved us a lot of money we still have a few things to do but they are only little things which we dont have to panic about

so ladies what times do you all arrive as we are there first out of us all we want to say hello xx

Would that explain why they tried to change my wedding package details ? i have had to argue about the photographer as when we booked last april we were told we had a photographer included i contacted michael about a month ago who advised me that the wedding packages no longer include photography!!! so i went mad at my travel agent who confirmed that i would definately get everything that we have on the list fingers crossed sherika will agree

hi i have some pics (the standard ones) that i am trying to upload at the moment on to another brides question when i work it out i will post some on this one as well for you the best thing to do is contact the wedding coordinator at the hotel to ask the questions about flowers and seat covers etc i know that they only prioritise based on the wedding date so they may not answer straight away i will also post the email address as soon as i can xx jodi xx
