  1. I am getting married in the gazebo at the Grand Palladium in Punta Cana and having a catholic ceremony. According to the diocese, they don't allow ceremonies on the beach, but, if you can find a gazebo that's pretty close, that is allowed (I found the logic funny too).

  4. This was helpful to me and we're planning our AHR for about 5 months after. Thanks for posting.
  5. You all have totally convinced me into more research into real touch bouquets!
  6. I was so so about going there today because I only need a few things, but now you guys have convinced me! Thanks for the post
  7. morning : went to a gym class
  8. DEH, when my parents went down there to meet with carolina (they did a site visit since my FI and I couldn't), the chairs were some in the gazebo, some outside on the lawn area. I would double check with carolina, but I think you should be able to fit everyone with no problems.
  9. I'm getting married in the gazebo, since we are having a catholic (and therefore, legal) wedding. I fell in love with Photosouvenir - but, they were already booked the day of my wedding. Instead we are using HDC photo, and they have been very pleasant so far.
  10. Congratulations and welcome to another PC bride!
  11. Congratulations and welcome!
  12. Do you think it is a bad idea to not pay for / just use a bar near the wedding gazebo to have guests get drinks there? Should we make it a point to definitely serve some hors d'ouevres then? Our resort is AI, but, I don't want any guests to feel hungry! I don't mind doing this, I just haven't come across any info (either here or from our WC) about pricing or options. We are getting married at 4 pm, and the ceremony should end in 30 minutes - the guests would then go to the Lobby Bar or the Bar near the pool to mingle for a while and that would be the "cocktail hour". The pool bar is closest, but, only has drinks, no food. We're planning on starting a reception at 6:00 or 6:30 pm - Do you think that's too early? My concern is that I want to PLAN the day as smoothly as possible, knowing full well that there's a good possibility something will get screwed up. We would have dinner, dancing, and then, we could go to the resort's disco once it opens at 11 pm if people want to keep the party going. Thoughts / Opinions? TIA ladies!
  13. Work here too - I am looking forward to my boss being out in two weeks!
  14. The things that come out of people's mouths at work, still shock me. And, just because we work together, doesn't mean we are all best friends!
  15. Can you explain the dollar dance? I haven't heard of it!
  16. I agree 100% with DEH, I felt the same, kind of in that, I have faith that in the end I'll have a great wedding! At first she had given me a time (2 pm), which I was so-so about, and then it got moved to 4 pm, which i think is a bit better as far as flow for the day, going into a cocktail hour of sorts and then our dinner. If you both are around, you should come to our wedding on the 16th!
