My friend is a photographer and he looked at the packages the hotel sent over, and they bang you for every picture over your allotted amount. Here is the website with samples, but I have seen other samples and they weren't good...they looked like your average photo. www.fotocaribbean.com.mx I have the prices too for all three if you need them to compare. Here is an excel sheet I put together... Thank you so much for the spreadsheet but I don't have enough points to open it! I know my fiance is opposed to any extra spending - like I know he will freak at the $300 fine. I do still want to compare prices though because maybe I can negotiate it with him! lol... I hope I can get some points here so I can open that! -

Otherwise, I wonder if the WC at the Maya has an samples she could send you. Just a thought! I didn't even think of emailing and asking for samples! duh!!! Thanks! -

These are ideas I have but would like some help or advice from those of you who are experienced. I am looking at your pictures and they are gorgeous ladies. Thank you for your help. Mandee I got my monogram from: Allurements by Rebecca She has a thread on the site also! I love the idea of the boarding pass, but we are inviting over 200 people because that's how many people are on the list for the AHR, so I am doing something cheaper and easier than the boarding pass- but I don't know what. Something simple. I am not doing itinerary books because I only plan to have a 'rehearsal' dinner and of course the wedding and dinner...so I am going to do a simple welcome letter to have delivered to the guests rooms to inform them of the time and location of those events. Many people here have done elaborate itineraries and great brochures, etc.... I think its great but I'm not going to do it personally. Also I want people to feel like its their vacation and they can spend their time at their leisure! There are lots of ideas on here though for boarding passes and the itineraries!

It was really annoying! There is absolutely no reason to stop on the way to the activity! I was frustrated and thats what turns me off from excursions!

Sorry to post twice in a row but I have a question, and perhaps I should put it on the old Iberostar thread. It seems like no one uses the Iberostar photographer. I am absolutely using them because its not in my budget to pay the $300 fine plus photography fees on top of that for using an 'outside' vendor. I just wish I could see some examples from the Iberostar photography staff! -

(I chose to have my wedding at the Maya for a change of scenery) You can eat at the buffet any night- was that your question? Or did you mean the restaurants...? When I was there and its probably still the same..you had to make a reservation between a certain hour in the lobby for the specialty restaurants. Sometimes it was hard to get a reservation but I do remember going to the Seafood restaurant and the Steakhouse. The buffet is really great too! -

I am planning a bridal shower (along with a few other girls) for a friend that is getting married this October. We are having the shower at her moms house (very big with a pool) and are going to have a caterer come in. We are planning on doing a clambake and are doing the red and white checked table clothes and going with the whole picnic / clambake theme. Any suggestions for favors? Or does anyone have a favorite website for unique types of favors? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. HI! I thought this website had some cute favor ideas for beach themes...you could still use a beach theme for favors since your wedding is a DW. Unique Beach Wedding Favors and Affordable Beach Theme Wedding Favor Ideas I also found some of these same items on other sites but this site had cheaper prices! also...if you have a chocolate shop near you (or i'm sure you could order them) You could make or buy chocolates in the shape of shells, crabs, starfish..etc..... A place near my house makes chocolates and puts 2 or 3 to a small box- very cute and edible favor.

I did end up finding regular $.44 stamps that have wedding bands! However, the reply on the website is a good idea! I do have a website and I didn't even think of that!!! Also, I got my dress today! We've had nothing but rain around here so I decided to go to David's bridal today with my mom. I found a dress I loved and I can't believe it! I ordered it and it will be in in October. Its plain but elegant enough because it has nice beading around the halter top. It already fit just as it was too! I just have to have it hemmed and cups sewn in. I can't believe I got it today! I also got cute shoes- little flip flop heels with beads on them- so cute and comfortable! -

Ok I did it... this is the only one I have,..which doesn't show much. Its a nice full skirt- more of a dress than I thought I'd get. The rest is plain besides the beaded halter and the knotted top! Its really simple but elegant at the same time. It fit perfect too! -

I am excited to find this! Yeah the other thread has 146 pages! I can't keep track. My wedding is a year from tomorrow! I am getting married at the Paraiso Maya. I have a lot of questions and things I'm thinking about and contemplating. I just finished my STD's and I was GOING to get 'special' stamps.....but since they are practically $1.00 apiece...I will be getting regular old stamps. I can't spend money on stuff that will end up in the trash. I may be going to look at dresses tomorrow so I'm very excited..... -
Hi! I got engaged in Mexico in April at the RPRM and we went on the jungle adventure which was basically kayaking, snorkling...and then traveling off road in special vehicles to swim in the cenotes...it was a long day but it was a lot of fun. the guides were good. The only thing I didn't like was that you drive to this main 'store', before you start the trip and then again after so that you can see the pictures they've taken because they want you to buy some and buy form the gift shop. However...the stop prior to the excursion beginning was really annoying. All in all, it was good.

Is everyone doing separate invites for the AHR? We are having ours about 3 weeks after we come home. there will be about 200 people. Its going to be outdoors with a casual BBQ chicken buffet and we are having a DJ. I don't plan to have the wedding party wear their attire or have a photographer. we just want to show off our pictures, celebrate with everyone, and have our first official dance with everyone there. Its so far in advance, maybe everyone will end up wearing their outfits once I see what they are!

Hi- I was having this discussion today with my mother......I just made my save the dates and I had them printed from vista print. www.vistaprint.com I made postcards using my own uploaded pictures with info about the DW on the front and the AHR date on the back- and I am sending them to everyone...so now I feel like I have to send the wedding invitations to everyone although I feel like its a little silly since out of 200 people probably 30-40 will go if I'm lucky. but...I am sending them anyway so they know they are all invited. So now my dilemma is that I will also have to send out additional inivited for the AHR....so I've just decided to make those invites as casual and cheap as possible because all this adds up! vista print gave me an awesome deal for the STD's. I ended up calling with a question and she gave me 100 postcards for free!!!!
