  1. I love your legal day photos... The shoes look awesome on you. You guys look radiant and happy Congratulations Mrs!
  2. Oh, and the communication before the wedding was great. They kept in regular contact and Melissa at the office is exceptional at getting back to you when you email them. Matt called me a week or two before the wedding as well. They are pricey, and we wouldn't have been able to afford them without some generous parental assistance, but worth their weight in gold I haven't explored any album options but what is most important to me is a digital copy of the pictures, which we should receive on a DVD in a few weeks. Good luck!
  3. Not meaning to sound like a total advertisement, I need to say that having Del Sol do our wedding day was one of the best decisions we made (besides deciding to marry each other, and getting hitched in Mexico!).

  6. Having been there April (2 years ago) and May (this time around), I would say that those months are generally pretty safe weather wise. I don't think you can ever escape humidity completely in the Carribean side of Mexico, but I can tell you the 2 weeks we were there between May 2nd and May 16th were very warm and sunny just the way I like it
  7. Congratulations on a beautiful wedding and thank you for sharing your review
  8. You won't regret getting married in Tulum! Endless possibilities for a beautiful wedding. Welcome to the forum!
  9. Karen, I am in love with everything! I especially adore your blue shoes and was in fact eye-ing the same pair for myself Your guests are going to love all the care and personal touches you've put in. Your bridesmaid hair flowers are perfect. Seeing your thread and so many other b2b's planning threads makes me nostalgic already for that feeling "I'm about to get married!". You must be getting so excited
  10. Love how he proposed when you totally were not expecting it!! I bet it made the next day at the hospital fly right by
  11. Wow wow wow! love your planning thread Congratulations on getting hitched!
  12. Amy, I cannot say enough how much I love your dress and how perfect it is for you!! I love the thought and care that you put into all the personalized details. Congratulations to you and Daylen
  13. Your review was awesomely detailed!! I *love* your orange & aqua colors, they really pop--your programs on the fan were great--something I wanted to do but ran out of time. Congratulations
  14. Wow, you and DH look wonderful together. I love love your ring picture in that green succulent plant--that was one of the pictures we missed!
  15. We got married just about 2 weeks ago at La Zebra (in Tulum, on our favorite beach in the world) and we absolutely lucky to have Sol Tomargo and Rodrigo from Del Sol come capture our day. They exceeded any inklings of expectations we had and were a pleasure to work with up til the day of the wedding. I can see why everyone says Sol is a total sweetheart--with my kind of personality I was feeling stressed on our day and she said all the right things to help me chillax a little. My brother is a photographer as well and it was great to see them banter back and forth. Major kudos to her and Rodrigo who ran around to get the perfect pictures in when our family and guests were busy trying to get their own pictures. They went above and beyond, and even stayed longer than our previous agreement to capture the story of our day as things were running late. Even better, while we were on our second week in Mexico after everyone had gone home, we get this email saying they had a "supresa" for us. Low and behold, it was our wedding slideshow!! I didn't expect to see anything for at least a month or two. The funny thing is that we couldn't even view it in its entirety until we got back home on Monday. 05.05.10 Christine + Anthony | Wedding at La Zebra, Tulum | Photos by Sol Tamargo I am in love with Del Sol I will be following up with a wedding review (hopefully sooner than later!), but I wanted to give a shout out to Marion Vaglio our Tulum wedding coordinator, the wonderful staff at La Zebra, including Lina the manager there, Fernando Fuentes and his hair partner Gama, and the awesome and beautiful firedancer pair who I wish I knew the names of! We also did a trash the dress session with Rachel Schrank from Playa Weddings the week after which was major fun. I will post when I get some pictures.
  16. Karen you are so awesome for keeping track of all of us May girls!! Have a great time at the shower this weekend Its last minute details and packing for me today and tomorrow, we leave on Sunday as well!
  17. Amy, I have been waiting patiently for your planning thread (because I knew it was going to be awesome) and now that its finally out, i feel like a kid in a candy shop!! Feel free to post your outfits for Mexico as well!
  18. Wow!! I am so happy for you! I know you will have a fabulous wedding!
  19. Congratulations and have fun on the forum!!
  20. Karen, changing your last name is totally a personal decision, and the fact that she half co-erced you into it is totally not cool. I am choosing to keep my last name, but would be happy to be referred to by my husband to-be's last name! I am sorry this woman made you sad and Mad I love how your program has more creative license for how you do your thesis! Implementing a reading program gives back and everyone benefits from it! I know it will go well for you. My topic asks whether young adults (b/w 18-30) have unmet health needs (as they are least likely to access health care, and pick up bad habits i.e. drinking, bad diet etc., that they carry on later in life during these years). I am currently impatiently waiting for the last of the wedding related stuff (table runners, and a hair flower) I ordered to arrive (why won't it get here already). 9 days to go!!
  21. Karen, I hear you, when it rains it pours!! Thank god it's over and have a glass of something. School was out as of last week for me, but not really because I am working on a thesis and I am already like 2 months behind . Yes, I have found that some of these profs (probably a woman right?) can be quite snarky when it comes to academia--its like they are on some sort of power trip (come on, for real?!!). I come from a pediatric specialty and am doing a regular masters in nursing, but I totally admire how you are going the NP route--I so wanted to do that when I was in nursing school but feel like I still don't have enough experience, so will wait on that . What area do you/would you like to work in?
  22. Love it love it love it Wendy!! Is it the new style from DB?
  23. I tell myself, If Jason and Molly from the Bachelor can get married in that rain storm so can I! But.... gotta think positive!
  24. Wow! How exciting! Funny how big life events seems to happen at once eh? Like moving overseas, getting married etc., etc. Congratulations & Happy Planning!
