  1. I read something similar - can't remember where. If it rains (or is expected to rain) they will move your wedding to an indoor location.

We booked it !
  3. I will keep you posted - my parents are in Mexico right now on vacation, this was one of the things I asked them to try to locate.

I think that was me I was given the run around from day 1 . My TA wouldn't include it in her group contract because it's not there offer. Palace Resorts wouldn't it in theirs because the only contract I have with them is the wedding contract. I guess for whatever reasons, some TA's include this in their contract while others do not - I'm not sure why. In any event, after several emails & phone calls back and forth , head office did confirm as long as a group contract is in place, the offers stand. I will be taking my paper trail south with me ...just in case. Hope this helps.

Or have you had fire dancers that were affordable? I would also consider just hiring spanish dancers. Any info you may have is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance! Chk. out Zúñiga Productions | Special Event Services for Groups and Conventions - I received a quote for 15 mins. - 4 dancers $700US
  6. Does anyone have any information on William Sanchez Photography ( www.williamsanchez.com.mx ) Thanks.

We decided on the firedancers over the Mariachi band ($580 US for 1 hour). I think my guests will appreciate the firedancers more. Please keep me posted on your quote for furniture and paper lanterns. I'm bringing a few paper lanterns for table setting and placing battery tealights inside but I'd like to put up a few around our table(s). But with a beach dinner I'm not sure how/where they'll string them.

Because MP doesn't require outside vendors, we have to use the company they suggest. We were originally quoted $1500 US for 4 dancers/15 minutes. I was floored with the difference in prices. Upon bringing it to my WC and the company's attention they requoted @ $680 US tax in. The company is Zúñiga Productions | Special Event Services for Groups and Conventions Hope this helps. LOL ...if your wedding was April 18 - we could have split the cost
  9. Thks. FutureMsMoulton! Good luck We'll all be waiting for your beatiful pics and review.

I completely understand where you're coming from w/being upset, but you hadn't paid or signed a contract, yet, so I don't see how you can assume they might not show for the actual wedding. There was obviously a mix up somewhere, which totally sucks but stuff like that happens sometimes. I'm sorry it didn't work out for you, but that kinda sucks for you to come on here and scare other brides who have already booked him. I haven't had my wedding or pics done, yet, and will write a review (whether good or bad) after, but every communication I've had up to this point has been very professional and kind. I wish you lots of luck in finding a photog for your date in your price range!! I know that is a super stressful thing. I can't vouch for this guy from experience, but he contacted me via email after finding me on this forum about doing discounts for brides [email protected] (Jared Rey Blog-site | Dallas Wedding Photographer). Not sure what all his details/prices are, but his pics looked pretty! Contract or not - if he confirmed he was available and then 7 days later looks at the calendar and sees otherwise....who's to say that it can't happen even if I did sign the contract. I'm sure it was an oversight but it was just an up and down (first they weren't available, then they were, not they're not) of emotions. Their pictures are great - and for those that have/will be booking, I'm sure you'll be impressed.

That's my thinking too - everything will work out in the end. If you still have your 10% off....I will be ordering in the next 2-3 weeks. Thanks.
  12. Hello ladies, I wanted to let you know the latest. Initially I had contacted Victora Herrera (Adrian or Sara) for photography. I was sent an email indicating that all 3 were busy. About 2 weeks ago, I sent an email re-inquiring. To my surprise, Adrian was available. After corresponding with him, my contract was in the works, arranging a hotel room, confirming payment arrangements, confirming wedding details.....I received an email yesterday telling me he wasn't available. WTF?!! Am I upset, yes - this is a super stress for me. However, if it's indicative of their service, I'm really not interested in using them anyway. I'd be worried whether or not they would show up for my wedding . Good luck !!
  13. Thanks Tiffani1980 and Good Luck with the remainder of your plans - I'll be looking forward to reading your review. We have yet to confirm our dinner location. We will be getting firedancers and are hoping that there is an area that would permit the dancers to perform directly on the beach and out guests not too far away. We were looking at the Terraza Venado but the WC doesn't think the guests will be able to see the firedancers if they perform on the beach. Maybe I'll try for a beach dinner?!
  14. With limited details provided about the reception locations, please add insight you may have about the locations offered. ie. close to the beach, too noisy, no privacy etc etc. Moon Palace Reception Areas[1].pdf
  15. You'll have to let us know when/if you're able to confirm as my guests will also be taking part in these tours.

I remember reading on the website that they tours require reservation upon arrival through the "Palace Vacation Planners". Not sure where they are located. Just looking now at the website, it looks like you can also email: [email protected] for more information. Hope this helps.
  17. Weird - I sent an inquiry mid January , all 3 were booked. I just sent another email and....voila ADRIAN IS AVAILABLE Their rates went up slightly but they are still the best priced and the quality is great. I'm 99% sure I'll be booking him . Phew....I was really starting to stress about this .
  18. I agree - a change of pace is nice. I'll have to look into the options. Worst case scenario, if we stay at MP the 2nd week, at least we have the option to use the other Palace Resorts for a bit of variety.

I'm only buying them for the "aisle" on the beach . Fingers crossed it isn't too windy
  20. Is 2 weeks too long to stay at Moon Palace? We initially booked 1 week but are no contemplating a 2 week stay. Any advice??
  21. I'm getting married on a Sunday ! However, it's a symbolic wedding (not legal).
  22. Any thoughts on the aisle runner for the beach ?? I know the have some type of a runner but the ones you've listed are very pretty
