My dress just came in and I am totally stoked. I ordered it 2 weeks ago and they told me it would be here in 15 weeks. But it's in! And it's more awesome than I remembered. Only thing is that I went to pick it up along with the veil and ribbon and stupid David's Bridal took the veil and ribbon order as "take away". Meaning they carry the veil and ribbon in the store and should have given it to me up front. Unfortunately, they don't carry either of them in the store. The extremely rude sales girl told me I already had them and I should check at home. So I asked her to show me the veil and ribbon since they carry them in the store and the sales girl said, "We don't carry those items in the store. We will have to order them". Yes, they really are that dumb there. If this dress wasn't so perfect for me and I hadn't shopped in tons of stores in Scottsdale and Texas, I would have cancelled the whole order and gone elsewhere. Anyways, my FMIL found the veil stuffed in the dress bag and I cancelled the ribbon order. I'll just make my own sash. I bought my slip on ebay for $20 and still looking for a headband and shoes. Although, I found some orange Jimmy Choos that maybe I can convince FI to buy me...LOL. I can't post pictures while I'm at work so I'll include the DB link. I'm going to lace the back up with a persimmon sash and probably add some flavors of orange beading to the train. The girl in the pic must be 7 feet tall and a size 0 because this dress doesn't even look the same on me (I'm 5'4" and size 6). But I love it! Enjoy David's Bridal - Satin side draped A-line with beaded metallic embroidered lace.

We are flying to Puerto Vallarta 3 days before the wedding, getting married on Saturday, then staying at the same resort until the next Saturday for a total of 10 days. We're only doing a religious ceremony down there to avoid all of the legal hassles. This trip is our weddingmoon. In the summer we are planning a private cruise of the Greek Islands for our honeymoon. So totally excited!!!

There are a ton of great places there! Good luck planning

Congrats! Welcome to the forum

Argh! Who knew that planning a wedding meant your personal info was going to get sold to so many annoying vendors. I went to a bridal expo and wanted to shoot myself because it was so overwhelming. Now they have sold my info and there are 2000 unread emails in my inbox. Then Davids Bridal sold my info when I bought a dress for my best friends wedding. Now my physical mailbox is filling up. This just !!!!

I heart wine! Worked in San Fran for about 2 years and got totally spoiled with all of the great wine there. My favorites come from the Russian River and Alexander Valley vineyards. Now we live in Phoenix and the FIL are in town this weekend. We are going on a tour of some of the Northern Arizona/Sedona wineries tomorrow. So excited!!! Thanks Jill! I just got the photo stuff from the resort and totally agree with you - although you are way more PC than I am. Paulina's work looks amazing. I'll have to figure out what we are going to do now because I was kinda banking on using the included photographer. But after being on this forum it looks like a lot of people bring their own! We'll have to plan a meet up at the resort since we're there at the same time

OMG! I am so glad I stumbled on this thread and am going to vent for a minute. My mother is driving me nutso! She is refusing to help me put together a guest list from my side of the family. Initially I was planning on getting married in Texas (where I grew up) and her list was 250 people. Now we are going to Mexico and she has lost her mind. She claims that she has talked to everyone that she would want to come and they all think I am crazy for not getting married in Texas. Thing is... I live in Phoenix! So Texas or Mexico are both destination for me. My FI's family lives in Kansas so they have to travel anyways. His brother got married in Cancun a couple years ago and the whole family ended up going and having a blast. Now they are all way excited and keep calling and saying they are coming to ours since we are going somewhere fun. So much for keeping it small. It is so hard when 1 side is being so cool and totally makes me excited to plan compared to the other side that is just being a complete downer and ends up draining me. I know mom will come around, but seriously why does she have to be so difficult? She keeps saying she knows it is my wedding and wants me to be happy, but she is absolutely miserable (and making me miserable) because she thinks I am trying to make people not come. Ahhhhhhhh!!!!! OK. Enough crying. I’m off to finish my guest list and try to not get caught at work

So I wanted our picture on the STD postcards, but started with the ones attached and think they look kinda cute. Should I redo the back and incorporate a picture somehow? Or should I stop messing with them and get them sent out since I'm a little behind the curve? Let me know what y'all think! Thanks!

I think FI and I have decided to deliver the OOT bags to the rooms personally, for a special touch and a bit of cash saved. Rebeca mentioned that we could request room info / numbers from front desk with no problems. Has anyone else considered doing this, or do you think that having them delivered before hand is a better option? (Keep in mind, FI and I will be there a week before everyone-- hooray for backward honeymoons, lol) FI's brother got married at Dreams Cancun last year and had the OOT bags delivered to the rooms before you checked in. It was kinda cool having something waiting for you in the room. FI thought it was the greatest thing and is almost insisting that we pay to do it too. He's pretty chill on most things so I'll probably give this one to him ;-) His arguments for us are: 1) everyone is arriving at different times; 2) we're putting itineraries in the bags so people can find us; 3) he just doesnt want to run around chasing people down who might not even be in their room.
