  1. Awww I just got chills. How wonderful!
  2. NP Kat I also found a "wizard" to help you with all of the documents and fees. It walks you through the process and you can print your docs at the end: https://pptform.state.gov/
  3. My friends are picture whores and we ended up with over 5000 pics from everyone's vacation and their versions of our wedding. These are priceless, and fun, and make me smile everytime I look at them (and were free because everyone already had digital cameras). If your friends and family don't have cameras then a drawing would be really cool. BUT.... I wouldn't trade my pro pics for anything. People either have an eye for a picture or they don't. Do you really want to chance not getting one of you and FI's first kiss? Do you really want to ask your guests to pay attention to their camera and shot instead of listening to your vows? Like Rachel, all of our priorities are different, but you can't recreate a DW just to get a missed photo op. I'm now addicted to pro pictures and want someone to capture every important moment in my life LOL A lot of photogs will just give you a DVD of your pics so you don't have to pay for albums and prints and stuff that you don't want. And they will tailor their shooting time to your needs. Even the photogs included in the wedding packages are usually pretty good.
  4. Just thought I would chime in that Weight Watchers is not a diet. It is a support group that teaches you how eat better by showing you correct portion sizes and being aware of what you are giving your body. It is a lifestyle change. Like Rachel said, the calorie apps for smart phones will do almost the same thing as WW. I promise if you write down what you eat: and are honest about it you will start to lose because you don't want to see a 5,000 calorie day on paper. The biggest thing for weight loss is to burn more than you eat. So exercise and your food, both play integral roles in your life. And I love all of the small goal advice! It's the little wins that keep us moving forward. Reward yourself when you reach a goal - I just got new hiking boots for reaching a personal goal
  5. It does have to come from inside... but a little outside encouragement helps a lot! Weight Watchers has been really good for me and taught me how to eat better... I went from being able to eat junk all of the time and stay skinny, to hitting my late 20s and gaining 40 pounds in the blink of an eye. P90X helped me lose the weight and WW is helping me keep it off. Good luck and check out the support threads on exercise and diet for an extra boost of confidence )
  6. Yay for getting a date gowiththeflow! I have a feeling that a lot of people hold dates and then back out. Oceana is a great restaurant and perfect for a large reception and rain plan. I did the girls brunch on the wedding day there and the food was soooo yummy. My mom was trying to get a hold of me so she called the hostess and they actually brought the phone over to our table. All of my girlfriends were rolling on the floor over how funny it was to get a call at the restaurant. Typing this it obviously wasn't that funny, but I kinda felt like a big deal on my big day ;-P
  7. Everything looks great Krista! I love all of your clothes and your dress is just gorgeous!! Congrats and have a wonderful wedding
  8. Allyson is having her reception at Oceana. You can try hitting her up for the info. Quote: Originally Posted by gowiththeflow OH and thanks everyone for the input regarding Fridays! 9. I'm so happy that talking about it made you feel a little better. Weddings are so stressful and everyone (including yourself) seem to expect the bride to be uber happy about all of the stress. I hope you can take a deep breath and reflect on why you are marrying your "Chalamalla" in 28 days!!
  10. Whoa whoa whoa... your post says 1 more dres... I swear that I see you in 2 different white dresses in Chris' pictures! Love! Congrats on finally being legal )
  11. Those are perfect OOT bags! I'm also looking for beach bags that zip close. Great find!!
  12. OMG! Those Giuseppes are crazy! Raychel I heart heart heart blinging out everything and anything. Your shoes are going to be amazing! If you ever need more crystals, I buy them on ebay from China for super cheap. And zappos has a couture site if you ever get tired of the Gilts or HauteLooks Zappos Couture
  13. Great planning April. Your guests will appreciate you thinking of them. gowiththeflow ~ The Mexican Fiesta is HUGE at Dreams PV. And I think has the best food served that night. It was something that all of my guests attended and really enjoyed. It is pretty loud and takes place around the main pool so it is very close to Las Palmas and the Gazebo. They set up tables around the pool, there is a stage, and vendors so it really is a big party. The other nights were definitely less rowdy and probably more preferable for a wedding reception at Las Palmas. Honestly the weekdays are less crowded at the resort in general so a wedding may seem a little more private. But if your timeline for the wedding must be a Friday or Saturday, and you don't want the beach, you might see if you could work something out at Oceana or Seaside Grill. Both overlook the ocean and are very pretty for a reception. Also, you might check out different months for available Saturdays. Good luck!
  14. Exciting miss delerium! I think we went through 10 dates, before we found one that fit. I stressed and cried over the rejection of date after date, but the one we got was soooo perfect. Remember that everything happens for a reason and I'm sure you will get a great date!
  15. Bumping! The new US fees were approved and go into effect July 13th, 2010. That's less than 2 weeks from today; so all you B2Bs tell your guests, and all of you new Mrs. get your names changed New Passport Fees - Effective July 13

  17. Hi Angela! I'm in love with Puerto Vallarta, it's an awesome place to get married Congrats and happy planning!
  18. Well I think it is awesome that you will have the same names! Regardless of what either of you go by. I had something simliar happen to one of my girlfriends. No one knew that her first name was Barbara because she goes by Lauren. On her wedding invites she put her full name and her close friends started calling her Barbie (mind you she is gorgeous with flawless skin and used to do beauty pageants). She hated it at first, but now embraces and runs with it from time to time. I hope your FI can be "Barbie-like" and start to have fun with your names )
  19. Tough tough tough vote this month! Good luck to everyone!
