Wow! Everything looks amazing. You are going to have an awesome wedding

Great thread!! Wedding Top 6: 1. Wedding gazebo overlooking the beach - Far away from the swim up pool bar because the last time I was at Riu in Cabo the entire pool sang You’ve Lost That Loving Feeling to the bride as she walked down the aisle. All of my friends think that was hilarious and want to do that to us 2. Value of the wedding packages 3. Everything for the wedding done at the resort by the resort! 4. 1 wedding per day 5. Great WC 6. Good resort website. I am really techy and hate when I can’t get info online. Resort Top 5: 1. AI 2. Family friendly 3. Ease in getting there – short travel time from PHX, SAT, MCI and close to destination airport 4. Swim up pool bar 5. 4 star or higher

Hi Blana! You are not alone. We are getting married in Puerto Vallarta but having a big reception in New Braunfels, TX. We currently live in Phoenix, but I grew up in Texas. So all of my events are destination Good luck planning!!

Wow! You are hitting it hard. I did plyometrics last night and have arms tonight plus kickball. Keep up the awesome work so we can show off how motivational BDW is when we get to Dreams Quote: Originally Posted by J&MWedding I ran a mile before spin class this morning! spin class was a 50 min class and I might go to kickboxing or tennis tonight...trying to not to burn myself out too much. Karla - It sounds like you are getting a ton of stuff completed! I'm from Texas and noticed that you are in Bryan. I had a ton of friends at A&M, man we had some fun over there. My AHR is going to be in New Braunfels And here is an update to my list... 1. Engagement Pics taken in Sedona http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t44113 2. Finished half of the invites (need e-pics for passport picture) 3. Bought Dad's shirt 4. Bought Mom's outfit (what an ordeal... anyone else have an extremely opinionated mother?) 5. Boked a photographer!!!! Using Nate Cordova and he seems totally cool. license to Still 6. Bought FI's flip flops 7. Bought dyeable shoes from Davids Bridal after ordering and returning 5 from Zappos - LOL 8. Decided to order FI the $99 custom linen suit online (if it looks bad we'll just get him one from Mens Wearhouse) Linen Suits : Studiosuits.com, Custom Suits | Designer Suits 9. Attempted to buy our brothers shirts and flip flops: FI's bro is the best man and my 2 bros are my honor attendants. Since there are no girls in the wedding I thought clothes would be easy, but FIs brother is high maintenance and is convinced that the Reef flip flops I want won't be the right size. I mean honestly... 10. Purchases un-bridesmaid necklaces and need to send them with a letter. Not even going to get into the OOT junk yet so that's it for now. ~ Autumn

Thanks Jessica! I have done so many hours of research I was going insane. There are a ton of photogs out there, but most of the ones we liked were already booked or were way out of our tiny little budget. Or they ended up having terrible reviews on here. For example, I was trying to put something together with Leticia Alarcon but she upped the price on me 3 times in the course of a week (it was so annoying). Until yesterday when I found Nate Cordova! Our fist choice was originally Beth Lloyd but she was booked so what could be better than her second shooter?!?! Edna sent me a PM with his name and it looks like there are a ton of great reviews on him and what an awesome price!!! It also helps when people on here post good stuff about him. I figured he was the one for me when the pics he sent were of Jeni on BDW. I'll let you know how things work out with Nate since we are getting married at the same place Quote: Originally Posted by Future Mrs. Griffith I have heard really good things about Elizabeth Llloyd and Elizabeth Medina for photography in PV. Sneak Peek Engagement Pics
autjo replied to autjo's topic in Post your Destination Wedding & Engagement Pictures!
Thanks girls We had a blast taking them! -
Definitely stop by the wedding! The more the married-er! I'm so glad people started booking for your big day. I think our posts on here gave us good juju The maracas from Mishka look amazing and I am totally jealous that you are going to get them. I'm going to be frugal and get some from OTC. Ditto with the OOT stuff. I am dying to start working on them, but am going to wait until we get a better head count. This dude should be holding maracas => Quote: Originally Posted by J&MWedding That makes me feel better that yours is at 4 too. We have 17, but grooms parents arent even booked yet and they are def coming, and we sat down and figured the "for sure" people and I think it's going to be around 35-40 ppl which is good for me. I keep seeing so many good deals for OOT bags though, and I guess I just have to wait longer to see how many people to buy for. We are going to get maracas from Mishka though! Very excited about that! And hey Jess! I never thanked you for the San Diego restaurant recommendations. We had a blast and went to a couple of the places you listed. Thanks a million

I'm in the process of putting together a contract with L and A Photo. Do you have any recommendations or reviews of working with Leticia? Would you mind sharing some photos from the wedding? Any insight is greatly appreciated! Thanks

Dude... I totally ditched making the little indents. But only after I was at the airport and analyzed Southwest and US Air boarding passes (obsessive huh). They didn't have the little indents so I figured I didn't need to waste any more time on trying to make them look good. I'm finishing mine this weekend and will post pics once they are complete. (Like curved triangles...u know what I'm talking about right? lol) I cant' seem to get that looking very good. Any tips would be great. Thanks!

Great job Josie! It's so hard to find the time to work out everyday! Hope your hammy gets better soon. We're on week 5 of P90X and still going strong. 15 lbs lost so far and I am totally stoked about actually being in shape. No work out tonight because we have kickball, maybe I'll run a couple of laps around the fields before the game...

LOL. I feel the same way. I keep thinking, "I'm not going to be able to find cute dresses in the winter so I have to buy them now"!

Jaclyn - Thanks for the review! It's great to hear unbiased opinions. Personally, the food is not why I picked an all-inclusive. We travel quite a bit and I don't really care for the food in most foreign countries. Don't get me wrong, I try almost everything and I'm sure if I lived somewhere else I would grow to love food there. I have been to several all-inclusives in Mexico (Riu in Cabo, Royal in Playa, Sun Palace in Cancun & Oasis in Cancun) and didn't really like the food at any of them, but the concept is way convenient and my guests that are scared of the drugs lords/swine flu getting them never have to leave the resort....LOL. Something else to remember is that regardless of what people pick for their reception food, there is always something else for your guests to eat! Quote: Originally Posted by J&MWedding I think guests will start booking after they get the invitation. I had a lot of verbal commitments, but people are lagging - we are totally in the same boat! I just sent out an email today that was very polite and just to let everyone know. We'll see what happens! I didn't even think about it, we will totally be able to meet up! We are arriving on Nov 29th and leaving on the 6th for our "honeymoon" portion of our trip. How many people are you inviting? How many do you think will come? When we first started, we had an idea of about 50-60 ppl total coming, but now I think it might be more around 35-40 ppl - which I would be ok with. Jill - I think my email to people worked The families are booked and now my best friend and her hubby too! We invited about 110 people and our first estimates were 50-75. But will probably be closer to 30-40 which I am totally cool with as well. Especially because our AHR is getting out of control and lord only knows how many people my mom will convince to show up... we are sending about 160 invitations to that! We come in on 12/2 and leave on 12/12 (doing our honeymoon summer 2010). Let't plan a pool bar meet up on wed/thur when it gets closer to Dec Hope your peeps start booking soon too!!!

Jill - I am totally in the same boat as you! The only people who have booked are my parents and brothers. FIs family is dragging their feet and totally wearing on me. My TA also hit me up about great rates so I don't know what people are doing. I think I am going to send an email to the people who have said they are going. O well if nobody else books... we can meet up and party it up right!

We are going to San Diego for FI's birthday next weekend. Any suggestions on fun restaurants in La Jolla? Thanks a million!!!

Great job stepping it up before the weddings girlies! Y'all are a total inspiration. 1.5 hrs of YogaX and then played kickball last night. Today is legs.

Your post totally made my day. It's rainy here and I'm surfing BDW instead of working. LOL. I am so ready to be at the beach. It sounds like things are totally working out and I am so happy for you! Drink another marg for me and also ask the bartender to make your FMIL a "mexican" beer... they will top off a beer with tequila - yum-o. Your wedding is going to be awesome!

I didn't realize it was starting tonight! I love this show. My roommate got me addicted a couple of years ago. Even FI watches it with me I'll have to remember to set the DVR when I get home. Thanks for the post!!!

Great post Jac! I can't wait to see what people vote. Personally, we decided to not do flip flops (or t-shirts) mainly because of the sizes. But also, I am counting on most people bringing and/or wearing flip flops to the wedding/reception and have stated the dress code on our wed-site. On the flip side, I went to a really formal wedding in Houston and the bride put out the bucket of flip flops and they were a total hit. It helped that everyone was in killer heels so flip flops made dancing way more fun.
