  1. Happy Monday girls! We finished our registry this weekend! Yea for getting that nonsense done (I didn't want to register but my mom insisted so I had been totally procrastinating). Note to self... never give Brett the scanner again - he honestly tried to put Mountain Dew on the list! Also finished the invites and just need to mail them. As a side note I asked my resort about what kind of Christmas decorations they usually have up in December. They don't do a lot except for a small tree and some stuff in the lobby.
  2. I heart this song in Moulin Rouge! It is on our playlist during dinner. Definitely use it
  3. Meg - I love that your dog's name is spelled Boerne We actually have a couple of acres of land in Boerne and will hopefully move back there someday! 4. Everything looks amazing! You guys are going to have so much fun! Congrats and can't wait to see pics
  5. We have been doing P90X for a while and I love it!!!! I have lost 21 lbs and FI is down too. We took the before and 30 day pics and you can totally tell a diff. Althouh Tony is annoying as crap it's kinda fun to yell at him during the workout. I definitely recommend the program I'll post pics after my BD session next week.
  6. Everything looked amazing! Love the smore fire pit
  7. Thanks Ash! I saw that place and thought it looked so cute. Anyone know if there is dancing at the Cheeky Monkey?
  8. We decided to only offer 1 meal so we don't have to worry about people getting the wrong thing or forgetting what they ordered or mess with meal cards, etc...I'm lazy if y'all couldn't tell It's AI so if the food we picked sucks then we'll all go to the buffet or order a shit ton of room service! Here's what we picked: Poblano soup Crab and citrus salad in mango vinaigrette Chicken breast foretiere w/ veggies Mashed potatoes
  9. I wanted short in the beginning, but found a long one for the DW. And went short for the legal ceremony in Vegas. I'm at work so I can't post pics, but this is the short dress (minus the god awful belt). I got it on sale for $100. Think outside the box for the short dresses because places like Nordstroms had some fabulous white dresses and you can return them if you change your mind! Betsey Johnson Official Store - Evening Bye Bye Love Dress A girlfriend of mine got married in the Sedona Red Rocks and wore this short white dress. It was knee length on her and looked adorable! DIANE von FURSTENBERG - Hippolyte Dress in White, Olive or Chili
  10. H&F - Mine is next Sat and I feel the same way! Where the h3ll did the time go? Guess I'm going to the mall at lunch today so I have something to wear. Here's the list my photog sent me to prepare. Brides for Brides Photography: How to prepare for your boudoir session
  11. I would recommend Cabo Wabo as well. The older crowd will appreciate it more than dragging them to Squid Roe which is my favorite place to dance And why not wear your dress?!?! Think of all the awesome pics you will get, kinda like a mini TTD session. Have a great wedding!
  12. Awww... I'm so sorry! The flowers will definitely not ruin your wedding because the important thing is that you and FI love each other and are doing this for each other, not the flowers At my best friend's wedding the florist delivered the flowers to church the night before and put them in one of the big fridges. The fridge went out and they all died. We didn't even know until 3 hours before the ceremony. My mom went to Costco and bought some amazing bouquets and then hand tied them in no time. It seemed like the end of the world when it happened, but the pictures were amazing with those Costco flowers. You have a ton of flower options for your legal ceremony tomorrow so try and take a deep breath and know that everything will work out. As for Bitterweet, I hope they do something to make this right!
  13. That sounds so cute! We're doing a coffee table guest book too, but it definitely doesn't sound as fun or personal as yours! Yea for checking stuff off the list
  14. Can't wait for Kathy's recap, but did anyone else think the dancers just looked tired last night? The solos were so blah. With the exception of Ade and Melissa's Toasty Oreo dance that made me bawl!
  15. Yea Desiree!!! Enjoy every minute of it. Can't wait to see pics - everything is going to be awesome :)

I love the pics with the girls in wigs... we did that for my best friends bachelorette party and the pictures all came out so good. Congrats on everything looking sooooo beautiful
  17. I asked about the decorations and Rebeca said as long as it was just centerpiece type stuff there was no charge to set up. Essentially they charge for anything that requires extra work outside of your package. For example, if you have the Ultimate Package they will put programs on the chairs at the ceremony since they are already setting them up and will set up simple table decorations since they already have to set the tables.
  18. Hey girl! Congrats on the weight loss so far!!! That is a HUGE accomplishment. As for fitting into a size 10… Who cares what the number on the dress says?!?!?! As long as you feel beautiful that is all that matters – and FI should support you in every way possible. Seriously, I bought a Davids Bridal size 12 at 150 lbs, I have been working out and dieting like crazy and still it still fits (no alterations needed) and I’m down to 130 lbs. Everyone’s body is different like you said so what does it matter if you have a size 000 or size 500 dress As for the future weight loss, be honest with yourself and take into account that wedding planning is stressful and hard on your work/life/planning balance. Set some realistic goals like others have mentioned and build a support system to help you reach those goals. Use this forum to vent when you want to gorge on a pound of M&Ms, use Weight Watchers to help with the food stuff, find a great women’s gym and set a routine of going. You can do anything you set your mind to! As for that dress that is taunting you in your closet, throw it in the deep dark confines of an attic and forget about it for a while. You have a whole year and might totally change your mind on what you like – I mean honestly, how many people on BDW have multiple dresses? And if you do change your mind, you can sell that puppy on ebay or on here! Good luck and we’ll all be online supporting you with whatever you do
  19. Welcome Tara and Jamaicamehappy! Swine flu stuff - You really can't worry about it because 4 months from now there could be some other virus outbreak that no one was ready for. I heard a report this morning on how Austalia is being hit with the swine flu right now since it is winter there and peak flu season. Just make sure you have travel insurance and hope for the best... same thing you would do if you were getting married where you live. Jill - I love checking things off my list!!! I thought it sounded crazy, but there is just so much to keep track of. We have 2 trips or events planned every month until the wedding so how the heck can I keep everything straight unless I am organized. My girlfriends are freaking out over planning my bachelorette party because I am the planner of the group and usually take charge of any planned events. I am glad you mentioned the music because that is next on my list of stuff. The other day FI was asking me why I was downloading so many songs lately and I totally didn't want to tell him it was for the wedding - LOL. Jamaicamehappy - Here's a quick run down of some of the discussions we have had on your questions. Make sure to do a search and you will find a ton more opinions! * Photog - it's totally your preferance and budget. But, most people are not very impressed with the resort quality and tend to hire outside. Some have checked with local photogs and worked out deals with them (think you pay for their expenses and they only charge you for prints). Or check out some of the vendors on here. They do amazing work. * OOT bags - most people do them and I really like the idea. We are not getting a ton of stuff and planning on just packing an extra bag with the OOT items. * AHR - there is probably a 50/50 divide on this topic. I probably wouldn't be doing one, but I grew up in a small town and my mom pushed it. I have not been very motivated to help with it until recently. It just seems so trivial in the grand scheme of things. Anyways, we are doing it a month after we get married and it is kind of a New Years party too. Just a simple catered BBQ and we will have pics/slideshow/video from the wedding to share with our guests. Happy Wednesday everyone!
  20. Awesome pics! I am so happy that everything worked out for you guys
