  1. Thanks for the compliment They are Guess and I was at Nordys this weekend and they still had them on the display. I don't mind going back to see if they have your size... I always need an excuse to go to the mall at lunch PM me if you want me to go look. Quote: Originally Posted by ~Karla~ That's so sweet of your mom, and good pic! Are those the Guess ones? I would focus on eating healthy. Something like the P90x meal plan or Weight Watchers that is balanced and will help you maintain and maybe even lose some weight. Thanks for the compliment Post pics of the invites so we can all oooo and ahhh over them! Good luck finding linen pants. Online shopping has been a lifesaver on cost and great finds for the guys apparel. Quote: Originally Posted by bcbride Aww that was so sweet of your mom to do that Thanks for sharing! It is getting so close, my invites came today (finally!) and can't wait to send them out and get my very first RSVP! We do have to start looking for my FI's pants for the ceremony (he is not stressed about this one bit), I am hoping there are some linen pants out there on sale. 3 more months!
  2. The pics I posted are the $99 blend. Decided to go with the blend since it holds its shape a little better than pure linen. I think it is totally your preference as either one is good quality. 3. LOL. I grew up in Texas and my parents are still there. Just last weekend my mom was crying over me not doing bridal portraits. Literally bawling. We did e-pics, I did BD pics and we have 8 hours with our photog on the wedding day for pics. I plan on getting some of just me on the wedding day so I did not see the point of doing another birdal portrait shoot. I feel bad for my mom, but I just don't want to put up a pic of me in the house... I want ones of me and FI! Good luck deciding on what you are going to do!
  4. Good call on the photogs part. I didn't even think about rain! Quote: Originally Posted by Sparkles8300 Thanks for the info. I spoke with my photographer ,who also suggested making it eariler. Where as if we had it at 5pm, if God forbid there was a shower or other delay we would be getting hitched in the dark!!! Random question, where did you girls find your wedding shoes? I have yet to find any I love and the tips of them will show with my dress so it's making it very hard for me since you can actually see them! I got my wedding dress shoes at Nordstroms and my legal day shoes at Davids Bridal. The Davids Bridal ones are dyed to match the dress sash, but then I found ones that I liked better at Nordys The Nordy ones are the ones with I Do on the bottom. Then the flip flops for when my feet start the hurt came from... I'm embarrassed to say... Wal-Mart. Total impulse buy while we were shopping for groceries, but I heart them I put all of them in the attached .ppt. Some people posted some really cute white/ivory shoes from DSW if you are looking to go that color scheme. Good luck finding something! shoes.ppt
  5. You look great both ways, but I do like the dark better. I totally know how you feel. I am a dark blonde and went natural for a long time to save $$$. But I really like my hair a little lighter so I budgeted into the wedding You will look amazing either way!!
  6. Totally. The pic I attached is from my BD shoot. I can't wait to take some wedding pics with the shoes Quote: Originally Posted by Chicken764 They are your something blue and they look gorgeous on a photo with your feet up!
  7. Hey winter brides! Anyone else getting more excited as the 3 month countdown approaches?!?! Thought I would give you girls a laugh this morning. My mom put my engagement announcement in the small town newspaper and I honestly feel like such a hick. I'm actually surprised the newspaper even has a website. LOL oh well you gotta love em ) The Herald-Zeitung
  8. No prob. I think that Jess and Jill are at Dreams at the same time so maybe they could pass it off by hand. But I haven't talked to Jill and Jess is on vacay so no speculations yet I'm going to San Fran and then wine tasting from there for my bachelorette. So excited!!!
  9. They are fabulous! You are so lucky to have them shoot the wedding and TTD. Can't wait to see those pics too
  10. Hi girls. I attached the 09 wedding info from Rebeca that includes a picture of the World Terrace reception setup. Although it is next to the buffet the reception would be plated. It is also not as private as the beach or Las Palmas. WEDDING INFORMATION 2009.doc
  11. sounds like fun... something else for me to do instead of work jk
  12. What a great post Christie! I don't have one with my mom but yours is super cute. My FMIL actually went with me when I picked up my dress so I'll have to see if there is a picture of us when I get home.
  13. No place cards for me. We are expecting about 60 people and will only have the table for Bride/Groom and our immediate family marked as reserved. The other tables will be marked Groom's Family, Groom's Family Friends, and Friends of the Bride & Groom.
  14. Oooo he is going to love those pics! Quote: Originally Posted by Future Mrs. Griffith Like I am using my fiance's army jacket from when he was in the military. Nothing like a half naked girl in a uniform
  15. Hi Ash! I don't want any drama, just thought it would be a fun thing to do. I'm going to start another thread for the starfish thing
  16. That stinks. But IMO a trip to DR is way better than prom!
  17. White linens are included. They just charge you if you want colored linens. The starfish passing idea is that you could put a starfish in your bouquet for your something borrowed, something blue. We would post the list of people waiting for the starfish and the brides next to each coordinate with each other to get it passed on. 18. Lol thanks for making me chuckle this morning
  19. Great addition Amanda! I totally had the guy who did my makeup bronze up my shoulders to cover some tan lines! 20. Those etsy cards are so cute. Jess - your thread makes me want to send mine out again! Thanks for posting your idea!!
  21. My BD shoot was last month. It was a total blast. Definitely get your hair and makeup done and use outfits that have some meaning for added spice. For example, I wore my veil in one and the sash from my wedding dress in another - totally scandalous Good luck!!
