The people who don't internet probably gossip enough with other guests so they will figure out where you are registered anyways
  2. Tacky! Tacky! Etiquette says to not even put gift/registry info on the invites because it takes away from the actual event. Leaving "no boxed gifts" up to interpretation of the guests sounds like a terrible idea! That just makes the couple look bad. I think you should buy a blender, take it out of the box and wrap it up as the gift
  3. Wow your pics are going to be amazing! You looked beautiful. Congrats!
  4. I think it is wonderful that you are giving your guests all of this info. And I heart the people images - soooo cute!
  5. Hahahaha Nadine ~ I had just copied from everyone elses posts too. Luv this forum!!!
  6. Yea! We got the mixer off our registry last weekend and one of our friends is insisting that I make these cookies. I think it is a sign that this thread got bumped. Thanks Jess
  7. I have some cheap coordinating frames that I am going to use. I think I am going to the use docs attached, but I am not "in love" with them. Let me know if anyone has any suggestions. (the guest book is a coffe table book of pics of Paris) The fortune bouquet is something I found on Martha Stewart. It is a bouquet made of several different mini bouquets tied together with 1 ribbon. Each mini bouquet has a fortune tied to it. When you toss the bouquet, untie the ribbon and all of the mini bouquets spread out and several people get a piece of the bouquet. I am going to ask all of the ladies to come out for the toss and have someone tell the legend of the bouquet toss. I printed the fortunes on left over vellum from my invites and bought flowers from the dollar tree. The fortunes I used are also attached. Fortune Bouquets Bouquet Toss In ancient times, it was believed that a Bride was especially lucky on her wedding day. Guests would sometimes tear at her dress for a souvenir piece of good luck to take home. The Bride's tossing of her bouquet grew from her desire to offer a good luck souvenir, and prevent guests from bothering her (and her dress!) during her reception. I will fill one out per bag and make up amounts so that FI has $300 worth of stuff and I have $300 worth of stuff. I am also putting a note explaining the contents with each receipt. Both are attached. Quote: Originally Posted by J&MWedding you making your receipts just out of blank receipt books from Office Max and writing your own amounts? Thanks Autumn! Hmmm... I haven't even begun to tackle this! I am thinking that I will send in the songs, but also have them on an ipod as a back up. I was thinking an hour of dinner music (slower love song feel) and then 3 hours sounds good for the dancing music. I figure the DJ can mix in a couple of his own songs if needed. 9. We are going to play in a kickball tournament with 2 of our teams and we figured why not get married while we are there?!?! We rented a big limo, got a case of champagne, some Vegasy outfits and are doing the drive-thru at the Little White Wedding Chapel. I know that most people think this takes the "special-ness" out of the real wedding, but we are calling the event "Legally Not Single" and it gives some of our friends that can't come to the DW a chance to see us sign some papers. We aren't changing names, bank accounts or even telling people we are married, but I am still excited. Besdies, the DW is what the bride and groom make it to be! The strange thing about this week is that I don't feel stressed, but I have gained 5 lbs which always happens when I do get stressed. Ugh! FI loses weight and I always gain - booo! Anyways here is the mini-inspiration board I put together. I want to share this stuff with my friends but I am afraid they will start thinking of Vegas as the real wedding if I do. So you girls get to be my outlet ) I'll post some real pics tonight if I can remember. Orange gerbera daisy hair flower that I made (Uh yeah, I couldn't find any at the store becuase they are out of season - who knew fake flowers had seasons. So I pulled one out of an arrangement at home then glued some bling and a clip on it.) Birdcage veil from etsy. Davids Bridal shoes that I had dyed to match my wedding dress ribbon. But then I found better shoes to wear in Mexico so I decided to wear these in Vegas. Orange orchid bouquet and boutonniere that I made. (The flowers came from the dollar tree and will probably get lost somewhere in Vegas) Betsey Johnson Bye Bye Love dress that I swear looks like an 80s prom dress from Can't Buy Me Love. (I took off the belt) I got it when the store was having a buy 1 get 1 free sale plus the summer stuff was already on sale: 2 dresses for $200! FI is wearing a pinstripe blazer with a purple lining and his trusty pair of G-Stars. White french cuff shirt and cufflinks that match his wedding band. The cufflinks are titanium with black diamonds and he is dying to wear them. (Yep he is totally metro but won't admit it) Quote: Originally Posted by J&MWedding Autumn, this weekend?! wow! are you guys going on a vegas trip alone, or are you bringing friends? little chapel? have fun! enjoy this week! congrats! vegas_outfits.ppt
  10. What a great idea. I think your guests will get a kick out of seeing who picked what song...
  11. Your shower sounds awesome Jill. Can't wait to see some pics Jess hope you had fun at yours too! We're doing the legal stuff this weekend in Vegas. Only 5 more days of being "legally" single
  12. I love the polka dot outfit! You are smokin and your FI is totally going to be speechless!!!
  13. Oh yeah ~ I forgot to say that the petal aisle runner was so awesome. And really made a statement in the pics. And was wondering how you did the wine... did you go to one of those make your own wine places or just put DIY labels on store bought wine?
  14. Yael I can't even imagine how you pulled of this amazing wedding in such a short amount of time! I really love the flower centerpieces and I really want to do the whiteboard guest book now. You and everything about the wedding was so beautiful. Congrats again )
  15. K'osh ~ I love the name I used that same bride and groom graphic on our vistaprint pre-wedding brochures! That sign turned out sooooo cute. It will definitely provide a chuckle for your guests. Thanks for sharing!
  16. That was so cool of your family! Congrats on your fast approaching day!!!
  17. I bought the same ones had that fear when they arrived all stuck together and barely able to open!!! But tried it out like KittenHeart and everything fit. Phew!
  18. Yeppers Getting them from the local grocery store. I am going to have them iced with orange and green icing and then was going to make cardstock cut outs of my logo to put on each one. But I really think the umbrellas will be soooo much cuter! Yea for wedding cupcakes!!! Quote: Originally Posted by Meyer2010 Are you doing cupcakes at your AHR? I'm doing cupcakes!!! 20. I was just thinking the same thing Erica! Maybe I will make them and put one on each cupcake at the AHR...
