  1. Awww sweetie I am so sorry to hear about your sister. I will keep you and your family in my prayers. Take care of yourself!!
  2. Safe travels sweetie!!! Enjoy every second you have with your friends, family and new hubby (o:
  3. Thanks! I always have good intentions of working out while on vacation, but they seem to disappear as soon as I hear mimosa for breakfast
  4. Great advice Mishka! We picked Dec. 5 because of the weather and the travel price. Our range was actually really close to the 12/2-12/14 that Miska recommended. It is after Canadian/American Thanksgiving and before Christmas/New Years so the travel costs were very reasonable. And of course the weather was just gorgeous!
  5. Allyson779 where you? We are all totes swooning over this gorgeous wedding of yours! Mishka ~ That chuppah was just so lovely. You have such a great eye and special touch. Thanks for sharing
  6. Oh I forgot... did you see Mishka's blog about Allyson's wedding? Seriously, how romantic was that chuppah?!?!?! http://www.bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/thread/65531/blog-allyson-jason-s-glamorous-beach-wedding
  7. Aprilmay you will not regret having the sound system. You can use it on your balcony, at the beach and even at the pool too! What a great attitude simplnsweet Happy Friday y'all!!
  8. Wow! Look at all of the weddings coming up! I hope all of you are having a blast with your final planning Our flight to Cancun on 11/25 was cancelled so we extended our trip one more day and will be there from 11/24-11/29. I'm going to have to see if I can sneak a peek at Lisa's big day!! I was hoping that someone who has been to resort knew if they offered any yoga classes? Or if the beach is nice to run on? I'm wondering if I should even waste precious luggage space with work out clothes ;-p
  9. Thank you adventurelovers I truly don't know where the last year has gone... being married just makes the time fly by! I am so happy that you found some inspiration in my wedding. Happy Planning!!!
  10. Good morning everyone! I am so sorry to hear about Rebeca leaving, but I know Dreams PV will make sure that you still have a wonderful wedding. I sent a twitter note to Dreams and they confirmed that you should use the [email protected] and the [email protected]. I know this has been said before, but make sure to print out every communication you have had with the resort. I needed it even when Rebeca was there. I know it may feel OCD, but it is better to be prepared Have wonderful weddings simplnsweet and JenDen!!!
  11. Everything is just amazing! You are going to have a fantabulous wedding. Hearts to your little puppers in the bouquet pics Enjoy every second of your trip and the Big Day!!!!

  13. I totes missed the contest this month Thanks for the noms! CONGRATS Di and Sara!!!!
  14. Hi y'all! Just wanted to pop over here and give a review of Paloma's Nest. She made some Christmas gifts for me and is just a wonderful person to work with. { She's that brilliant mind behind those ring bearer bowls } I would totally trust her to make something special for a wedding. Definitely recommend her work http://www.etsy.com/shop/palomasnest?ref=seller_info
  15. Hi Jan2011! I didn't use the hotel photog. I used Nate Broshot and highly recommend his work. We did use the hotel videographer and were really pleased that we did get the video. Have you joined the talks over on the Dreams Puerto Vallarta thread? There is a TON of great info over there! Happy planning

  17. Guys are so strange sometimes. They want to act all macho, but then want to nitpick over the girliest things. I'm sorry your FI is having to deal with this, it sounds like the friends are just immature. Makes me wonder why they are even getting married if it is all about the people watching them get married instead of the bride and groom. Besides, the "destination" groom gets to spend several days with his guests while the "regular" groom gets to spend maybe 5 minutes at dinner with his guests... who wins now ;-p OK, I'll stop being catty. Ignore the nonsensical comments and strengthen your united front like Monique said. Remember what goes around comes around so take a positive spin on everything and your wedding will turn out perfect PS... The guys in our wedding fought over the flip flops they were going to wear. Yep. Seriously.
  18. Welcome to BDW! That stinks about your FI changing his mind. I guess the question is, do you want to get married on the Strip? Make sure you are compromising to get the day that both of you want If you do a search there are a bunch of recommendations for casino weddings. I've been to a couple at Caesars, Mandalay, and I see a lot of people picking the garden at Flamingo. All of them look gorgeous. We are actually going to a wedding this weekend where we are staying at Flamingo and the couple is paying for a shuttle to run people back and forth to their wedding that is somewhere off the Strip. So many options! Happy planning
  19. Hi Lindsay! Welcome to BDW Mandalay is my fave casino and place to stay in Vegas. A shark reef wedding sounds so awesome. I would ask your wedding coordinator (WC) to see what they recommend for hair and makeup. Or search the forum for some independant artists that could come to your room that morning. Also, there are a ton of threads about carrying your dress on planes. Overall you put it in it's bag and carry it with you. Most airplanes don't have closets anymore so you just lay it on top of the overhead baggage. Check with your airline for their policies on carry-ons because they are all different. Searches on the forum will be your best friend for most of your questions. Happy planning!
  20. I think it's a great idea! The clay flowers are so unique. With statement jewelry being so popular right now, I think these would resemble more of a bracelet and look great in pictures. Go for it!
  21. Amanda you did a fab job on these! I would love getting one as a guest
  22. I def agree about assigned seats... people have a tendency to sit one chair apart if they don't know the person and you end up with single chairs (like what happened to L&J). It's not a big deal to ask them to move, but just avoid the situation to make it easy on you And making the seat numbers in Spanish would be so cute! I just worked on a wedding similar in size and set up to yours and the bride used signature drinks with personalized umbrellas as escort cards. She had an entry table with the drinks all arranged and then each umbrella had the guest name and seat number. Then she tied a coordinating wine glass tag with each seat number on the glasses at each seat. Hopefully she will send me some pics that I can share.
