  1. I finished my maracas! I used Mishka's designs as inspiration and really wouldn't have even attempted them if I wasn't on this forum. So they are those tiny ones from OTC, but I love mini-things and think they turned out pretty cute. I did them early so I wasn't up the night before I left painting the little suckers...ahem... cougs... thanks for the advice They are going to go on the seats at the ceremony. Enjoy the pics! Painting in progress My amazing un-bridesmaids helping out and drinking b33r Lots of the little guys The finished product
  2. I am using a receipt template and just making up prices so that the stuff I have equals less than $300 and the stuff FI has equals less than $300. 3. I love it! You are going to have a KW! ~ kitchen wedding Quote: Originally Posted by J&MWedding Jennifer congrats!!!!! We just found out great news! He goes in and gets sworn in and I pay only $35 and he can marry us right before we take off for our flight in our kitchen! how romantic!
  4. Yea for birthdays! I bet your year has flown by! FI's neice turns one on Dec 1 and we are going to have a mini-party for her in Mexico since we can't go to her party next weekend in Texas. Kinda sux living away from family, although I'd probably end up pulling my hair out if we lived close to the FBIL OK, now Quote: Originally Posted by creoletexan My son turns one on Dec. 4!!
  5. Great job! I made mini ones for my best friends rehearsal bouquet. Just used tissue paper from the shower and attached a pipecleaner stem. It turned out really cute and she has it on display still in her office

    Hello!!

Congrats! You will find a ton of great info on this forum to help you plan
  7. Welcome to the forum. I hope it will help you decide on what type of wedding you want
  8. My dad is a cowboy and is wearing what he is comfortable in ~ his dress jeans, short sleeve linen shirt and his dress boots... I can't imagine him in anything else. FFIL is wearing khakis and a short sleeve linen short. No one will remember what they wear so let them be comfy. As long at it looks decent and doesn't take away from the pics or the moment no one will be looking at them!
  9. We just took FIs suit to the dry cleaners and it turned out so great (especially after being all stuffed into the tiny envelope they send it in and then hanging in the guest closet for a couple of months) Only 19 days until he gets to wear it )
  10. Why... mainly because it is an excuse to buy a new clutch Otherwise I'm planning on putting chapstick and makeup touch ups in it just to have for the reception.
  11. Great thread and you did an amazing job with all of the details. I'm sorry about your grandma. I hope you have a fabulous wedding
  12. Thanks for making me giggle! FI and I are closet nerds (we both have computer degrees, work in IT, have 5 computers at home, but are still pretty social). That article is a riot )
  13. What a great story! It is awesome that you have pro pics of the proposal
  14. Fabulous Jess!!! Your color combo is so pretty and unique. You and Paul are going to have an awesome wedding. I so wish I could head to PV a couple days early to catch it ) Thanks for sharing and congrats!!!
  15. I just voted! I grew up in Texas and totally understand how big football is in high school
  16. Holy shitters Sparkles! That is a ton of stuff to carry on. You are one awesome packer to carry all of that with you. Again I'm a slacker and in the same boat with Nadine... I know we are going to carry on our wedding clothes and rings, but ummm thats as far as I have thought about. We usually don't check so I will probably try to carry the clothes and makeup essentials with me, but check all of the other wedding stuff. If that junk get lost or broken, then it wasn't meant to be. Oh see, I just planned something. I'll take that as my packing list My bach party was in Cali wine country in September. It was a total blast and I'm planning on putting pics in my planning thread.
  17. Thanks for the review! We are using Nate for our wedding and it makes me so happy to hear such great things about him. Congrats Mrs!

  19. Hehehehe we have one of those blow beer pong tables for our pool. Everyone loves it and keeps asking if we are going to bring it to Mexico. It's kinda heavy so probably not, but there will definitely be flip cup and quarters played sometime during the trip Quote: Originally Posted by alkoch I want to get one of these blow up beer pong tables for the pool Poolside Pong | Inflatable Floating Beer Pong Table
