I think your menu sounds great. We also always have pecan pie and sweet potato casserole. Sweet Potato Casserole Mash up sweet potatoes (usually just the ones from the can) Mix in brown sugar and butter Top with marshmellows Bake on 350 until the marshmellows are lightly browned on top

Jess I'm so excited for you! I keep stalking the DD FB waiting for a glimpse of your stuff You are going to have such a fabulous wedding!!! I had a watch stolen out of a safe at the Riu in Cabo. And I was at a wedding in Kansas City where the rings were stolen out of the best mans tux garmet bag while it was in valet. People suck in all countries so it is better to error on the side of caution. Probably a good idea to find some good hiding spots in your luggage (maybe even a spot that you can lock with a personal lock) because everyone in the hotel has the key or code to the in room safes. Really the dishonest people are just looking for quick wins of things to take, so just be smart about your stuff!

Do I have to bring my future MIL dress shopping?
autjo replied to giraffexx's topic in Wedding Etiquette, Traditions, to dos
You don't "have" to invite her. I had a couple of different shopping trips with different people to get unbiased, uninterrupted opinions. I actually found the dress shopping by myself, but wanted the experience of sharing some of the fun with my mom, girlfriends, aunt and FMIL. I do love my FMIL and she only has boys so this is her only chance to go dress shopping with a daughter and she thought it was the nicest gesture that I invited her. In all honesty do what makes you happy!! It's your dress and your day ) -
The best workout DVDs I have ever owned- P90X
autjo replied to rodent's topic in Beauty, Exercise, Diet
I did P90X and still do some of the workouts here and there to maintain. I lost 25 pounds and have kept it off (started in Jan 09, so almost a year for me). I did not do the diet in the beginning, but did watch was I eating and cut out pop, fast food, etc. Then started the diet when I felt like I was ready. To get that flat tummy you really need to do the diet. The program works! -
Heather you look amazing in every photo! Great review and great job Fer!!!

Mug/Cup actual costs??
autjo replied to bholthof's topic in Wedding Registry, Wedding Gift Bags, and OOT bags
I got 250 22oz stadium cups for $150 total so $.60/cup . Unfortunately the place I got them from doesn't ship to Canada, but I'm sure you won't have any problems finding what you want! http://bestdestinationwedding.com/fo...um-cups-49427/ I was also at the Dollar Tree last night and saw that they still had the travel mugs with the insert that you can design. I think that looks great with your logo and is a totally frugal option -
I'm totally going to put all of my clothes in the planning thread. That way it will make me narrow it down to what I really like and need to take. Another thing that I always do for trips is pick 1 main color and bring stuff that coordinates with that. That way you can mix and match outfits and it really cuts down on what you bring. For this trip everything matches with white and orange with brown shoes/purses, etc. Obviously the wedding colors As for luggage I'd like to limit it to 3 checked bags and 3 items to carry on. We are planning on checking 1 lg, 1 med, 1 sm suitcase + a ski duffel (only if needed). Then we'll carry my dress, FI's suit and other hanging stuff in a tri-fold, my rolling duffel + FI's carry-on (only if needed). Also still debating on whether or not to bring our nice camera. I'm taking the point and shoot for sure, but we have a DSLR that takes amazing pics. I would want to go take pics of the church, town, malecon, etc. But I just don't know how much time we will have to do that stuff (or if we would even want to). That also adds another back-pack into the mix. Jill ~ You are going to be at the pool or the beach most of the time! Forget the shoes!

I think that sounds fabulous! I love that he wanted to pick the clothing (actually I have been amazed at how much the guys care about that stuff)! -
is it normal to have no idea...
autjo replied to Melissa&Todd's topic in Destination Wedding Dresses, Wedding Attire & rings
Yep it's normal. Go try on a bunch of dresses, even ones you may not like. You will be surprised what you may actually want for your dress. Have fun -

I think black looks great at DWs. Maybe consider a compromise with a black linen suit... -

PM me if you want some help Quote: Originally Posted by nicitica Autumn, I wish I would have read this before I made my wedding logo oval. You are unbelievable. So, you are giving 2 maracas to each guest right? Adorable!

Thanks for all of the sweet compliments everyone! I so love doing this kind of junk and hope it inspires someone out there The tags are stickers on paper. I have basically gone nutso with the whole sticker thing ~ my name is Autumn and I'm addicted to making stickers for my wedding. I made a .ppt template that has the circles and then I put all kinds of stuff inside, print on the full sheet of sticker paper then punch out with a 1.5" circle punch. I also have a 2" punch that looks like an ornament. Punch out a bunch of those, plop on the sticker, punch a hole at the top, attach with ribbon ~ and voila ~ instant tag! Quote: Originally Posted by alkoch Autumn - I love them! I just finished mine too. We did the same technique with the holes in a piece of wood, it worked great! I freaked out because I thought I needed more and OTC isn't selling them anymore like you said. Congrats I love how you did the initials - I am not that ambitious! Mine are just solid colors- how did you do the tags are they stickers? Patti, we are getting so close! And oh my, the wedding room is getting a little out of control with all the projects. My planning thread is on the to do list so hopefully I can post it next week! It makes me so happy to hear about people having fun at Dreams. Eek I can't wait to get there!
