  1. It was hard to stay focused after the DW! But don't worry it will go by so fast you won't even realize where the time went. Thanks! Cupcakes were something I really wanted, but were too pricey for our DW budget. Getting them from the grocery store was such a great deal. Quote: Originally Posted by KarenM Love it Autumn!! 2. If you read through the thread all of your questions are answered. They are linen suits just like the ones you find in the department stores. 3. Centerpieces ~ Pre-Loved Goods I borrowed glassware, used stuff from the DW, bought some green gingham to make some tablecloths for a BBQ-like feel and used shells as the main focal point. Also the submerged flowers were pulled off of my Vegas bouquet. I love re-purposing stuff! http://bestdestinationwedding.com/fo...-single-50555/ Attire ~ left overs from other wedding events! I was planning on wearing my wedding dress and then changing into a BCBG party dress, but my mom nearly drove me crazy while we were setting up and I was exhausted while trying to get ready. So I just wore the BCBG dress, hair flower and bird cage veil from our legal day, and shoes from the DW. I’m kind of in love with the BCBG dress. DH wore jeans and a Robert Graham shirt that was initially planned for the DW (I wore the same shirt in my BD shoot). And somehow his sport coat was conveniently “left at home”. And some pics of the “sweat shop” that helped me assemble the mini-umbrellas and water bottles when I got to Texas. Thanks for reading!
  4. Cupcakes from HEB ~ Texas Based Grocery Store Instead of another wedding cake we used cupcakes from the grocery store. I made custom mini-umbrellas for each one and got a ton of compliments on the idea. Not to mention that cupcakes are so low maintenance and budget friendly! Instructions and template: http://bestdestinationwedding.com/fo...brellas-49791/ Schwabs BBQ ~ Local Caterer We used a little local BBQ restaurant and they were so reasonable to work with. We served brisket, sausage, beans, potato salad and iced tea. Schwabs is so “mom & pop†that they don’t even have a web-site and we paid the day after the reception. Gotta love those small towns Water Bottles ~ Costco & Custom Labels I wanted custom water bottles for the DW, but didn’t want to hassle with traveling with them. So I made custom labels for the AHR. I <3 them.
  5. Our wedding season ended with a Texas-sized AHR. Granted this party really was for my parents, we had a good time and was a great excuse to put together a slideshow of all of our wedding events. Enough babbling, this is my AHR planning/review/pics thread! The Landmark Lofts ~ New Braunfels, TX I love this location because it has some history behind it. It was a hydroelectric power plant built in the 1920s and has been turned into loft apartments with a great little clubhouse for events. It’s right on the river and so many of the older guests loved to be able to see the renovated building. History - The Landmark
  6. Hi girls! I made some of the umbrellas to put on cupcakes at the AHR. I like the way they turned out... and I love cupcakes
  7. I think the English beige would look really nice with an ivory dress. But why don't you get some samples to see if you like it. DH jumped in the pool in his pants and they turned out fine after getting cleaned... well except for where the pocket ripped after one of our friends cannonballed on top of him! Quote: Originally Posted by AlexsBride msmoodyr, how do you think the English beige would look with an ivory dress? Or should I go with the Beige (like Autumns hubby) I want a bit of contrast but not a lot. Im so excited about these suits!! Almost as much as my own dress. lol. I asked FI if he would let me order a custom suit from India and he said "if thats what you want me to wear, that's what I will wear!" We are doing a TTD session as well the day after the wedding. Not sure about getting this suit wet. I am thinking about getting him a pair of those cheap linen/cotten pants from Old Navy to wear for that. What do you guys think? Yeah DH hates wearing suits, says he can't move in them. Wearing linen was a must for him. Hope it works out for you Quote: Originally Posted by butterfly4kathy2 Got my fiance measured last night and we are going to put our order in soon. 8. Ooops... my bad Zsa Zsa is such a cute name!
  9. They turned out great Karen! You're guests are going to love them. and thanks for the shout out )
  10. Carolina ~ I printed the luggage tags at home on letter sized sheets of paper and then cut them. Then I put one of our logo stickers on it. The stickers I also printed at home on letter sized sheets of sticker paper and cut them out with a 1.5" circle punch. But, a lot of people buy business cards from vistaprint for the inserts. The case came from ebay seller eBay Store - gcishoponline: Sew-On Velcro Colors, Card Holder Other, Neck Strap Lanyards. And the loops came from Pouch and Coil Luggage Tag Loops -Worm loops for your luggage Quote: Originally Posted by Brooklyn Carolina Autumn, Where did you get your luggage tags. How did you make them? 12. Congrats sweetie! Everything looked fabulous. Thanks for such a great review and how cute of your family to decorate your house
  13. DH was comfortable in the suit and sweated a little bit since it was 90% humidity. But that's going to happen regardless of what you are wearing. The $99 suit is a linen cotten blend that breathes, is really light weight and isn't as wrinkly as pure linen. The jacket is lined, but we didn't get the pants lined. I can't imagine anything wedding-like that would be any cooler than linen pants. Besides, it's your wedding and the guys have to wear what you tell them to Quote: Originally Posted by butterfly4kathy2 I was running this suite by the guys in the wedding party and they swear up and down that they are going to sweat like crazy. 14. I measured B according the instructions on the website and then compared them to a jacket that he likes to wear and his khakis that he wears to work. The only thing that was a little off was in his shoulders. And he really isn't broad shouldered, so advice from a tailor probably would have been a good idea. LOL I didn't think people could actually find their nearly hidden customer gallery. But, yeah they are a vendor on the forum and asked me if they could use it. I am supposed to send them some better pics, but keep forgetting. Quote: Originally Posted by carolina24 hey autumm did you know that one of your pics is on their website?! 15. Nikki I love how all of your DIY stuff fit perfectly into Mishka's creations. It looks like you had a fabulous wedding. Congrats! And Mishka what a great job! You are so very talented
  16. Thanks Nikki! I'm off to check out your reviews and stuff
  17. LOL. It did fit him well and he was really comfortable in it. I am actually glad we didn't buy him an expensive suit because after we jumped into the pool, most of our guests followed. All of the guys were dive bombing each other and someone jumped on DH and their foot got caught in his pocket which ended up ripping the pants. Stupd boys. 18. Thanks Melissa Tehehehe... that room was a total mess, but my un-bridesmaids cleaned it before Nate got there. And the junk on the table was an entire suit case full of "survival kit" items that one of them lugged to PV with them. That's what happens when you don't give your girlfriends things to do for the wedding like be a bridesmaid... they find other ways to help you out! Gotta love great friends! That's my new SIL wearing the dress. I'll hit her up to see where she got it. Quote: Originally Posted by KarenM Autumn!!!! These are fabulous pictures and you have so many great details!! Do you have any idea where she got that dress? I absolutely love it! thanks!
