  1. Hi Courtney! Congrats on your engagement! The Dreams resorts are amazing and have great wedding packages. My brother in law was married at Dreams Cancun and we got married at Dreams Puerto Vallarta. Do some searches for threads on Dreams and you will find a ton of information. Nov/Dec are beautiful times to get married in Mexico too. Happy planning )

    I'm New!!

Awww that is so cute Julie. Welcome to the forum and happy planning
  3. Di! This review is awesome! You are so detailed and the pics by Chris are just amazing. We're going to the Royal over Thanksgiving.... you and R should go back to celebrate your first married Thanksgiving )
  4. Welcome to the forum! Your wedding will be here before you know it. And although DWs seem easy from the outside, they are a lot of hard work, but it truly will pay off in the end. Congrats and happy planning!

Welcome to the forum! I think an early wedding will be lovely... plenty of time to spend with your guests and not worry about noise/quiet times at the resort if you have a private reception. Happy planning )
  6. We upgraded to first class on the way to Mexico so we got 2 free checked bags each. I recommend calling your airlines to see what their fees are since they seem to change on a monthly basis these days. There is a pic of all of our luggage towards the bottom of my planning thread. We took OOT stuff and some decorations, but nothing over the top... but it still filled up the back of an SUV!
  7. Way to stay positive Janine! Def look into Karen's photog - her pics turned out awesome. And the post office is just really random unless you pay $$$ to get stuff shipped express. People wonder why brides get all zilla, but they don't see the crazy stuff that other people and vendors put us through! I am so happy to hear that your inviation company is helping you out. Things will get better! PS I checked out your super cute blog and just love it
  8. The disposable cams were a complete hit at our wedding. I only gave them to the wedding party, but that was enough to get people at the swim up bar, on the water trampoline, and ziplining in the rain. It was a last minute thought so I just picked them up at Wal-Mart for $5. The funny thing is that this was the one item that Puerto Vallarta customs questioned at the airport. I had receipts but they said there was no way that cameras cost $5... so strange. Oh well, they let us through but thought I would share my experience!
  9. Congrats Tiffany and welcome to BDW. I hear that Riu is really pretty. Do some searches and check out the Bahamas thread for brides who have been there. Happy planning
  10. I was just going to ditto everyone else about Friday, but it looks like you just made a decision! Yay for Friday
  11. Yay Steph! Big hugs and best wishes on a wonderful wedding!!!
  12. Love it! You are going to have so much fun with all of those people! Thanks for sharing

    Hello

Welcome to the forum! Rome would be such an awesome place for a wedding. Happy planning!
  14. Welcome Cheryle! There are tons of great people to chat with on this forum. Enjoy BDW
  15. Hahahahahaa I'm hoping that when we have kids something changes and all of a sudden I can cook and clean LOL Quote: Originally Posted by mareW9 We've been having someone come once a month at least... 16. LOL. It doesn't get any better! We actually hired a maid to come every other week AFTER the wedding! DH hates cleaning and I hate nagging, so the $$ for a maid keeps us sane... makes us stay picked up and organized or else they can't clean. Good luck finding a great maid MysTea!
  17. Wow! You are planning your wedding in 2 months?! Amazing! You are going to love PV Welcome to the forum!
  18. You're soooo close! Welcome to the forum and enjoy your last minute planning )
  19. LOL. I was trying to emphasize that the wedding ceremony was kinda planned, but we really worked out the details for the after party Quote: Originally Posted by KarenM Autumn, you guys are hilarious! I believe there is even a thread for local PV vendors if you do a search. We used Nathan Cordova (licensetostill.com) and he does a lot of shoots for people on the forum. I know he is actually shooting a members wedding in Playa del Carmen this weekend. Picking a photog was a really hard decision in our planning. Good luck Quote: Originally Posted by tlc9b I just joined this site and am getting married at Dreams, PV on May 21, 2011. Tyler No prob! BTW... is Mishka planning your wedding? I saw a FB post from her about bride Allyson and I was wondering if that is you. 20. Dang it! My DVR didn't record the show last because it is full. Why can't it just know to erase the shows that DH saves so mine will record... JK. I checked out the website so I know who is moving on, and really the good stuff starts next week anyway. Meghan ~ I didn't watch last season because it was just too close to the one before it and I was tired of watching dancing. But good point about Billy Bell's illness and him not being able to try out again... or it might bring in that heart strings factor and get them ratings. Terrible thinking I know. Jacqui ~ I've been a hater on the new format too. They didn't really explain how it's going to work so I'm just sad that we don't get to see more people get cut. That show that determined the top 10 was always a nail biter becuase it determined who would go on tour. Now what? They all get to go? Andi ~ I'm with you on wanting to secretly be a good dancer. I would love to be able to go out dancing and not look like a dying chicken. LOL
  21. Di ~ No wonder you looked so amazing in your pics! You totally rocked that dress! And don't worry about taking a break... you're still in the honeymoon phase and deserve some down time. You should make R do the JM work outs with you when you start again LOL Quote: Originally Posted by Lady_Di We did this a month before the wedding...at first, it was hard but it got easier. We will start again on month 2 god knows when? lol. I love this workout!
  22. Jessica ~ You can def finish a P90X work out! Just tailor the workout to meet your needs I would recommend starting with the lean routine to get you into the program. Or pop in CardioX because it actually combines several of the longer workouts and gives you a good feel for the overall program if you want to start small. Really the only thing you "must" have is something for the weights and something for the pull ups - we bought resistance bands and they come with an over the door attachment and Tony shows you how to use them for pull ups. We graduated to weights and a real pull up bar once we figured out that we liked the program. A nice yoga mat and block will help as well, but not mandatory. Good luck!!
  23. I love the initials on the maracas! and those Save the Dates are a.dor.a.ble.
  24. Congrats Mishka! Everything turned out so beautiful. I so wish I could marry DH again and have you design my wedding
