I went shopping alone the first time and the second time w/my daughters...I am glad though cause I don't want a lot of ppl seeing my dress anyway and my mommy lives in another state...

Hey ladies....after all ur wonderful words/advice...I went looking again and I got my dress...yep it's all mine! this is a repost..... Morning ladies :hola: I have been dress shopping and up until now found nothing that made me dance and have that big ol cheesy grin!!! So my "paparazzi" (daughters) and I headed out for girls day out again..it was so much fun..my daughters are funny, we then went to eat and they were ready to get back home to their dog..lol... but I have pixxies..and I did find MY DRESS!!!!!!!:woohoo: NOW DRUMROLL PLEASE......INTRODUCING MY DRESS!!! I only have 2 ladies in my party..one is doing more (planning, helping, etc) than the other so I plan on having a spa morning w/them after breakfast (day of wedding) and then my MoH who has been doing most of the work..I plan on sending her something later to her house where it will be more private....

ladies I searched before posting...I am wondering how u guys decided which drink for the hangover kit..not sure if everyone likes Gatorade..me personally I don't...so far I have for choices..these are single packet items.... gatorade propel fitness water tang?..didn't know they still made it and I was thinking Crystal light for the water bottles that will be in the room when guests arrive fyi: the hangover kits are gonna be placed in the oot bags... any advice is helpful...TIA Shannon

Great thread...I hadn't even thought about an engagement party but I would like to have one moreso for our families to meet. My mom came down recently and met with FI's mom. I don't want to put my family through the expense of traveling here (I'm from St. Louis) and then saving for our wedding as well. If I do one I will send the invite but not expect ppl to come. I am thinking it will be mostly for our friends here. More than likely it will be a bbq/cookout event here at our house.

I agree as well I am not telling ppl we are gonna be in Vegas for a week..most know the wedding is Saturday and are coming in either thu/fri & lvng Sun...we are going from tue-tue...so they should be long gone... My sil even told me don't worry about seeing her & my brother till it's time to say I Do..cause they will be doing their own thing..lol! Vegas is big enough to get lost & besides we are switching hotels after the wedding & nobody knows which one..lol!

Thankfully I haven't had ppl ask...#1 I haven't even told a lot of my co-workers I am getting married..and obviously all of us can't take off at the same time to go...and as far as family...I went with immediate and those I have seen/talked with within the past year...no need for those uncles, aunts, cousins, etc..that I don't talk with all the time. If anyone wants to come they are welcome because like others we are not paying for their expenses and Vegas is a little cheaper... those who didn't get an invite are getting special invites to view the ceremony via the net!! Heck my mom is going only because she is not a big fan of flying... dont feel obligated to explain yourself..simply let them know it's for family/close friends and leave it there...some are gonna be offended no matter what!
