P.S. with the 2010 prices we were able to keep it just under 5,000 with 12 extra ppl for cocktail hour and the silver menu...this isn't including the dj though...fyi...there was a 150 dollar fee for set up since I had brought so many decorations and lanterns to be hung, but they did everything just the way I wanted! there was also a 150 dollar fee for set up for more than 20 guests on top of the extra you are already paying for each person which was stupid in my opinion! there was other ridiculous stuff like that, but we also paid just undder 3000 for our week trip there including flight, but we recieved money back through our travel agent who booked with continental and every person of our wedding party that booked through her we recieved 100 bucks or something like that:)

You know I wish I could tell you, but actually Natalia hooked us up with the dj they contract with through the resort and I totally relied on her the DAY OF!! I have no idea what his name was or anything, but he brought extra lighting which was really helpful even with all my lit up lanterns I brought! He also had every song we wanted for the special dances, and they were pretty unique. He played top 20's and some oldygoodys for our parents. Email natalia and she would know. He was 245/ hour which was pretty resonable compared to the states!?!

girls...will write review soon!! Just got back from wedding on 7/31/10:) Everything was aMAZING!! I struggled with if I should do the free package or the ultimate and it is a much better deal with the ultimate even with the 12 extra ppl we paid for!! Totally worth it!! The resort photographer and videographer were AMAZING and totally took their time to do a wonderful job and catch the sunset lighting with all our pix:) We worked with Natalia and she was totally in control and took care of EVERYTHING WE needed!! I brought down so many decorations nad chair bows and she put it all together for us and made it happen!! Even the do it yourself lights I made worked out great and they used them all in our lanterns I brought down!!! the reception was perfect!! Our parents surprised us with a dj, originally we thought we would just use our own ipod, but it was totally worth it because we had extra lighting and didnt have to worry about the songs!! He was pretty cheap too!! Natalia the day of the wedding got him hired and there on time!! Dinner was amazing!! We picked the silver menu since we had 12 extra ppl and it was perfect!! It was absolutely my DREAM wedding come to life!!! It was beautiful and secluded from everyone on the beach!! I am so happy as to how it went and thank you to everyoone who helped me get ideas about decor and invites and etc!! Everyone was impressed and it was absolutely beautiful!! if you can, try to get your wedding time at 6 pm because the sunset is right about that time and the lighting is amazing and it is not as hot as it would be eduring the day!! Thanks girls...any questions I will be happy to answer!! all of our guests weree impressed and had an amazing time....even after the 1.5 hour drive from the airport to the hotel....totally worth it!! cheers; )

thank you so much for you wonderful review!! So helpful!! How many people can sit at each table? Did you have assigned seating with the namecards, or did you just have the namecards all sitting together? Thanks for your help! -

Took is a good couple hours to get there, but the bus provided food and drink, and played movies both ways. I can't remember exactly how much it cost, so I don't want to quote you a price- but we used the tour set up at the resort- it was so easy. When you first walk into the lobby- hang a left- and there is a little space where they set up the tours for you. It was an awesome day, the most beautiful thing. Also if you don't want to go all the way to chichen itza- you can catch a cab to the Tulum Ruins, equally beautiful and it's only about a 10 min. drive down the road =) that was only a couple bucks. Thanks sooo much That helps!!! We are soo excited!! Also, did you have a rehersal and if so when was it and do I need to talk to her about that now so i can let my wedding party know, or should I just wait till we get there and have that first meeting:) Thanks girly!

Thank you so much for your review...i have been debating the packages. We were planning on going with the most expensive, but after reading your review and calculating how much extra it is going to be...it may not be worth it! We are going to have close to 50 ppl there...Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!! thank you! -

I saw a beautiful set up on Starlitk's by the pool, but not sure which one it is, and which pool is the one with the arch walkway? We are having 42 guests so what would be the best option? 3) I don't think we are having a DJ. Just bringing the ipod...i have seen some girls do that and it worked out great. Can I have music as I walk down the BEACH:) to my hubby? 4) How do we set up the Ipod...should I bring my own BOSE docking station...it's pretty loud...? Or do they have something I can use and what would be best? I want to avoid ALL extra or hidden costs as possible because we are ALSO having a Stateside reception which is enlarging our budget!! thanks ladies:) Love this forum!! Love all of you...and can't wait for the Oct 10th wedding pix and review post!!

If you need to cut down more than that, you could have your reception in the buffet restaurant. A few brides have done that and have been happy with the results. Another suggestion would be to not have a cocktail hour (if you are having one). Just tell all your guests to meet you at one of the bars and take advantage of the all-inclusive benefits of the resort. It's pretty much the same thing except that you won't have servers just for your group. P.S. Thank you so much Sunbride!!

To Angruck and Joanna, Ladies...thank you so much for your info!! So with this option of having the two entrees....how much is that extra per person....I assume it inludes 20pp and then you pay an extra price per person...So is this entree option allowing you to still have your reception poolside or on the patio...it is really important to us to have our guests enjoy the sunset while we enjoy dinner so we really wanted to have our reception outdoors. I have been talking to ALL 3 wedding planners and they have never really mentioned this option! If you can give me all the info you have on this option for dinner, instead of paying the $55-65 extra pp that would help us out sooo much!! Thanks Girls!!

Girls...i need some help!! We are planning our reception and we are going to have 42 guests estimated at this time. We can't afford to pay the extra $55-65 per extra person above 20 and were wondering if you guys had any suggestions on what we can do to eliminate costs!!?? We might want to include that in some of our reception entertainment...any suggestions, thoughts or rebuttles? Thanks ladies...this has been so helpful!!

We went with cotton pants from Banana republic, not quite brown and not quite tan, and a shirt from there as well, that has cuffs built in to roll the shirt up to the elbows. It looks really sharp, and dressy enough, yet casual. I find that as long as you buy good quality clothing, even if it is casual, it will still look classy enough to be beside such a wonderful dress! So what exactly is the style number for this shirt w/ the built in rollup sleeves...exactly what I was thinking...tell me more about the pants too:) Thanks for your help!
