Heres my dress! I got it online from Nordstrom for $178! woo hoo Its an Oleg Cassini. The online picture did the dress NO JUSTICE! Its beautiful with intricate beading.

I heard they are right next to each other (ok, with a nudist hotel in the middle lol) and the rooms at Sensatori are cheaper and I know my friends would rather stay there.

I sent my invitations out in August and have RSVP by January 15th. I guess it doesn't really matter if people RSVP by then or not, but we wanted no excuses with the "cost factor". I also sent out Save the dates for our local reception so that guests who were not invited to the wedding, knew that they were invited to something. I did not invite my aunts or uncles or cousins and a lot of close friends too to Mexico so this way I thought it might save some hurt feelings. Right now I am trying to decide if I should get my 3 tier cake w/ fresh flowers I want or stick with the dumb little free one since my meal plan involves dessert. Its almost $550. I would like to start writing my brochure & planning the excursion (zip lining preferably) and our rehearsal dinner which is really just a catamaran cruise! I am also trying to think about showers and bachelorette parties. Do I really want everyone to travel to those plus my wedding? Whats everyone else doing? I don't live in my hometown anymore, and my friends and family are all over the place.

When i looked at the weather, August did not look that much different than January b/c you are so much closer to the equator. Just maybe the sun will be closer to the earth and therefore hotter in the sun. Plus you might need to have your ceremony later in the day - like 5:30 or 6pm if you are having it outside. Still havent picked a location ?!!!!

I chose Azul Beach b/c it was small - only 98 rooms. I did not want a big resort. I think Azul Beach is one of the only small resorts in the Riviera Maya. Plus, we get a donkey at our cocktail reception carrying 2 barrels of beer! Can you ask for anything better!!!

Tres Haciendas resorts look gorgeous! I am sure it will be fantastic there and very hip with the green theme. The prices dont look all that better though. Are you getting room rates better than their website? I think I'd like to honeymoon there !!!

Yeah even at the Azul Beach, I dont think the free wedding packages exist. I am excited about the hair too - thanks for the tip! Saves me $100+ Allisa, welcome back! Hope your wedding was all you imagined & more. Congrats Mrs!

Holy shit are you serious!?? I thought mine were going to be a lot but they are not - $80 each for bouquets and $50 or so for center pieces. What types of flowers are you using? Orchids

I sent STDs almost a year in advance and the invites 10 months before the wedding. I asked to RSVP by January but it doesn't really matter b/c we invited 40 ppl so I just email or call our guests to find out if they are coming. I am sure some of the yes's will turn into no's closer to the date too.

Ladies, make sure you look at the new banquet brochure too! Prices went down on virtually everything and there are better choices - at least I thought so. I changed from the BBQ - which went from 77 to 49 - to a sit down menu that looks awesome for 30!
