I dont think you need to ask him to take it down, as you really cant see your face, but if you feel uncomfortable, then its a reasonable request. Oh shitty! That sucks that some people could not get out of the airports! I had clients stuck here for 2 extra nights b/c Philly was closed. FI's brother (best man) was going to come the day before the wedding, and I told them no way - they have to come at least 2 days before in case anything happens to their flights. Sucks you didnt like your hair! So did you and Andrea see eachother lots? Your weddings were on different days, right? Yay! No rain on your wedding day!!!!!!!

Mark has this really THICK hair and when he needs a hair cut I call him the Lego Man b/c it looks like that hair from a lego person you could take on and off when you were a kid...... Anyways - we just ordered our Lego man and lady from eBay and that is going to be our cake topped I'll post a picture when we get them in the mail!!!

I am doing my own designed program - today was day 1 and I love the weight routine: Leg Press Incline Bench Curl & Press Cable Deadlift then row Lunges with Shoulder presses Assisted Pull Ups then Dips I did it twice as a circuit and felt great. Then did some planks and called it a day!

Villa is booked too - thats why I think Britney Spears is going to be there - all the rooms sold out immediately and the $4k a night Villa... LOL that would be HYSTERICAL if true.

10.10.10 is an awesome date!!! When I was a kid, I was convinced I was going to get married on 8.8.8! haha nope - 2 years later. I would seriously not listen to trip advisor. Everyone has a different perspective. Plus, the longer Sensatori stays open, the better the reviews are. _________________________________________________ Azul beach is giving me the RUN AROUND!!!! Obviously the 10 rooms Shandi released went to someone else. They keep telling me there was a waiting list and the rooms went there and they are over sold so blah blah blah.... No other time are they sold out and there are tons of other weekends where there are multiple weddings and rooms are still avaialble. they will not let me get on awaiting list - howvere they say her 10 rooms are booked to people on the waiting list. I am soooooo annoyed! 40+ rooms disappeared in a week. I think there is either a famous/rich person getting married there or someone who works at Karisma who has the hook up internally. I am going to keep trying, but it looks like a lost cause :-( BUMMER

Suzanne - I am getting my hair done at AB. I like being pampered and I would rather let a professional do my hair the day of my wedding. I am getting a trial run done here at home and going to take loads of pictures for the Mexico person to copy. I dont really have a set idea of what I want - so I feel like I can have my hairdresser play with me for an hour until we get it to look like how I like it the best. I have heard AS brides do trial runs before the wedding - you could also try that if you have the time! Less Is More, I would pick a set menu for the reception. They seem to work out a better price. Also, you get a dessert with the set menus so you dont need to have a cake.

Lolo - 13 days!!!!! wow thats awesome. I am so excited for you. The hotel is saying they are so sold out that even if these 10 rooms get released (I guess they are not released yet), that they will not put them in general inventory b/c they are so sold out. Its nuts. I think Karisma was closed today for Presidents Day. I am going to call again tomorrow morning and see what happens. Ahhhww Lindz you have such a romantic fiancee! I love it. Your weekend sounds like fun couple stuff and fun partying too - perfect! Amy - You'll have to tell us about the comments you get re your invites! I love the retro stamps, etc. They are so creative. I know! I can't believe that!!! Its fate!!!!!!!!!!! I'm going to see if they are going to release those rooms and also still price out the Villa and make the best decision. I'll let you all know what happens! Tomorrow I am buying my plane ticket to Cancun. I am going to a local TA - I think thats the best shot at being upgraded rather than buying online, right? Hey girls! How is everyone doing?? Tomorrow is weigh in for me and I was out at restaurants with client all week. I lost 2.5 pounds last week being so good. I hope I at least maintain. 3 1/2 months til I get married !!!!!!!!!

Lindz, Its so hard to say. Azul beach has only 98 rooms, so thats a problem to begin with. But I booked at the height of swine flu & a recession so I never thought they'd sell out in February! April or May at the earliest... I would suggest you call the hotel - both the reservations and the wedding department. I spoke to both and they were really nice and helpful. It was the same story my TA was telling me, but they had more ideas as to what to do and explained it better. I think we are going to book at AS and asked to be changed to AB if/when rooms free up. My one friend is also bunking w/ one of my bridemaids. So, we are trying all we can. I am much less stressed now. Takes 2 days to de stress !!! LOL

Thanks! Its funny now - kinda - how both ways - groups and individual bookings - are full of frustrations! I guess that's why planning a destination wedding is not always easier than at home! I found out that Friday and Saturday are the nights that are totally sold out so I am going to do split reservations. I also have someone checking on the Azul Villa for me - I would love to move family over there and then have all the friends in the Azul beach Hotel. Fingers crossed! Now I have to get to my To Do list instead of working out these rooms that ppl were too busy too book! pssssh!

Hi Leslie! Welcome to the thread! Picking a resort was sooo hard and I a couple times wanted to look at other options - but I am super happy I picked Azul! Happy planning! My first tidbit of advice! Get a group contract together!!

I am trying to see if there are any brides at Azul Beach from May 24 - 31 with extra rooms in their rooms blocks. The hotel is already sold out that week and I am HOPING that a bride on here can help me. I am sure someone must have a couple unused rooms in their blocks my guests could book.
