  1. Sunset in July is around 6:30. Ceremony around 4pm would be ideal as it won't be humid or hot. I would definitely try to avoid taking pictures of having a ceremony between the hours of 11am-3pm,if possible. Cheers.
  2. Welcome! Great location!
  3. I can only answer about the food, but vegetarian food in Cuba is not that good(feedback from 4 of my vegetarian clients)
  4. From my experience, most of my clients do sign all the legal paperwork in the own countries to avoid the hassle. If you are ok with all that and extra waiting time, then perhaps just do this in the country you are getting married at. Perhaps get a wedding planner as they'll be able to assist you with that.
  5. See if your hotel is in a network of hotels(eg Melia). This way you can just switch hotels whenever you want at no charge! Cheers
  6. You should get in touch with your resort's wedding planner. Because you are bringing 120 people to them, they'll be able to work with that. At least this was my experience as a vendor. They would only not care about that if your wedding is during the busiest time and they'll know they'll be booked anyways and providing any discounts would not be worth it for them. Cheers!
  7. In most cases travel agents don't cost anything, but if something happens, it's much easier to talk to them than reach someone at say expedia
  8. I travel up to 10 times a year and do check Tripadvisor too. However, you can rely on it much. I've stayed in 5-star resorts that had just positive reviews and my experience was absolutely awful and then I stayed at small 3-star resorts with a number of negative reviews and I loved it more than anything. FYI, a lot of resorts do check Tripadvisor to see where they are at. If they see something they can fix, there's a good chance, it will happen soon. But sometimes they can't do much about "moldy smells, or noises from other guests". Cheers!
  9. Sherri, For Cuba, fly his parents through Canada or Mexico(standard options),but you can also do it via other countries too. Cuba doesn`t stamp passports so unless he tells the customs agent that he was in Cuba, they would not be able to know where he is going/coming from Happy Planning!!
  10. Welcome! I just photographed 2 Indian destination weddings in the last 2 months and they are really sweet. My suggestion would be for you to bring everything you need for the ceremonies as in most cases you will not find it at those locations since Indian weddings are not that common down south. Happy Planning!!!
  11. Welcome! It will really depend on the day of your wedding. From my experience, prices will go up quite a bit after December 15th. You should plan to have your wedding in the beginning of December and $1600 all inclusive would not be a problem at all, especially in a couple of months when resorts will start offering better packages.
  12. Welcome to the forum and happy planning!!!

  14. Welcome to the forum! Lots of info on the forum on all the locations to make your planning easier!!
  15. Welcome! Check out the specific section of the website and I am sure you'll find some reviews!
  16. From my experience, they'll be able to stay there as long as they want. There won't be anyone following them around to check if they left yet.$50/day pass is pretty cheap!!! In most hotels it's around 100-150
  17. I don't know why would anyone get offended. Helping those in need should be in our hearts! We are fortunate to have so much and do posses a lot of junk in our homes that we don't need. However, do consider the fact that hotel workers such as maids and servers are one of the richest people in the country. Try perhaps give those things away to other workers in the hotel or even outside of the hotel.
  18. Honestly, they are ALL the same. No matter what resort you will chose. Sand, water and a portable gazebo or a table. cheers
  19. welcome and happy planning! Dmitri
