  3. Welcome and happy planning!
  4. Teasers are not meant to be printed actually. Those are web sized photos designed to be used only as online previews. I am surprised you were able to even print even a 4x6. Try to print a photo from the CD. You should be able to print them with no problem.
  5. My tip: relax and enjoy your wedding at a gorgeous place!!

Just a bit low by today's standards. I used to provide 6mp in 2004-2005. Most photo labs are able to upsize them. You only need 1200x1800pix to print a 4x6. Without digitally up-sizing, the biggest print you can do with your photos is 5x7... Just curious if that photographer was paid? I've heard of some who would do a free wedding, deliver small resolution files and then offer bigger files and other services for a higher fee. If you did not pay your photographer, I think you should be thankful you got some images at all. All the stories I hear about that are crazy! Good luck!

  11. You can probably negotiate the time of getting married when you arrive there. $$ talk Please note that if your guests are staying at different resorts, they will have to purchase a day pass to enter your hotel. That can be anywhere from $70-250pp.
  12. Photographers are charging what their clients are willing to pay for their talent. Also, a photographer charging 5K for a wedding can afford a much better photo gear than someone who's charging $500. Destination wedding photography can only feel like a vacation to someone who had never done it. Sure, we can have 1-2 days to relax, but there's no time! If photographer is busy, he/she will spend that time editing images and getting them ready for the client. Worrying about your $15K worth of gear and images being stolen from your room is not very fun as well.
  13. Here's a view of a photographer. 1.79mb is not how you tell whether it's a hi-res or low-res image. it just tells you the size of the file. Right click on the file, properties and go to Details. What does it say in the Dimensions line? It should say something like 3200 x 2000pix Multiply those number and you will get the actual resolution of that photo. I've printed billboards from 6mp images in the past. I've printed 30x40 canvases from 5mp files. I am shooting with 21mp cameras right now and deliver 9-11mp images to my clients. Those files are between 1.90mb-14mb in size, depending on how much information is present in those images. Getting 400 images from a wedding is not uncommon(well, maybe not from a 3 day event and 2 photographers present...),but you should've talked to them prior to know how many they deliver. I have that information on my website as well and typically shoot 60-80 images an hour. Some photographer deliver as little as 150 images per wedding. Some do shoot-burns with as high as 3-4K!! Get in touch with your photographers and talk to them. Ask about those missing shots.
