Because resort photographers do a lot of weddings on the same day and there are usually more than 1 photographer, you don't really need to book too far in advance. If one is not available, they'll just find some one else. Not all the resorts are like that of course, but most of them are. In a lot of cases you don't know who will be shooting your wedding or see the images they produce up until you arrive. Even then sometimes they will show what those photographers can produce and not necessary the work of certain photographers. It also depends on how many weddings that particular resort handle. If it's 5-6, then perhaps you shouldn't wait TOO long. If 1-2 then you are pretty much guaranteed to have someone there.
  2. I think Cuba would definitely be the cheapest option then Puerto Plata,Mexico and Jamaica. Happy planning
  3. 6pm is quite late. I mean, weddings do run late all the time. Yo will only have a window of about 20 minutes. If you are late, the ceremony is going to be at night and that's not ideal. Especially because there are power interruptions a few times a week and who knows...
  4. It's a tropical storm time,but it's not everywhere OR every week.

As far as I know, you can't own anything unless you are Cuban and all the resorts are owned by the Government.
  6. In February the sunset is at around 6:10-6:20 and then darkness comes Pictures at night are not easy to do and then they rarely look as good as pictures at other times of the day. Good luck!
