Attire $1200 + Photographer $1800 Resort Fees $700 BD Photos $900 (under budget :-) Misc decor $1500+ Total: $14300 I'm guessing this will be close estimating the mics stuff at $1500. I'm actually hoping that will be a really high estimate since the DIY projects should be really inexpensive but I'm shooting higher just in case. Considering this includes the E-Ring, Wedding AND honeymoon I think I'm doing really good :-)
  2. We ordered one a couple weeks back as well and it's been shipped. I will post pictures when it gets here.
  3. I like this one. Someone sent it around last year and I actually printed it out and left it in the breakroom.
  4. I can't believe it's so close. Everything looks wonderful, you did a great job preparing and saving $$$ I wish I was half that organized. I know you and Joe will have an amazing wedding-you deserve nothing short of the best. Now-relax and enjoy your trip.
  5. We're going with Couples San Souci for our weddingmoon. We looked at Sandals but there were a couple reasons we decided on Couples. 1. The Couples Message Board-great place to get info from people that have been there, some of them many times. 2. The inclusions-CSS seemed to have a wider range of included activities. 3. The CSS property is a quieter resort. We're don't want to be around a lot of people for the wedding/honeymoon. If we were on vacation it might be different. 4. Couples has some great specials. We got in on a $350 Spa Credit and $150 Gift Shop Credit when we booked. 5. We could get an upgraded room at Couples for the same price as the basic room at Sandals. So, good luck deciding :-)
  6. Thanks for the kudos :-) I went today with a girlfriend and had my viewing session at the studio. I was so happy with the un-edited pictures I can't wait to see the edited ones!!! They're going to send me my gallery information so I can design my book so I'll link it when it comes. This has been so much fun!!!
  7. Sounds like a good time to make a fresh start. Especially if the main factor holding you was the house and now that has changed. You'll always have your memories but you have a chance to build your own memories with the man of your dreams, future in-laws that you love and even though the economy can be scary don't let it ruin the other things you have going. Good luck!
  8. Wow! You deserve it, the picture is amazing. Congratulations.
  9. I am going to be there after we get back too. I've actually been thinking about it in advance so I can try not to let it get too bad. I'm already counting down the days at work until we leave and I know coming back is going to be so miserable. I hate my job so much and sometimes life just drags. My post wedding plan to combat the blues is to try and find something coming up in the future that I can look forward to and plan. Even if it's as simple as a weekend trip or even something special for our first anniversary. It won't be the same experience as the lead up to the wedding but just the idea of having something to look forward to will help. If you find any brilliant solution please let me know :-)
  10. That is awesome. Makes me wish I had a wedding party, I would borrow that entrance in a heartbeat.

    Congrats and welcome Amy!
  12. Can you try and call some back up alterations shops? Explain your situation and offer to pay a rush fee if they can fix it then demand the other place cover the charges or refund you initial money? Good luck. And I agree with the idea of finding a back up option.

  14. I think the website is almost more for me than anyone else. I don't think my guests or other family have visited it at all even though I sent it out. I spent a lot of time on it and at first I was disappointed but after thinking about it I had a great time designing it and it's a fun reminder of my progress. It would be nice to see a comment or two though :-)

    Sad news

Aww. I hope your Mom is doing better. If something happened to one of my kitties I wouldn't know what to do.
  17. Ugh. That reminds me I need to book a trip for later this year I've been putting off. I hate airlines.
  18. Beautiful! I love the dress and the group shot at the end with you in the sunglasses. Congratulations!

    Welcome Jennifer and Congratulations!
  20. The climate will be humid so you may need to adjust the type of foundation or powder you would normally wear. Good luck!
  21. My service is usually around $80 or so and I tip about $10. Maybe it's too low. I've always wondered and never asked. I know they get 45% of the service + 10% on product.
  22. How nice of him. He did a wonderful job with the TTD and you both look amazing.
  23. We chose an AI because we only have immediate family attending and wanted to be able to do a lot of activities together. When we priced it all out the AI was less expensive. Our group is adult couples so we chose an AI that catered to that demographic. If we had singles or children we might have gone a different direction. Good luck on your choice.
