Thanks Tammy, I didn't realize that she was using a TA. Definitely want to get the freebies! Tammy knows best, I would take her advise. Tammy, correct me if I am wrong, but cant online websites bump you from the hotel also? Elise, again, take into consideration what you are getting for that price, maybe if you arent getting anything included your TA can negotiate for those things rather than a lower price, but try what Tammy said 1st. I hope that it all works out, the resort is really beautiful, and now with the new beach is amazing!! ~Tanya

Its not fair to ask my guests to pay that much more. When I selected this resort it was based on a travel site search of prices and also that they lead me to believe the contract would give people the option of 2 types of rooms and no where did it say in our earlier conversations that we would be limited and that the majority of the room block would have to be expensive rooms. The pricing for a room in this resort is very high, considering the lack of onsite amenities. We could do a larger resort with way more amenities that is just as nice for cheaper. When are you getting married? I too have a group contract but not with the hotel, my situation is reversed, most of my rooms blocked were the "deluxe" rooms with about 10 of the "superior deluxe" rooms. Why don't you have the remaining guests book online, or perhaps look into using a TA. Good Luck, keep us posted!

While I *think* I know exactly who is coming to the ceremony (about 20 people), I feel the need to put an RSVP spot for the ceremony on the card too... because my family is weird... and I have heard rumors of one family member telling another that they are coming... but they never actually told ME, the bride, of their intentions. Alas, I digress... Here is what I have right now... I can no longer tell if it's perfectly clear what I am asking, and my family and friends are really being of no help. I went CRAZY for weeks trying to get it right! Good Luck

Just recently I've read somewhere that this church is actually on 12th street between 15th and 20th avenues. I've looked at maps of PDC that have little icons to show where churches are and there is in fact a church right by PP and another church on 12th street/15th-20th avenue...WHICH ONE IS MY CHURCH!?!?! I'm so confused! I thought we'd be so close that we could just walk to our church, and now I'm thinking we're going to have to rent vans : ( Has anybody actually seen where this church is in relation to Playacar Palace?? Please help straighten me out! Hi~ I have been to PDC, and have seen the church on 5th, but to be honest I am not sure if the one in the picture is the same. If it is on 5th, it is about a 5-7 minute walk back to the hotel. What is the name of your church? Maybe you can ask Gilberto (the WC) or whom ever you are dealing with at the property. ( don't ask Miami office, I don't think they would know) Also, I think one of the girls said that they were going on a site visit soon, maybe they will check it out for you. I am thinking about going for a quick trip over the summer, if you don't know my then I will definitely go to the churches for you.

Pashmina and Hangover kit done!!!

Where do you ladies buy your pashminas? I want to buy them, but don't want to spend too much money. -

I am so excited, the PP was a great choice but I have to tell you FI and I were kicking the idea around of changing bc of the beach, it was the only thing that we didn't love, in addition, I had my heart set on having the ceremony on the beach, and just in the past couple of months did I come to terms with the fact that it wasn't going to be on the beach! So I am thrilled about the beach restoration. I spoke to the WC today and he confirmed that they will be performing ceremonies on the beach. So I had him change my location ASAP.

BTW, I haven't told you this yet, but thank you for posting your website link! It's a really great site! I hope you don't mind, but I used some of your wording for my Playa del Carmen and Playacar Palace pages on my site. You just summed everything up so well! I know that is what I am thinking too! O no problem, take what ever you need, I borrowed stuff from all of the forum as well as the palace website.

RaychelRae- I know how you feel...I was so sick over the whole beach thing after our site visit, I knew there wasnt much beach, but when i was there, there was nothing, then my parents went a few months after us and it was worse. So this is BY FAR the best news. I am just wondering if any of you ladies, heard if they will be performing ceremonies on the beach?

How much are you selling them for? Also, could you tell me the height from the bottom to the tallest branch? I am in Central Jersey too, easy to pick up!
