If anyone is wondering, the websites I was trying to get info for only make "replicas". They are not the real deal and I've seen pictures of some of their "replica dresses" and they look nothing like the real ones. I did find a couple sites that only offer the "real" designer dresses. Of course they are a lot pricier.

AND Yes! I decided on a Maggie. I feel better that I went and tried the dresses on. My new dress isn't even one of the ones I saw online. It's different than any thing I would wear but I feel like I have a "wedding dress" now. =) I'm very happy!!

Well I did it. I went to a bridal shop that specifically works with Maggie Sottero to try the dresses on that I found on the internet. The only way I was walking out of there with a new dress was if it beat my first wedding dress. Well, it did. It's a brand new style from Maggie and wasn't even one of the dresses I saw on the internet. I am absolutely in love with this dress and it looks amazing. It is perfect in every way!!! The one I tried on was a size 12 (I am a size 4) so it was way to big but they clipped it up for me. The dress was also really long, made for girls who are 5'9. Mine will be a little bit shorter. It is in diamond white and cost over $1,000, but is well worth it!! I am so happy that I went to the bridal shop and tried the dresses on. I feel a lot better about this wedding gown than the other. Don't get me wrong, the other dress is gorgeous and looks great on me but I wasn't feeling it any more. This dress is the one for sure!! =) Here are the pictures. Don't mind my facial expressions, I wasn't ready for any of the pictures. hehehe here is the dress one me and on the model Reema - by Maggie Sottero The dress on the model is in light gold. My dress will be in diamond white which is a light ivory color. I will be having the straps removed (they look good, but they are really itchy and I like the dress better strapless). The back is corset, so it will match by bridesmaids dresses a little better but I will still stand out as the bride. =) Oh and the veil comes with the dress (optional), but I will be wearing it a little differently. The bridal consultant showed me different ways to wear the veil. I am going to have the veil bustled. I have to wait until January for my actual dress to arrive but that's okay. The bridal shop keeps the dress for me in a fire proof safe and they steam/press/etc. the dress and place it in a body form and a protective garment bag safe for flying. So I am really happy with not only my dress but the bridal shop as well. Let me know what you think! Also, I am selling my other wedding dress. I already posted a thread about it. Thanks!!

It is actually brand new. The store just got it in their shipment yesterday when I tried it on. The style name is Reema. The picture online shows it in gold. Mine will be diamond white which is light ivory. It also has straps but I am getting them removed. I have to get pictures up. The dress I'm selling costs $500 plus tax. Right now I'm asking $450 plus shipping. If someone offers me a good price I will definitely sell. I need the money to put towards the balance of my new dress as it cost $1000+.

I was having second thoughts about my wedding gown that I purchased from Alfred Angelo. I found something a whole lot better. I just went to a bridal shop that works specifically with Maggie Sottero. I just purchased my Maggie Sottero gown. I have to wait a few months to get it but it will be worth the wait! It is amazing. So I am selling my Alfred Angelo dress for $500 shipping included. It is a size 4. It has had no alterations. Brand new with tags in place. See pictures below. The dress on me: On the model:

I am going to a bridal shop this week to try on more wedding dresses; Maggie Sottero gowns specifically. I already purchased my wedding gown from Alfred Angelo. I love my dress but I keep having second thoughts. So I've decided that it wouldn't hurt for me to go try on the dresses that I really like.

I havent found anything out yet. I can't even find reviews for the site.

Has anyone bought a dress from dresstimes.com or topbridaldress.com?? I found a few dresses that I like that are from top designers. They claim the dresses are the real deal but they are really inexpensive which makes me question that they are not real.

I am thinking the same idea for our groomsmen: a light long sleeved shirt and possibly going with grey or tan pants. My fiance will probably wear the same thing but will have a light jacket also. We are definitely not going to rent any suits/ tuxes. I think it is too much of a hassle to rent them and have to return them when we are not going completely formal since it is a beach wedding. I'm sure I can buy these items anytime but was just curious as to when everyone else did this.

do you have a picture of the dress I've seen some dresses by Maggie Sottero that are for destination/ beach weddings and they have pewter color on them and I think they are gorgeous and work well for beach weddings.

When did you pick out / purchase the wedding attire for your groom and groomsmen? I'm not sure when I should do this. Do I wait until it gets closer to the wedding or start now??

today I put my wedding dress on..again..and I decided that when I get alterations I'm not going to have them shorten the dress because I want the train to stay as long as it is. I think once I have it taken in an inch or two (the dress should be a little more snug than it is because that is how it was designed to be) and have the straps taken in just a little that it will be perfect. I mean after all when I first tried the dress on they clipped all up to have it fit perfectly (not that it doesn't fit perfectly now). The only problem I have with the dress not being shortened is the front is a little long even with a heel or wedge. (I have wedges at home that I tried on with the dress because I wanted to see if that is the height I wanted for my shoe, but I would have to walk on sand somewhere to see if they would work for a beach ceremony) BUT I am definitely keeping my dress!!

That dress is gorgeous. It says that the dress isn't available in stores and only available online. If you want the real thing and perhaps it might be hit or miss to find the real thing anywhere but at David's Bridal, maybe you should just call David's Bridal and tell them you want that dress. I don't think they would show the dress online if they weren't going to have it back in stock =) Just a suggestion

I am feeling much better about my dress. Although I still look at other dresses on the forum and online. I think once I get my ttd dress I will feel even better haha
