I'll have to slyly mention it at the trial haha. The price he quoted me for the BM's was 72 for hair, and 120 for both hair & makeup --not bad. For me I think it's like 136 total -which is great!! Is that what he quoted you as well? I can't wait to heat the scoop from you when you get back. How's the home stretch treating you? I actually called him and when we were talking I said I was concerned about so many stylists coming because of the guest passes. He said he would call the resort and speak with them since he speaks Spanish. I guess we'll see if he actually follows through. I was quoted the same thing for bridesmaids, but $170 for hair and make up for me. I'm really interested to see what the airbrushing looks like, I've never tried it before. Thankfully I'm going in for a trial before the wedding to check it out. The home stretch has been great, though I still have a few things to check off my list. Mostly getting ready for the vacation part is what I still have left to do. I'm excited and can't wait to share all the details!!

Yes, my wedding is in 2 weeks and I'm crazy excited!! Trevor did say they could do either, shuttle or come to the resort. That is honestly one of the main reasons I wanted to go with a stylist so that I could just have my hair done in the room. However, the brunch does sound really fun too! He does seem to have GREAT prices. I asked him about the guest passes and he told me not to worry about it, that he would talk with the resort and get it covered. I guess since he is not going to be using the facility or having dinner he will probably try and convince them that he doesn't need to pay. But, since he said not to worry I am assuming he'll cover the cost if they do make him pay. Hopefully someone will jump in and give us a review, but I think he's going to be great!

Yeah Shannon!! Thank you sooo much for you review! Very helpful! I'm bummed to hear you didn't like the Mexican Restaurant =( That is where we are having our rehearsal dinner. Oh well, I probably won't even be able to eat that night anyway I'll be too excited!! I'm sooo glad to hear how great the DJ was. We are having him also and I am pumped. Did he do the cold fireworks for you? Karla never got back to me about whether or not that was allowed. Anyway, so happy you had a great time!! Leah =)

We actually met Rachel and Paul last summer when we did a site visit. They were AWESOME!! They will be shooting our wedding in June and we are super excited. They appear to do great work! Not too mention I think their prices are much more reasonable then some of the others in the area. Hope that helps!

Due to wind, they moved a wedding in the chapel the night of the rehearsal, set us off about 30-40 minutes...no worries... =) I was late and lost the English speaking judge...had to have it translated and they forgot to do the exchange of rings...no worries...we really let everything slide and had a blast. The DJ was GREAT, and Claudia (photog) was AMAZING. She held us together.... I will write my full review within the week, things are still a little hectic. Things fall into place and if it doesn't...you shouldn't worry...that was my theme and we had the best time of our lives!!!! Yeah!!!! I'm so glad everything was so wonderful for you. My fiancee just asked me the other day if I was going to be okay if things didn't go perfectly. I told him that as long as they don't bring me some wacky color flowers or something I'll probably just roll with the punches! I can't wait to see more pics! You looked beautiful and I'm sure Claudia took even more amazing pictures!!! Congrats again!! =)

Thanks again As far as I know this is the only one. I suppose you could always try and request another restaurant. Last summer we went to a friends wedding at the Lindo. They had their dinner at an a la carte and it was very nice. The resort did a nice job making it feel private. They were able to do speeches, just without a microphone, but no first dance. We had a small group and it was perfect!

I'm kind of confuse with the options for the reception. Do you think you could explain to me all the option? If you have time I would really appreciate!!! Thanks, Mags To have a private reception you just pay an additional $800. The $2450 includes dinner for 10 people at any of the a la carte restaurants. Each extra person is $20. Hope that helps!! The wedding coordinators are telling me that I can't choose the rehearsal time at the chapel ahead of time, because they don't know if it's available. And also that I can't choose the rehearsal restaurant beforehand, because they don't know if it's available. And also that they can't guarantee that our guests will be put in rooms close to each other. I have less than 30 guests. How is it possible that the coordinators don't know? My wedding is more than a month in advance. It costs alot of money to have a wedding at Iberostar, and I'm not getting the few things I'm requesting. I tried politely to explain my frustration, and they responded with "This is how all the hotels of the world work." Does anyone have any insight for me? Thanks! That is so weird. Karla asked me awhile ago which restaurant I would like to have the rehearsal and what time. She did say we could either do 6:30 or 8:30. Regarding the rooms, our travel agent is going to give her Iberostar contact a list of all the guests and will be requesting that they are in the same building. When we stayed at the Lindo last year for a wedding we were in the same building as everyone else. They may just say that to cover themselves in case they are unable to accommodate. Maybe the reason they can't guarantee a chapel rehearsal is because if there is rain my wedding will be moved there. But, hopefully that is not the case!!! That is so fun that you are getting married the day after us!! Hope this helps!! Leah

And I'm sorry if I missed it in the posts already, is there a private reception at the Lindo? I didn't think. LDeeken & Lindobride - are you in Chicago or the suburbs? I'm in Joliet Yeah the ala carte think kind of stinks. But like I said, if your guests are more concerned with saving money then they might not care. And then if they do they can stay at the Lindo. We have a combo of both. We live in Lake in the Hills near Crystal Lake!

That's what I have been told too. To me that is the ONLY negative thing about staying at the Del Mar. However, the wedding night dinner does not count towards that. So if they were there for 4 nights they would have 2 nights with buffet. I have read some places that if there is room at the restaurant you may be able to get in, but that's not guaranteed. Kind of a bummer, but if people are really looking to pay less they may not care. You can still stay at the Lindo and have unlimited a la cartes. That's what we are doing. Hope that helps!!

I cannot thank all of you enough for your posts - it really helped me make the decision in the end!! Congratulations!! I remember this time last year trying to decide on a resort. I spent hours on the computer doing research. It is such a great feeling to finally know where you are getting married!! Good Luck with your planning, this forum is the best for planning!!
