Hey ladies! I am getting married at PPR on November 27, 2010. I have been dealing with Noelia but since we paid the deposit and signed the contract, I haven't had much contact with her. I basically harassed her for weeks prior to booking because I wanted to know exactly what was going on before I booked a date. My recommendation would be to sit down and write up a list of questions like Luciel suggested. I basically started my questions with arriving to the resort and broke it down in sections like room upgrades, ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception etc. As I get closer to my date, I'm sure I'll have more to fill you all in on. If you get all the "red tape" cleared up before you book, you should feel at ease and be able to concentrate on the fun stuff! I am in the process of getting together my OOT bags which has been really fun. Anyone that gets new info, please share!!

Congratulations!! It sounded beautiful! We are getting married there on November 27, 2010 so your review was really helpful. Did you pick a specific wedding package or did you do it a la carte? We were told that even if you pick a wedding package, you have to pay an extra fee per person for open bar but it sounds like you got around that one! How many guests did you have? Where was your cocktail hour and where was the reception? Any other info or pics would be great!!

Hi ladies! We recently decided to postpone our wedding date from November 2009 to August 2010 due to the economy. It is actually a relief because that gives me plenty of time to plan! Please share any news or updates from the resort that you know of. I am also trying to find anyone who has gotten married there to hear their review. While we were planning initially, I did receive a ton of information from the WC and have it saved in a file on my email (I HIGHLY recommend doing this so you have all your correspondence in one place). Hi 123 Lana, Congratulations on your recent wedding! I am having so much difficulty with planning right now. I would love to hear all of the details on how everything turned out for you. Specifically: Which wedding package did you choose and was it worth the extra money for basically the ceremony setup (flowers/color scheme) Was there music playing as you walked down the aisle? Did you have a cocktail reception following the ceremony? If so, was it complimentary and what was your menu options/beverage options? What was the decor for the outside buffet reception? Menu/beverage options? Did you choose an included bouquet or upgrade? How long did the reception last? What did you do for music during the reception? What did you and your guests do following the reception? Sorry, I know there are a lot of questions but if you could help, I would really appreciate it!!! Thanks so much!

Hi Jennifer, Congratulations!!! You may still be at the resort at the time I am writing this. I would love to hear how everything turned out on your big day! I am especially curious on the flowers and bbq buffet. If you could forward any information you received directly from the WC regarding the menus, flowers, etc. I'd love to see it. I am really torn with the food for the reception. I wanted to do a sit down dinner outside but they can only do a buffet outdoors. Just wanted to see how that turned out. jennifergk13, Congratulations on your upcoming wedding! I'm getting married at Moon Palace Punta Cana on November 21 and can't wait! I completely understand your feelings regarding the completion (or lack thereof) of the resort. We loved all the amenities the resort has to offer and how beautiful everything looked, which is why we chose the resort. Who is your WC? I was originally speaking with Diana but since our date has been confirmed, I have been corresponding with Michaelle. I would love to hear any details regarding your wedding. Right now we are just booked for the complimentary package until we decide which one we want. I am also waiting for a price sheet for the additional add-ons because we want to do something private for our 20 guests. Are you getting married on the beach? Are you receiving the complimentary cocktail reception? What are you planning on doing for the reception? This has been my hardest decision so far because I want to do something more than just a dinner in one of the restaurants with all of the other people staying at the resort. Cynthia & Steve: November 21, 2009 - Moon Palace Punta Cana

According to the WC at MP Punta Cana, the different packages differ not only in color of decor but in flower types. The more expensive packages include some orchids whereas the less expensive packages have just a tropical mix of flowers. In addition, the more expensive packages include a soloist for the ceremony. I have officially reserved my date (yeah!) and for right now, we are going with the complimentary package until we decide. MP is supposed to be putting together a list of add-ons with prices, which is what I'm waiting for in order to decide. Keep me posted on your progress ladies!

Hello ladies! After many months of research, I have finally decided on MP PC for my DW. Even though the resort is not even close to being done (according to trip advisor reviews) I figure by November, things should be ok. I actually just faxed over my date request form so hopefully we can confirm the date for November 21, 2009. I am so excited, let the planning begin! I would love to hear from anyone planning on getting married at this resort or any other helpful info!

I too have been pricing out trips online but it is getting to be such a headache because I am quoting for family members in several different states who are staying for different lengths of time. I am interested in contacting a TA who specializes in DW (we are planning on Moon Palace Punta Cana). Any recommendations on a super organized TA would be much appreciated!

All of the reviews I've read so far say that once it is complete, it will be beautiful. Many of the travelers mentioned that during their stay, lots of progress had been made. I'm glad to hear you enjoyed the food. My to-be hubby is a chef and good food is a must! Danielle: Thanks for the response! I read your review and loved how detailed it was, it really helped! I think we are going to go with MP PC, I just love how the rooms look and the amenities (once they are complete) will be killer. Hey there ladies! Looking for a little help. I am just learning how to navigate this site so I apologize if I'm posting in the wrong place but I need help! We are getting married in November 2009 and I still have not booked a resort yet. I have been holding out for the Moon Palace Punta Cana which originally was set to open Fall 2008 but as you may know, opened January 2009. The resort is still under construction. My original date was June 20, 2009 but we moved it to the fall since the resort would not have the golf course or casino by June. Anyways, I was notified by email of the changes to the wedding packages MP has to offer this week. I was surprised they no longer include spa services for the bride such as hair style/mani/pedi etc. Does anyone know what they charge at the spa for a wedding day up-do? With the changes to the wedding packages I have begun to consider going with Paradisus Palma Real. The WC emailed me the packages and the prices for each but after reading some of the posts, I am wondering if they hit you for extra charges? If anyone can provide any info, I would appreciate it. I know price is taboo to discuss but the main reason for us to do a DW was to avoid the astronomical costs associated with a traditional wedding. With regards to Paradisus, I am liking the "Chill Out Chic" package but would want to swap the informal buffet dinner for a sit down dinner on the beach. If you have any info, I would love to hear back from you! Thanks in advance!

I am experiencing the same thing right now! Although I haven't booked yet, I have been emailing with the WC at Moon Palace PC since before the resort even opened. This whole time I was under the impression I was going pay for the superior wedding package and receive spa treatments, hair, mani and pedi. Well, that is no longer included in their packages so those things will now have to be purchased separately. Not sure if I am going to go with MP, also thinking Paradisus Palma Real...anyone have recommendations or info?
