[email protected] Yeah cake & flower pictures!! Thanks Mesita! Everyone around me is flipped out as well and my date isint for another year..Mexico is getting a bad wrap right now. Do the THOUSANDS of montly car accident fatalites stop people from driving to work!?! I am hoping common sense kicks in for your guests (and mine) some where along the line...my fi's mom was talking about not coming before the flu..so we probably wont be seeing her..lol..whatever!

Who hoo..my coordinator suggested we wait to book until the rates dropped..good news!!! I didn’t know that about the packages..that makes it even better on the budget...maybe I'll get something upgraded!

Lauren, you look great in your dress!!! I love it! Are you taking a hair stylist with you? I'm going to wait until fall to go dress shopping hopefully there will be some sales. Mesita, girl I'm in the same boat as you, Lee and I aren’t having any attendees bc I know so many of my friends and family will "say" they are coming and not show....so I am visualizing an intimate ceremony with my most important peeps...and I'm good with that. Be sure to register so all those people who don’t show will hopefully get you great gifts

Wow those are great pix Mesita! Thanks for sharing! Question Ladies: Did you pay a $500 to book your wedding date? My coordinator is saying its not required but a room deposit is per the new person at EPM but I am almost positive it saw a deposit for the wedding on the website. Thanks for the help!

I love your centerpieces...Awe yes I love the lanterns and stones for the ceremony too! You all are sooo creative I am not a DIY kinda girl but I'm inspired by all of the creations ! Who did you get your invites through? They are beautiful and look very expensive..I have been searching for the perfect one but not found any economical...I think I have unrealistic ideas of what invitations should cost..

Oh wow! I love the gazebo I only wish you could see the ocean from it...is anyone doing additional decorations aside from flowers in it?

~Lori Welcome! I had similar issues when picking a resort, I finally decided on Excellence Playa Mujeres based on reviews from Tripadvisor and a referral from a well traveled friend. Watch out for beach quality in the reviews you'll see many of the beaches arent swimable... Friends that attended a wedding at Excellence said My the food was awesome, especially the lobster tails!

~Love Love Love Your hair!! and dress!! Are you taking a stylist with you? My wedding is not for an entire year and one of my major concerns is getting my hair done "onsite". I'm black and who knows what my hair will look like after a few days of swimming, but i'm not sure if my budget is going to allow for me to foot the bill for my stylist~ You look awesome!

Questions from a Newbie...hey ladies I just decided on Excellence I am so excited! I have a few basic questions on the blog and Excellence: Lauren where did you get the logo that has your name on it and the resort..I love it! Also is anyone getting married in the gazebo? If so do you know if there are there options for different chairs other than those in the pictures? Also for this blog where do you get the wedding date tickers and how do you add them, I also tried to add a picture of my fiancé and me but it didn't show up any advice?
