  1. Ladies, for those who are having their reception on the beach like i am next year, do you know how late we can stay out there? Angie from Condo Villa World told me you have to be out by 10pm. I think that is way to early to end a reception!!! i also read somewhere else that you can have the reception on the beach until 11pm - so im just confused. Does anyone else know what time the reception has to end if on the beach? Anyone else concerned that 10pm is to early?! Thanks! Adriana
  2. hello! I am getting married at the royal next april 23, 2010. I chose the month of April because I read it is the driest month of the year with little rain. However, I've been checking the weather forecast the past week and for next week and it shows rain almost every day! Does anyone know how accurate these are? or if it rains -is it only for a short period of time? My ceremony and reception is on the beach, i can't imagine what i would do if it happened to rain the day of the wedding! Is anyone else worried about it raining? Thanks! Adriana
  3. What is everyone doing for a rehearsal dinner? I don't understand why the hotel can't make a group reservation at one of their restaurants for our party since we are paying to be be able to eat at their all-inclusive restaurants. I would have liked to do this rather than have to spend more money on an outside restaurant or a private event.
  4. hello! For those of you who have gotten married at the Royal and said that there are a lot of things you can figure out when you arrive to the hotel. What exactly is that? Curious to learn what I can putoff until then. I also spoke to the WC Michel who told me the lighted dancefloor is not standard and it depends on the supplier, and they are trying that all the brides can get it but unfortunately it doesn´t depends on them. Sometimes they have it available that is why some brides had had this service. Interesting.... Thanks! Adriana
  5. did any of you ladies who have gotten married on the beach and had their reception on the beach - did you have a choice of location on the beach? i heard there are a few spots to have a beach wedding/ceremony. Anyone know of which one is the best spot? Thanks! Adriana

Our ceremony is in the gazebo and we are having cocktails outside of the gazebo area afterwards. There is an extra charge to have your reception on the beach - $50 US per person if a Royal guest, $60 if the guest is staying at the Gran, and $70 if the guest is staying at any other resort. Children are allowed for all of the wedding activities, but they are strict on the +16 age minimum otherwise. Paty used to be the wedding coordinator, but Zulma took over about a month ago... Antonia, if this is news to you PM me and I'll send you Zulma's contact info. I haven't looked into the dance floors and speakers yet... right now I'm involved with sorting out a lounge set up. Zulma got me in touch with an outside vendor and I'm hoping to have lounge furniture, etc. on the beach. Hope this helps! Let me know if you have any other questions! do happen to have the name of the vendor that does the lounge setup? if so, could you please send me an email with the contat info? [email protected]
  7. HI Everyone, I am a newbie! but i really need some help. I am all set for the Iberostar Paraiso Beach Resort and plan to get married on the Beach in April 2010. I've noticed many brides plan to marry at the Gazebo. Is there anyone out there who plans to marry on the beach? I'm just worried about guests at the resort being so close to us during the ceremony. I dont mind people watching, but i saw a few photos of someone's beach wedding and you could see people in the shot & in the background and to me it just looked really cheesy. i was wondering if anyone else had these reservations about a beach ceremony? Thanks so much! Adriana
