  1. St. Bernard - I'm definitely not a small dog person.. Would you rather have an allergy to water or to sunlight?

I know many of you are doing your own centrepieces and bringing them down but i want to cost out what they offer. Do you know if they at least provide glass vases free for us to use? Thanks ! Hi Lara, You can use this link to see pictures of what they have done in the past. Picasa Web Albums - Weddingbymajestic... - Bouquets I asked for a prices for a few items and this is what I got: Bride bouquet B-45 US$150 Boutenniere: BT-08 US$20 Corsage: CG-02 – US$60 Centerpiece CP-16 US$35 I also asked for the price to do a gerber daisy centerpeice with a short round glass vase and they came back with a price of $75!! I think I'm going to get real touch flowers and bring them with me and then only pay for the centerpeices. Hope this helps!
  3. Stuck on a high bridge for sure! I've been stuck in an elevator before and I completely freaked out! Would you rather have really bad breath or really bad B-O... remember, you can't fix it.
  4. The problem is that PowerPoint doesn't recognize a clear background so you'll always get the white backgroung. There are two solutions. 1. change the white background in photoshop to match the coloured background you have in PowerPoint. OR 2. Create your entire background in photoshop - stamps and all - and then import into PowerPoint.
  5. Ummm insane bridezilla! I'm way too much of an organizer not to have any control over our wedding... Would you rather have no taste buds or no sensation in your entire body?
  6. Hi Jodi, Have you considered doing a symbolic ceremony and getting married legally at home before you leave? They usually have times available for symbolic ceremonies and you don't need a judge to do it, the coordinator can officiate or even a close friend if you like.
  7. Would you rather be completely hairless - including the hair on your head - or have an excessive amount of body hair...
  8. I like the third option also. But it your looking for more ideas, theknot.com is a great website with tons of photos of centerpeices and you can search by colour if you want.
  9. FYI - both Yadillis and Maritee are on vacation right now leaving just Sandra... she's probably swamped with the other two's emails and files... might take her a bit longer to get back to you.
  10. Hmmm... I think I would go with no ears because I could hide it with my hair... yup ms. vain right here! And I would probably also save my child over my husband...because I would want him to do the same...man that's a hard one. Ok, now I have to think of a really good one...
  11. That is a horrible question! I think I'd rather drown because theoretically you would pass out first from lack of oxygen... burning would be way too painful! Would you rather talk to animals or speak all languages?
  12. I would definately want to know and make the most out of it. Oh and the apparent 'right' answer for the first question is to be ugly and live to 100 because life is what you make of it. Would you rather have a nose that glows bright red when your excited or have steam come out of your ears when your mad?
  13. Thought I'd share this with you guys and see what the collective answers are... You basically have to choose between two options and can't make alternatives... it's either one or the other. Here is the first question: Would you rather be beautiful but die at the age of 50 or be ugly and live to 100? Feel free to answer and post your own question. I'll post the "answer" to this one later tonight. Enjoy!
  14. Congratulations! And welcome to the Majestic Colonial Bride Club! There is a great thread on here for majestic brides and facebook also has a good group too! Don't stress, these are happy times
  15. Glad to hear it all worked out. Looks like you have some good options for the sashes and 12 pounds should easy to manage!
  16. Never say never... sometimes you definately need to talk things out. Any updates?
  17. Wow... this is a lot bigger than chair sashes. Good for you though for not walking away when things are too emotional. I agree that's the best way to go. Since this is opening up a can of worms (for lack of a better term) I would suggest you ask your FI to write down everything he is feeling and you do the same. Then schedule a night to "talk." Order pizza, open a bottle of wine and read each others words. This way you'll both be calm and can appreciate what the other is saying and work through it. Just a thought...
  18. Oh and FYI, there are a bunch of chair sashes on sale on ebay. Most ship to Canada for a reasonable fee and will take them back within 7 days with a full refund minus 15%. If you can time it right you can buy them, use them and send them back with it only costing you a fraction of the cost.
  19. Ok first off, guys are dumb. I'm not trying to be mean but they really don't have the same attention to detail as we do and its true, in the end they don't really care. Example, my fiance doesn't think spending money on invites is worth it and wants to send out email invites! Ok but enough about me, I think the best thing for you to do is wait til you hear from your supplier about shipping to Canada. Tell your FI that you're looking into all options right now and want to base your decision on what is most economical but still getting what you'd prefer. While its a big help that your MIL is willing to plan and help out, ultimately the decisions are yours to make.
  20. I don't think you're being ridiculous, if you want one over another you and your FI should get to make that choice, not your MIL. Instead of buying them and bringing them with you can you rent them near the reception in Canada? I know there are some cheaper online stores that you can get sashes from so maybe look into that and have them shipped directly to your MIL. Just a thought. Good Luck!
  21. If there are any brides who are getting married the end of May or beginning of June who want to share a photographer PM me. And congrats to those who are new to the thread!
  22. Hey CnC, I'm getting married at the colonial June 2nd next year. We decided to go with the colonial because of the reviews and it was slightly cheaper than the Elegance. I think the only difference is that the Elegance is newer. Good luck picking your resort and date!
  23. When I did a google search I found the following code for the dress: JSM1079 It seems all of their dresses have JSM leading off the style number so hopefully this is the right one for you. If you search it on google you will see the dress you found. Good luck!
